Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about the concept of “telling it like it is”.
I got to thinking about this because people often say that one of the reasons they like to work with me is that they view me as someone who “Tells It Like It Is”.
While I understand what they mean, I think the more accurate description is that, “I tell it like I am.”
It would behoove us all to remember that we don’t actually see everything how IT really is - but more so, we see it as WE are.
That means our perceptions and interpretations are shaped not only by our brain, but also by our thoughts, our feelings, our previous experiences, our identity and our past history. This is why A Course in Miracles says, “Projection Makes Perception”.
And if how we “see” the world is affected by our brains and our minds, then it’s wicked important which lens we’re looking through and which teacher we’re choosing to look at it with: Spirit/Love or Ego/Fear.
When we look at the world via Ego/Fear, we must recognize that we may be choosing to see ourselves, another person, or our circumstance through an extremely limited point of view or distorted lens.
It’s through a DSP (Daily Spiritual Practice) that we’re able to get in touch with the expansive part of our mind that is always in communion with the Divine.
The part of our mind that repeatedly returns to the memory of Love/Source and has access to our Inner Teacher, Infinite Intelligence, and dwells in the space where limitless possibility lives.
When we work on transforming who we are from the inside out, we shift the teacher we choose, the lens we use, and the way we see.
Over time we learn to look for and “Teach Only Love”, for that is who we really are.
