About our Guest:
She is originally from River Falls, Wisconsin, Carol has been drawing and painting from a very young age. She attended UW-RF and graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Since moving to South Texas in 2005, she has become enamored of the Texas coast, and though she had never been especially interested in landscape art, she realized the water and land had a lot to say to her. That dialogue between Carol and coastal Texas has become deeper and deeper.
She is constantly striving to find the balance between the high art image and a broader accessible one. She has developed a direction that engages people from all walks of life to enjoy her paintings. Carol primarily exhibits her paintings in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, including the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, Harlingen Museum of Arts and Heritage, Beyond Gallery, Titan Studio, Galeria 409, Brownsville Historic Museum and the McAllen Public Library.
