We talked to Alura, the heaviest showcase band we could find at the G2 Active Rock Gathering in Las Vegas, Nevada this past September. Alura is a hard rock/nu-metal band from the city of sin itself, Las Vegas. Their self-titled release is out now via Bandcamp.
The name "Alura" derives from the 1940s comedy "She Wouldn't Say Yes." It was the name of a woman who was both a sociopath and a temptress who could not keep men from pursuing her. The group decided this name was a perfect representation of the alluring sound of the music being created.
