Hope for Women’s Health, Colour in White Spaces, Take Control Woman, and Dropping the Drink

My first guest brings hope in the form of a new test to detect early Ovarian and Uterine cancers. Dr. Lucy Gilbert is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at McGill University. She and her team have recently developed an innovative genomic uterine pap-test and joins me to share the exciting details ahead of World Ovarian Cancer Day on May 8th. Tanya Hayles brings hope to her online global village of over 20,000 women, called Black Moms Connection. Tanya’s non-profit provides culturally relevant programs and resources to educate and empower the Black mother and her family. Anne Brodie has an exclusive interview today with Ottawa native, Kari Skloglund, who also happens to be the executive producer and director of Disney+ smash hit, The Falcon and the Winter solider.
