Hello, everybody, and welcome back. This is the creative
Speaker:collaboration show with Chuck Anderson. I have another amazing guest for
Speaker:you today, and we're going to dive deep into a topic that I think is
Speaker:relevant to all of you. As you know that this show is about how do
Speaker:we move from being a solopreneur into building something
Speaker:much more significant? And in order to do that, we need
Speaker:to connect and partner with amazing people. As we always
Speaker:say, nothing really significant ever gets accomplished
Speaker:alone. There's always team and partners and
Speaker:collaborators and experts and so many people that we want to connect with.
Speaker:And that's why I'm so excited about today's guest,
Speaker:because she is absolutely an amazing person to
Speaker:partner with and to connect with. And if
Speaker:you're on that mission to get your heart centered mission out there in
Speaker:the world and make the biggest possible
Speaker:impact you can make, you are definitely in the right place.
Speaker:And you know what we're going to talk about today? We're going to talk about
Speaker:that aspirational goal of getting to six
Speaker:figures and beyond in your business
Speaker:and whether or not you actually want to get there and everything
Speaker:you need to do or be in order
Speaker:to get to that level in your business. So today,
Speaker:I have Dr. Barnsley Brown with me today. She's a kick ass
Speaker:coach and business maven and just an all around
Speaker:cool human to be spending some time with today. So,
Speaker:Barnsley, welcome to the show. Thank you, Chuck. I've been really
Speaker:looking forward to, you know, ditto everything you said is true of
Speaker:you, too. Just going to say it. You're such a great
Speaker:person to partner with, and you're such a wealth of information
Speaker:in how to partner with people in ways that really are
Speaker:win win all the way around. So I'm just thrilled that we're here. And,
Speaker:man, you all I hear people saying, I want to be at six figures. I
Speaker:want to be at six figures. Well, today we're going to say, do you really
Speaker:want to be at six figures? Because here's what it takes. This is the no
Speaker:BS version. Everybody ready? Let's do it.
Speaker:Let's dive in. And I think a good place to start is introduce yourself
Speaker:a little bit to our audience. I mean, who is Dr. Barnsley
Speaker:Brown? And then let's dive deep into this.
Speaker:Well, I'm a wild woman. I'm a single mom. I'm a spiritual
Speaker:being here, having an incredibly fun experience
Speaker:sharing what I'm put on this earth to do and making
Speaker:multiple six figures doing it. But it wasn't always that
Speaker:way. And I like to be really real with people, chuck, it took me over
Speaker:a decade to get the six figures in my business, and let me tell
Speaker:you why. I just tell the real deal. I don't hold anything
Speaker:back. And I'll tell you why. Because I didn't
Speaker:invest in a comprehensive program
Speaker:that could actually get me where I wanted to go. I
Speaker:tried to piece together we've all done it. It works for
Speaker:quilts. It doesn't work for business. I tried to
Speaker:piece together bits here, bits there.
Speaker:I tried to do it the cheap way, right? And you
Speaker:all, can I say a bad word? That
Speaker:S-H-I-T does not work. It does not work.
Speaker:You all or let's put it this way, it
Speaker:works, but it'll take you forever. So I am the person
Speaker:now that I needed then. Chuck and I don't
Speaker:want to see other people who are big hearted and have this
Speaker:big dream that's going to bring good, positive energy to
Speaker:the world and that probably is going to save people's lives.
Speaker:I believe we all save people's lives. I believe we all are
Speaker:the answer to someone's prayer.
Speaker:I don't want you to spend so long as I did trying to figure
Speaker:it out. Don't do that. You need to go to people who already
Speaker:know show to get you there and let them
Speaker:make your life easier. Yeah. What was the turning point for you?
Speaker:When was it that you realized that, I'm going down this
Speaker:path, I'm doing it my way, I'm getting some results,
Speaker:but maybe not the results you wanted. What was the turning point for you where
Speaker:you decided to do something different that led you to what you're ultimately
Speaker:doing? Really? I love that question. Actually.
Speaker:I decided I had three amazing people that I really
Speaker:revered. Every single one of them was just a dynamo
Speaker:and two of them were my neighbors. Chuck so they stayed on my butt.
Speaker:They wouldn't let me off the hook. And they enrolled me
Speaker:in Transformational Leadership Trainings that were held
Speaker:here. Actually local, though people came from all over the world. They were held
Speaker:right here in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Can you imagine? So
Speaker:I didn't need to travel. There was no excuse. And I was
Speaker:recently separated. And
Speaker:I needed a change in my life. I was a single
Speaker:mom. I needed a change in my life. I needed support. I knew I
Speaker:needed support. And I did not want to stay in the
Speaker:rain sobbing about what had happened. You know what I mean?
Speaker:Soggy and sobbing, that's no fun.
Speaker:Joy is where it's at, you all. So I enrolled in
Speaker:Transformational Leadership. I remember putting that
Speaker:5000 it was just under $5,000. Chuck I put that thing on my
Speaker:credit card. I just said, okay, I'm putting it on my credit card. I don't
Speaker:know how this is going to happen. And do you know, within three weeks, that
Speaker:credit card was paid off with all the extra business that had
Speaker:come my way. Amazing. Yeah.
Speaker:Magical. Magical. The breakthrough for
Speaker:people is that you haven't gotten where you
Speaker:wanted to go doing what you're doing now. All right.
Speaker:And I didn't. And it is absolutely
Speaker:imperative that you invest in yourself,
Speaker:your personal growth, as we were talking about right before this, Chuck, you got to
Speaker:invest in yourself, because to the extent that you grow yourself, you
Speaker:will be able to grow your business.
Speaker:Otherwise, anything that happens, you'll be knocked off your
Speaker:center. So you really have to have an
Speaker:incredible center, an incredible perseverance. Stick
Speaker:to itness, dogged, like be like a Chihuahua that
Speaker:grabs onto your heel and won't let go. That's what you got to be in
Speaker:business. Relentless. Really.
Speaker:Relentless. That's the best word right there. Relentless. Yeah,
Speaker:absolutely. And never, ever give up. I had a
Speaker:mentor who said very early on is that the only way to
Speaker:fail is to quit. Because there's always a
Speaker:solution to whatever is going on in your business,
Speaker:in your life, whatever it is. There's always a solution. There's
Speaker:always something, just keep moving forward. And my audience
Speaker:hears me say, Keep moving forward all the time. Because
Speaker:that's the mantra that works for me, to keep me moving forward.
Speaker:Because it doesn't matter what level you get to. There's always another
Speaker:challenge to, you know.
Speaker:We always get to up levels. And it was so funny. I was just having
Speaker:an enrollment conversation right before this with someone who's in the
Speaker:UK, who's interested in being in my Make It Happen Mastermind coaching program.
Speaker:And what I was saying to her is, I have six coaches myself. And she's
Speaker:like, you do. And I said, of course I do. Of
Speaker:course I do. Because I would never
Speaker:dare to go out on a field when I don't know something like
Speaker:this is one of the reasons I invested in your program, Chuck, is I didn't
Speaker:know how to do it. I didn't know how to do the affiliate program.
Speaker:I didn't want to do it. The long, slow know, I got you the stuff
Speaker:the next day, you had it to me the next week. That's how I roll.
Speaker:But it comes from knowing
Speaker:that you're not going to get where you want to go with the mindset
Speaker:that brought you where you are now. All right? You have
Speaker:to up level. There's always another level. And we all need coaches. In
Speaker:fact, I would say to everybody here, if you're ever considering business coaching
Speaker:or life coaching or whatever kind of coaching, there's even grief
Speaker:coaching now. There's all sorts of stuff out there. You want to ask that
Speaker:coach, who are your coaches?
Speaker:Or what kind of coaches do you have? Because if they're a coach
Speaker:and they don't have coaches, I'd be very
Speaker:suspicious. Yeah. Any coach that doesn't
Speaker:invest in coaching doesn't really believe in coaching. They're just trying to sell
Speaker:you their services and make money.
Speaker:They're not really on a growth journey.
Speaker:Yeah. You want to learn from people who are also growing. Right, exactly.
Speaker:And people say, Why do you go to so many things? Why do
Speaker:you invest in so many things? And you and I were talking about this. I
Speaker:probably have invested over 30,000 this year. It's been more other
Speaker:years in personal and professional development. And why?
Speaker:Because I'm only useful to the extent that I'm growing and
Speaker:learning. I am only useful to my folks, my tribe, to
Speaker:that extent. So if you're somebody who wants to
Speaker:remain in comfort zone, then just give up on six
Speaker:figures because just be real. Don't even go
Speaker:for it because it's going to get you out of your comfort zone, wouldn't you
Speaker:say, Chuck? You're going to be out of your comfort zone. Oh, for sure. You
Speaker:are going to be out of your comfort zone a lot. If you're not out
Speaker:of your comfort zone right now, then you're probably not growing. You're
Speaker:maintaining. And really this idea of maintaining really
Speaker:is an illusion. You're never really maintaining. You're either
Speaker:moving forward or you're moving backwards.
Speaker:It just might be very gradual, so you might not notice. So it
Speaker:feels like you're in one spot, but you're either going forward or you're going backwards.
Speaker:At least that's how I view it in my business. So
Speaker:we're always looking for like, okay, great, we've got here.
Speaker:Now what's the next level? Where
Speaker:do we push this? Where do we take this? How do we do that with
Speaker:our clients? How do we do that with ourselves? How do we do that with
Speaker:our offerings, all of that. I love everything
Speaker:that you're saying, and before we kind of dive deeper in that,
Speaker:I want to ask you a little bit.
Speaker:Who's the typical person that you work with? How would you
Speaker:describe the mission that they're on and even
Speaker:the struggles that they're going through right now, even the questions that they might
Speaker:be asking themselves and deciding, like, do I
Speaker:go forward or do I not?
Speaker:What are you noticing with the people that you're talking to? Oh, man,
Speaker:that inner dialogue. And I know when I
Speaker:speak in an enrollment conversation and I describe this, I know
Speaker:because I can see it in their eyes. So let me just say,
Speaker:the person I love working with, especially my Make It Happen
Speaker:Mastermind, it is all women in that program. I do have
Speaker:other programs for men, but this is all women in the Make It
Speaker:Happen Mastermind comprehensive coaching program. And
Speaker:what has happened usually, I'll tell you, Chuck, is they have
Speaker:invested in somebody else's program. And I'm going to
Speaker:speak the truth here, somebody who has maybe 902,000,
Speaker:3000 people in their program, and they're charging tons of
Speaker:money for it, maybe over 50K, over sixty k. I
Speaker:recently had somebody over 50K. No results. She got no results
Speaker:because the success
Speaker:rate in those programs is usually about 3%.
Speaker:And I have a success rate, by the way, of 97%.
Speaker:And there's a reason why we can talk about that later.
Speaker:But they have come to me and they're not trusting themselves. And
Speaker:usually it's this I feel stuck. I'm just going to be them for a second.
Speaker:I feel stuck. I invested all this money and it didn't
Speaker:happen. And I don't know. I mean, I'm afraid to invest
Speaker:anything else. I don't even know if I'm doing the right thing. I'm
Speaker:scared I'm going to have to go back to that job that I really
Speaker:hated or I'm going to have to go get the job that I will
Speaker:hate. And I feel like it's now or never.
Speaker:It's now or never, and I don't know how to do it. I feel
Speaker:lost, like I'm just spinning my wheels. This is what they're saying
Speaker:when they get to me. But the saddest thing for me, or the thing that
Speaker:really pulls my heartstrings, let's say that way, is
Speaker:that they're down on themselves, Chuck. And they're
Speaker:down on themselves because they invested in somebody's program that didn't give
Speaker:returns. And so one of the first things I say is, look, you
Speaker:are not to blame, all right? You made an
Speaker:investment. It was one of those programs that really doesn't deliver the results
Speaker:it promises, or maybe it does, but just to a very small
Speaker:percentage, like five out of every 100 people, or
Speaker:even if that 3% is three out of every hundred,
Speaker:to me, that's just deplorable. I couldn't take somebody's money and do
Speaker:that. I'm not willing to. But
Speaker:they're down on themselves. And so what we do is we get a clear
Speaker:picture of where they want to go, and then we break it down. And I
Speaker:have a system that I teach them that allows them to track it
Speaker:and see their progress. And we celebrate, like you
Speaker:said, every step of the way. We celebrate every step of the way
Speaker:because that's how we keep our momentum going, right?
Speaker:Every step. That phone call they made to make an
Speaker:offer, client of mine just I said, make an offer today. Make
Speaker:an offer today. You need to make an offer today. So she called eight people,
Speaker:made an offer that was in $1,000 offer. She's already had one
Speaker:accept it. Right. And this is direct result of
Speaker:just saying, okay, do it today. And I hold people accountable.
Speaker:There are four pillars in my program. They're training, accountability, coaching,
Speaker:and community. And these are the four pillars of success.
Speaker:So I turn those people who think I can't I'm
Speaker:afraid a lot of times, the first time we talk, they're even in
Speaker:tears, Chuck, because somebody took their money and they
Speaker:got shit for it. Yeah.
Speaker:And then they start questioning whether or not
Speaker:they're going to keep going. Are they going to keep doing
Speaker:this? So I can completely understand the tears. In
Speaker:fact, I've been there a couple of times in my career
Speaker:myself. When
Speaker:you get so excited about something and you follow down that path, and
Speaker:then you realize, oh, no, that's not going to
Speaker:work. This isn't giving me this does not
Speaker:have what I like to say is that program did not have the structure you
Speaker:need to create the results that you want
Speaker:fast in the way that you want them. Fast with. I say fast with
Speaker:fun. That's my program. We do it fast with fun. And here's the
Speaker:thing people are living on, this is what I see. And this is why I
Speaker:say, do you really want to make six figures? A lot of people just have
Speaker:hobbies. Chuck, let's be real. At a lot of the women's
Speaker:networking events, I'm going to rail for a second, because I will rail.
Speaker:A lot of the women's networking events. I go in there, and it's a
Speaker:social thing. They're there for socializing, and they have hobby
Speaker:businesses, and they're supported by somebody else, a
Speaker:partner or a husband or somebody sugar
Speaker:daddy, whatever, sugar mama. But they're supported by
Speaker:somebody else, and they have a hobby. And you all I don't work with
Speaker:people who are hobbyists. I work with people who say, okay,
Speaker:I say, I want this dream. I say, I really want it. Ten out of
Speaker:ten, and damn it, I'm going for it. And I'm giving
Speaker:myself first class, comprehensive support, so
Speaker:I ensure that I get there. Those are
Speaker:the people I work with. So I scare the heck out of people who
Speaker:are hobbyists. I do. And that's okay.
Speaker:I'm totally happy to repel those people because
Speaker:they would drive me crazy, and I would drive them crazy.
Speaker:And I think if they're not serious about what they're doing, if they're not on
Speaker:a mission to make an impact or serve
Speaker:in the way that they can use their unique gifts to help
Speaker:people, then they're really on
Speaker:quicksand. There's really no foundation there.
Speaker:And I think you really need to have that vision and that
Speaker:mission and that belief in your unique abilities to
Speaker:really propel you forward. You might not know what you're doing
Speaker:or how you're going to get to where you want to go, but that's where
Speaker:someone like you comes. Yeah. And the way
Speaker:that I coach people is really interesting, Chuck,
Speaker:because I don't want to see them for an hour. I don't want to have
Speaker:you individually with me for an hour session. I give everybody a certain
Speaker:number of minutes individually and tons of minutes group
Speaker:per month. But here's what I say, okay? When you have an issue, just
Speaker:text me. We'll get on. We may only spend five minutes. The other
Speaker:day, nine minute coaching session with a lawyer who's in my
Speaker:program, she was feeling bad because there had been a
Speaker:situation with a client and a lot of things had come up
Speaker:and the estate plan had been delayed. And she was like,
Speaker:yeah, I'm going to just give him a discount, and blah, blah, blah. But I
Speaker:wanted to talk to you first. I said
Speaker:Erin. Sorry. I said her name.
Speaker:All right? No last name or we'll bleep it. No last name. I didn't mean
Speaker:to say that. I said Ernita I said you
Speaker:know, here's the deal. She's amazing, by the way. She knows I
Speaker:love to talk about her. And I said, here's
Speaker:the deal. You just send them a message. Here's exactly what you say.
Speaker:I know that we didn't completely nail down everything with the
Speaker:fees. I was so excited to help you and
Speaker:your wife and I overlooked that. And then we kept
Speaker:having things that came up at different points in the procedure that had to be
Speaker:taken care of. I know you understand that I must keep my
Speaker:fees in relationship to industry standards.
Speaker:Here is the breakdown. And so guess what? And
Speaker:I said, give him a gift. Give him a complimentary consult
Speaker:for him or his wife, whoever passes first, they can come
Speaker:to you. Just give that because you're going to have more business from that. They're
Speaker:going to come use you for probate. And that is a
Speaker:$300 value. And how nice is that for you to give that to them?
Speaker:Give them that. Don't give them a discount, which she did. And guess what?
Speaker:It's working out great and she'll have more business. And she said, oh, my
Speaker:gosh, you just saved me over $1,000 with ten minutes. And I
Speaker:said, Actually, I saved you 1000 and I made you another
Speaker:5000 because you're going to have that person
Speaker:by giving them that complimentary hour,
Speaker:whoever's the surviving spouse is going to come to you because they already
Speaker:trust you and they're going to use you for the whole estate plan probate. Everything
Speaker:else process will probate rather.
Speaker:Yeah. So that's where good coaching, if you have a
Speaker:good coach, they're going to make you money, they're going to save you money. They're
Speaker:going to connect you to other incredible people who
Speaker:have the resources, the information, the expertise that you need,
Speaker:and they're going to make sure you're always moving forward. I provide what I
Speaker:call the GBK, Chuck. It's a very important business acronym.
Speaker:Oh, well, then we just have to know what that
Speaker:GBK? Gentle butt kick.
Speaker:Gentle butt kick. Of course, gentle butt.
Speaker:And on my watch, you are not falling through the cracks
Speaker:like in those other programs. I am determined, and that's why I have the success
Speaker:rate that I have with my clients, because it's an issue for
Speaker:me of integrity. And there are a lot of
Speaker:people out there super happy to take your money and promise
Speaker:a lot, and then they don't
Speaker:deliver. So I would say when we think about
Speaker:collaborations, you and I were talking about this the
Speaker:other day, you got to know the values of the people
Speaker:that you are collaboration with and make sure that their values are
Speaker:your values as well, even down to things like you and I, Chuck.
Speaker:Both we like to work with smaller groups in our webinars and our
Speaker:workshops because we want to go deep with people. We don't
Speaker:want to just give them some cookie cutter. We want them to get what they
Speaker:need and we want them to know that they matter and that they can do
Speaker:this. And that in and of itself, I mean, that is
Speaker:really what my whole business in a nutshell is about. People
Speaker:knowing they matter, they matter and what they're here
Speaker:to give to the world matters. That's it.
Speaker:Yeah. And that's the type of people that we tend to attract as well.
Speaker:I mean, they're not usually people who are just in it for like a gazillion
Speaker:dollars. They're usually someone with
Speaker:they've got a gift, they've got something that they can
Speaker:use to serve and help others. They're not
Speaker:always natural business people. They're just like really good
Speaker:practitioners at what they do and they want to make a difference,
Speaker:but they also want to make a living
Speaker:and maybe a nice living to be able to do
Speaker:it. It's usually not profits
Speaker:first. That is something that we end up having to coach people on. It's
Speaker:like, well, you need to do this but also be profitable because if you're profitable,
Speaker:then you can help more people. But like you said is it doesn't
Speaker:mean that we have to take a program that's for 20 people and
Speaker:make it for 2000 people because then we can't touch lives
Speaker:in a deep and meaningful way anymore. And then they fall through the cracks. And
Speaker:then they fall through the cracks.
Speaker:No, I don't like that and I don't want to do that. And I
Speaker:know you don't either. We really want you to have the results
Speaker:that you say you want. Again, there I'm going to press in on
Speaker:that because there are a lot of people say, well, I'm a ten about
Speaker:my business. I really want to get the six figures. Well, let
Speaker:me tell you all something, all right? Let's just be real.
Speaker:You have got to invest in yourself and your business.
Speaker:And probably it's going to be at least ten to
Speaker:20K every year that you're going to invest with
Speaker:experts, which is going to get you where you want to go fast. All
Speaker:right? Don't do the piece together thing I did. It just doesn't work.
Speaker:But you're going to have to invest that. And I like to say to people
Speaker:when I'm talking to them, if I said to you,
Speaker:Chuck, give me
Speaker:$20, okay, give me $20, just pull it out, give it to me through
Speaker:zoom, I'll give you back $100. Would you do
Speaker:that? Yeah, you give me 20 and I give you 100. I got a
Speaker:crisp $100 bill right here. Did you do it? Yeah, here's 20 right
Speaker:now. Here's 100 back. And that's the same thing.
Speaker:That's the mentality you've got to have with your business. You're investing the
Speaker:20 so you can have the 100 back. All right?
Speaker:And it's a no brainer. It's a no brainer
Speaker:once, but it can be very scary. I mean, when I invested in that
Speaker:first just under $5,000 program, that I told you all
Speaker:about. We have an expression. It's kind of a bad expression
Speaker:in the south, but it's like shitting bricks. I was like, oh, my
Speaker:God, what did I just do? And I'm recently separated,
Speaker:and how am I going to pay that card? And literally just over
Speaker:three weeks later, I had all these new speaking engagements paid. Speaking
Speaker:engagements had come through. Oh, we want to have you back here. And blah, blah,
Speaker:blah, new clients. Everything had
Speaker:conspired. Because guess what? The universe likes commitment.
Speaker:All right? And I'm going to say something. I'm going to say something, and maybe
Speaker:this is going to put some of you out of your comfort zone. I hope
Speaker:so. A good idea doesn't land and
Speaker:stay. A good business doesn't land and
Speaker:stay. If you don't pick it up and do the work necessary,
Speaker:it's going to move to the next person.
Speaker:And do you want somebody really doing the business that
Speaker:was your legacy to leave the world? Do you want somebody else doing that?
Speaker:Because if you're sitting back just hoping and waiting, waiting for
Speaker:this to happen, those are not strategies. They don't work as strategies. Hoping and
Speaker:waiting. Time to get going.
Speaker:Time to get going for sure. Well, let's say somebody
Speaker:is listening in and they're going, wow, everything that you've
Speaker:said here today describes me and my situation,
Speaker:and I'm ready for more.
Speaker:What is the next step in terms of learning from
Speaker:you and working with you? I know you have a free
Speaker:webinar. We're going to link to that beneath the video and in the podcast show.
Speaker:Excited about that one? Yes. So tell the folks
Speaker:what's the best next step from here? Now that they've listened in. And it's like,
Speaker:okay, well, what do I do next? Yeah, what do I do next?
Speaker:And that's such a good question because when you get overwhelmed, just ask
Speaker:yourself, what's the next step? All right. And here's the next step. You all
Speaker:it's super simple. You go to my website.
Speaker:Spiritedsolutions.com
Speaker:S-P-I-R-I-T-E-D.
Speaker:Solutions with an S on it. Don't
Speaker:forget the dash in the middle because you'll get a very boring computer
Speaker:company. Go there and just fill out
Speaker:the little application. It says Application to have a
Speaker:complimentary. Gut results. Now session with Dr.
Speaker:Barnsley valued at $497.
Speaker:And again, it's complimentary.
Speaker:You have to apply. However, it's only eleven minutes. The
Speaker:application, that's your step. That's the one and only thing that
Speaker:you need to do right now. Go right there and I'm going to challenge you.
Speaker:Don't wait till tomorrow because it's not happening. If you are
Speaker:really committed, go do it right. As soon as we finish this broadcast,
Speaker:just get your butt over there. If you're at work, go take
Speaker:your laptop and go into the bathroom stall and do it. Y'all.
Speaker:Don't wait because speed of
Speaker:implementation, taking action is going to
Speaker:carry you so far but if you don't do it, life comes
Speaker:in and you'll forget about it, and then tomorrow will be just the same, and
Speaker:you'll be saying, wow, I would have really wish I had that business so I
Speaker:didn't have to do this job. I don't enjoy
Speaker:to make life really easy for you. If you're watching this on
Speaker:video, the link is just beneath this video. And if
Speaker:you're listening on a podcast, no problem. You just click into the
Speaker:podcast player that you're on right now. Look at the show notes, and the links
Speaker:are all there as well. And I love what you said. I
Speaker:mean, I say this in every episode is when you're
Speaker:inspired, when you're in the right place at the right
Speaker:time. And if you're listening right now,
Speaker:you are in the right place at the right time is take an
Speaker:action step. And it's a very simple action step to take.
Speaker:And you might not know what's in front of you, and it doesn't
Speaker:matter. Take the next step, and the staircase will be
Speaker:revealed. Once you take that step, just like.
Speaker:That Indiana Jones thing that we've all seen, where he gets out
Speaker:on that one rock. He's jumping out, he's like and there's a rock that appears,
Speaker:and then he jumps, and there's another this. But you want to make
Speaker:sure you're on the right rocks, y'all. All right? That's why you need your business
Speaker:coach. And you want to make sure you don't fall through into a
Speaker:chasm. And that's why you want your business coach.
Speaker:I believe that you are here for a reason. I believe
Speaker:you've tuned in right now because you've been drawn here.
Speaker:I do believe that, you know, Chuck, I believe matter is energy.
Speaker:We're all energy. That is physics. But you've
Speaker:somehow been drawn here. Something nudged you to be here, and
Speaker:there's a reason for that. So I'll even forgive you if you just cut us
Speaker:off and go do your application now. And then from there,
Speaker:I'll have my VA be in touch, and we'll set up your session.
Speaker:Don't spend another day putting this off.
Speaker:It's so sad to me. Most people are like, someday I will.
Speaker:They live on. Someday I Will Island.
Speaker:And it's a sad island in the Bermuda Triangle.
Speaker:Yeah, today's the day. Today is the day, and you're in the right place at
Speaker:the right time. So go and do that now
Speaker:and find out what is possible for
Speaker:you and by people who believe
Speaker:in the possibilities, that's
Speaker:really what you want to align yourself with, partner yourself with,
Speaker:and you want to go to the next level. We can't do it alone.
Speaker:There's no such thing as a solopreneur. That's a term that
Speaker:people make up to justify being alone.
Speaker:And nobody is a solopreneur. That's
Speaker:true. And the lone wolf school of business doesn't
Speaker:work, I like to say. What happens to lone wolves? They get
Speaker:eaten. Don't get eaten. We all. Need
Speaker:community around us, and we all need other people who know
Speaker:things better than we do, right? Certain things.
Speaker:I am not a tech wizard, though. I love what tech can do. So I
Speaker:need people who understand that I need that wizardry
Speaker:around me. Otherwise, I'll spend so much time
Speaker:I could just be spending doing what I'm here to do,
Speaker:trying to figure out something I'm not good at. So stop that, you
Speaker:all. Do we have time for the quick little formula?
Speaker:Chuck yeah, let's do that. And then we will bring it home.
Speaker:All right, let's bring it home. This is Dr Barnsley's.
Speaker:Hbdo Formula. And I know it sounds like it's a pharmaceutical.
Speaker:It's not. But that is hire.
Speaker:H-I-R-E hire. Barter. Delegate.
Speaker:Omit. This is what you want to think about
Speaker:in your business. Hire. Get the people
Speaker:who know how to get you where you're going, because they've gotten there. And make
Speaker:sure you make sure that they have gotten there. Right. Okay. And
Speaker:make sure you know that they've gotten other people there. Not just
Speaker:3%. That's higher. Barter.
Speaker:Don't tell me you don't have money. There are always ways to barter. I say
Speaker:creative, a barter bliss. List the things you want to barter for. Like when I
Speaker:started my business, I bartered for childcare, I bartered for
Speaker:landscaping. I bartered for a lot of stuff.
Speaker:You're still supposed to report it on your taxes. You all okay. Just
Speaker:saying that's. Barter. And it's great because it gives people a
Speaker:sample of what you do so they can become your raving fans and your
Speaker:salesforce. Then you've got delegate. Delegate.
Speaker:But do it in a smart way, which means you train up people
Speaker:at the front end so that you save time after that. If you
Speaker:don't train them up, you're going to have to backtrack and clean up a bunch
Speaker:of messes. And then finally, omit is my favorite. I like to say it
Speaker:in Spanish, olvedar, because it sounds so good. Olvidar means forget
Speaker:about it. There's a lot of stuff you're doing you don't even need to be
Speaker:doing. So stop. Just stop. Omit it.
Speaker:I don't care that you've responded to all your emails. In fact, I don't
Speaker:even want you on email except half an hour in the morning. Half an hour
Speaker:in the afternoon. You're wasting time there. You're doing stuff
Speaker:that's busy work and not revenue generating. Omit,
Speaker:the stuff that doesn't create results. So that's Dr. Barnsley's
Speaker:hbdo formula and use
Speaker:amazing. Amazing. Well, we're going to put all of that down in the show
Speaker:notes beneath this video and in the podcast show notes, we've have the
Speaker:links to your website and your webinar and where they can book a
Speaker:call with you. And this has just been amazing.
Speaker:Now, just before we bring this episode in for a
Speaker:landing, I just want to ask you one question.
Speaker:It's become almost a social experiment because I started asking
Speaker:this question originally because it sounded like a good one to
Speaker:ask, and then I have just been fascinated by
Speaker:the answer. And see, I believe that our businesses
Speaker:only grow to the extent that we do, and a big part of that
Speaker:has been the books. I have some of them here that's not even all of
Speaker:them. Those are just the ones that make my bookshelf look good.
Speaker:But I have boxes and boxes and boxes of books and now
Speaker:audiobooks and digital books and everything.
Speaker:What would you consider to be the go to, must
Speaker:read book that anyone on this journey should
Speaker:read next? One book. Just
Speaker:one? I know you probably have a big pile of books,
Speaker:too. I gave 14 big boxes of books to
Speaker:a local university. Chuck my house was,
Speaker:like, filled with it's still lots of books, right?
Speaker:My daughter was you know,
Speaker:I'm just going to say that one of my favorite books of all time
Speaker:and it applies to your life, it applies to your business is The
Speaker:Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Speaker:I adore that book. There's also The Four
Speaker:Agreements at work, but I'll tell you, I don't like that one.
Speaker:The plain old The Four Agreements. It's such a good
Speaker:book. It's such a good way to live your life. When you understand The
Speaker:Four Agreements and you bring those into your business and your
Speaker:personal life, then you are just not going to have the problems
Speaker:that you would otherwise have. Or if you have
Speaker:a problem that comes up, a challenge that comes up, you're going to know how
Speaker:to deal with it. So it's one of my favorites, one of my all
Speaker:time favorites. Probably if I had to choose just one
Speaker:book to kind of live my life by, other than,
Speaker:say, spiritual books like the Bible or
Speaker:the Bhagavig Gita, I would choose The Four
Speaker:Agreements. Yeah. Four agreements. I mean, that's inspired me to maybe go back and read
Speaker:it because I love it, because
Speaker:the simplicity. But also it's not that easy
Speaker:to implement, right? And so that's why you need a book
Speaker:like that. But it's just amazing when you
Speaker:start living those as principles in your life,
Speaker:the difference that it makes. And the biggest one, I believe, is my word
Speaker:is law. My word is law. My word is law. When
Speaker:I give my word, I turn myself inside out
Speaker:to deliver my word is law. And imagine
Speaker:living your life from there. My word is law. If I say I'm
Speaker:going to do it, I'm going to do it. And that is
Speaker:going to make your life so much easier, because then you don't have
Speaker:to go clean up all the crap that you promised and didn't do
Speaker:to yourself and others, right? So if we say we're going to go for a
Speaker:walk, go for the walk. If we say we're going to
Speaker:generate $5,000 of income this week, do it
Speaker:come from that place. My word is law. There's no wiggling out
Speaker:of that. Hold it and stand there. And that makes you such
Speaker:a powerful human being and a leader for yourself and
Speaker:others. And everybody here is a leader, Chuck, or they wouldn't be tuning
Speaker:into your podcast. Absolutely. Well,
Speaker:my word is law. I think those are beautiful words to end this episode
Speaker:by. And I didn't even have to ask for the words of wisdom. They just
Speaker:came pouring out of you. And I think that's what all you
Speaker:all can expect from
Speaker:connecting with Dr. Barnsley Brown. And that's why I'm so excited to
Speaker:have had her as my guest on this show. Make
Speaker:sure that this was time well spent. Take action. We've got the links
Speaker:right beneath this video and in the podcast show notes.
Speaker:And in the meantime, never, ever give up on your big dream,
Speaker:your mission, your vision, the unique abilities that you have
Speaker:that can help make the world a better place and ultimately
Speaker:keep moving forward. And in the meantime, we will see you on the next one.
Speaker:Thank you, everybody.
