The love hate relationship with exercise have always grown up chasing a ball around a Laura park or a pitch or anywhere really, there's where there's a game, right. And that's how I got my motivation. It was really from just not wanting to let people down. That was easy. It's also a pretty unhealthy pattern that was playing out because it wasn't doing it for me I was doing it to to feel enough to feel worthy. So there have been times where I've got to exercise when there's no sport on actually there have been times where I've continued to play sport and I've been doing it for the wrong reasons to keep fit. But I've been running heaps lately. And and honestly running sucks. But, but it doesn't at the same time. So hence the love hate relationship. The more you do it, the less this happens. But it's often the case that you the first 500 meters I'm left wondering why do I do this, particularly for an interfund loan, we really push yourself hard. And you just see like what I put myself through this can push through the physical pain. And then the mind games that sometimes you just want to walk or you want to quit or maybe it just gets a little bit too hard. But like I said, I also love it. I love the challenge. Love the euphoria that you get from a runner's high, or from any exercise really. And I love the mental and emotional processing it allows me to do that's probably the most powerful thing, it really cleanses my mind and helps me to process things in a real present state. I love how it looks helps me look and feel so physically. And I love the fitness it provides for the more important physical activities in my life, like spending time with my family and with my wife. I love the competition that I can have with myself. Feeling the improvement, feeling the increase in strength and speed. Seen the reduction of my times. Now I did a podcast recently about not making it about the competition. And and honestly when I sit out there now I don't run to try and beat the time I just run to the point where I know I'm pushing myself. And it's amazing the shift in mindset where you're not like you don't have to beat the time, but instead just okay, well, it's gonna get better over time, the more I do it, the more times I've been improving. So at a pleasant surprise, a couple of days ago, I ran my best time for one of my 5k circuits that I run. And I was reminded that sometimes your best performances come when your preparation is not what you'd consider best practice, shall we say? Done a hate work on my nutrition and a lot of those be the dirt and dirt unnecessary necessity where I've actually needed to change my diet because of the impact that was having for me in terms of my digestion and all sorts of other elements heartburn. And the night before this run, I didn't really stick to that plan. So I was catching up with a client and you'll be listening to this which is cool. And because I know he listens he's probably the person who's listened to every episode. We're mostly vegetarian these days. So there's not usually a heap of options but and and try and stay Be clear of bread and gluten and all those sorts of things not because I'm a celiac, but just because that gluten intolerance to those 1010 things tend to impact me the next day. So I had a pizza, because it was one of the few things I could actually have without a little pasta, and had a few beers and nothing crazy few minutes, drink beers. And then the next day, I was actually expecting to feel like crap when I ran. But it didn't actually look I say later, one of the best times and it was a great reminder that it came to me as I was running. When it comes to having energy, personal flow trumps all of these things. Now when I say that, if you continue to put crap food into your body, if I continue D, that sort of stuff, then this wouldn't be the case. But the energy I get from as an extrovert from connecting with people just gives me so much for the whole week. So my my extrovert levels are off the charts, right? Like, like you're talking about on the spectrum, or gone way, way off the spectrum. So nothing feels me more than conversation and connecting with people. And it always, always gives me my best performance, not just physically in every area of my life. So the challenge for you is to find out what your personal flow is. So you can guarantee the improvements in your life. Is it from Creative? Is it from innovating? Is it from more introverted towards sort of activities, tasks? Is it adventure? Is it relaxing? It's actually one of the first tasks that I give my clients as a particular tool that I use, which helps them get really clear on that. It's one of the best personal personality tools. Obviously, personality tools that I've come across him on other tapes out there, because it helps you tap into your personal flow was a game changer for me when I discovered this. And actually, when I discovered it, I made a commitment, I was going to be consulted in it, because I thought it was so good. And took all my staff at Fox Sports through it at the time. Nice little bonus, my boss got wind of it. And when he heard that I'd pay for out of my own pocket. He he said he would pay for the training and the and the reports. So that was awesome. Plus, it's one of the benefits of when you get in a flow, these sort of things tend to happen. So the tool that I use is town that talent dynamics, there's a few of them out there like that, that are personal flow tools. There's one called ignition, who a good friend of mine is the founder of is another one which the name escapes me. But yeah, finding your flow. absolute game changer because then you can have more of that energy, you can find more of your flow be in the zone far more often. It's awesome. Oh, yeah. And if you want it'll taste it at that I'll be I'll be talking that about that in my new training. I think I might have said in the end of the year that um, I don't know if I said I wouldn't be doing free training. But as always, things change and I've created this new training that I've been called to offer for free. Now I'm not going to hide from the fact that the people who will can complete that training, some of them will then work with me, so I'm not going to hide from that. But the option is there if you if you come in, you'll get heaps of value out of it, you'll get you'll get heaps of value even if you do no more work with me. So I will let you know more about that in coming episodes. Speak to you soon.
