I’m so excited to speak with mom, actress and director, Marla Sokoloff! She has played rolls in many of our favorite shows from Full and Fuller House, The Practice, Hot in Cleveland, Greys Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and many more!
Listen in as we talk about her struggles in her motherhood journey, and how hard it can be to be honest and open about those struggles in the public eye. We talk about her having to face almost losing her husband because of an emergency health crisis, her parenting, and so much more!
About Marla Sokoloff:
Born and raised in San Francisco, Marla Sokoloff moved to Los Angeles in 1994 and enrolled in the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts, where she studied theater and music. She won numerous awards and accolades for her singing, performing the national anthem at such high profile events as the Oakland A's baseball games and for the USO. Soon after moving to Los Angeles, Marla began landing roles on several popular television series including playing Lucy Hatcher on the legal drama television series The Practice, and Gia Mahan on Full House and Fuller House, Home Improvement, Party of Five, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and 7th Heaven. On the big screen, she has appeared in the films The Baby-Sitters Club, True Crime, and Whatever It Takes Dude, Where's My Car? , Sugar & Spice and Love on the Side.
Marla is a mom to two girls, Elliotte and Olive and wife to musician Alec Puro.
