Edited to add from my first review over 2 years ago(!!): CJ is the very first podcast I started listening to that got me into true crime, and I will probably always listen 💜 that being said though, honest criticism- I do think the podcast has gone downhill a bit. Someone else mentioned that this most likely is because Ashley and her team are now managing so many other projects and podcasts which is awesome to expand, but I feel it has decreased the quality of this podcast that used to be unmatchable. I do wish too that Brit was able to contribute a bit more to the episodes, I feel like in the beginning, I remember her investigating parts of each story more and adding in what she found and thought, too.
So I know this podcast has been out for a couple years now, but I just recently stumbled upon it a few days ago while driving back on a short road trip and needed something to listen to- and I found this! So glad I did. I really appreciate all the details that go into each case’s story, and the fact that it IS told like a true story and laid out as best as possible, how the events happened. I also love that Ashley reminds listeners frequently that although we all love getting our crime fix, these are REAL people that suffered horrible fates- so important to respect all those involved and be sensitive to each case. Listening from AZ, and I truly like to think that the more people who listen all around the country- (word of mouth has always been one of the best ways to put things in action, right?) we are all helping mayyybe just a little bit in hopefully solving some of these cold cases. All it takes is someone to think back and be reminded of the smallest detail that may help! 🔦🔎
