From the early days of the pandemic, one thing was crystal clear; women and marginalized communities were being disproportionately affected. It was disheartening to see the loss of income, education, and advancement. But there was a bright spot, because women did what women do best - they pulled together, they got loud, and they demanded change. Support and advocacy groups popped up, feminism had fresh life pumped into it, and words like diversity, equity, and inclusion became part of our daily lexicon. Some women, like my two featured guests in this podcast, turned their advocacy into businesses. Allison Venditti from Moms at Work and Janelle Benjamin from All Things Equitable are leading the charge into our post-pandemic recovery and are joining me today to share their journeys and struggles. Joining me from RBC to share insights and advice are Erin Closs, VP of Commercial Banking and Erin Rennie-Aubuchon, Manager Business Markets.
