Makes the day go by
THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING PODCAST every time my husband and I go on any trip together we get so involved in this podcast. I also listen to it while I am at work and now I have my own if I go missing and so does my husband. It has made light to many thing that I didn't even think to take in to consideration. I hope it really does make a difference and cases that go unsolved become solved due to you spreading the word please keep doing what your doing ! @Greasergirl1972

💕This is amazing 💕
my older sister started listening to this and then I listened to it and I can’t stop when I go to bed at night. I listen to it and it is so amazing and very detailed. I love this podcast.

Annoying
I tried to like this but Ashley’s opinions are annoying.

Idk anymore 😞
I have been faithfully listening to this pod for years. I have listened to every single episode up until the start of this year… now I listen occasionally. Something is definitely different. Everything is unsolved. We NEVER get to know “who done it” and it just gets old 🤷🏼‍♀️ also the freakings ads. They have got to be making a fortune 🫠

I am confused
I have been a fan of Crime Junkie from the beginning however I am confused about the latest episodes. It seems the focus has shifted from solved murders to missing and unsolved cases but that is the same thing as The Deck podcast. Hopefully they will go back to the original format that made the podcast such a success.

Very thorough & respectful— haters gunna hate
Been listening to several years along with many highly regarded true crime podcasts, acc to Reddit :) (I’m NOT a fan of comedy true crime, banter between two hosts about random things throughout an episode, the cliche true crime podcast these days, etc). Ashley and Brit nail it perfectly and so so carefully. They’re extremely thorough and tedious with research and citing their sources (I know about the citation controversy in past, along with so many other podcasts doing the exact same, and props to cj for doing what they needed to do to fix it). Ashley and Brit’s chemistry is also better than ever— what I really thought shows through in their research and episodes is how legitimately interested and passionate about crime they’ve always been, e.g., Ashley keeping a journal of license plate tag numbers as a kid in case they were criminals and esp esp her work with crime stoppers long before this podcast. Even though cj is their own thing, they’re slightly comparable to me to true crime garage— they haven’t sold themselves to a corporate company, are extremely passionate and respectful, and give a really detailed and interesting description/explanation. Re: reviews about the unsolved cases— they’re trying to make a difference in cases; that’s their ultimate goal, and with as many listeners as they have, if they were truly passionate and committed to what should be the goal of true crime podcasts, why wouldn’t they talk about unsolved cases? I get that it can feel unsatisfying to listeners, but I can’t even imagine how a case being unsolved is to victims’ family members. I don’t write reviews much whatsoever (i.e., I’m not a serial ranter!), but these recent negative reviews were not a good representation of the show at all. But haters gon’ hate. My rant is over but hope it is a little helpful to someone :).

Brit
Brit inputs way too much Ashley would just be starting the episode and Brit already asking questions fall back a little

Co-Host
Tried this podcast but the co-host and her scripted lines are too annoying.

I love you guys!
You are the first pod cast I have ever listened too! I love love love you guys it always makes my day when I see a new episode! Especially when I hear ‘and I’m Brit’ a few years ago when Brit wasn’t in the episodes due to medical issues was so sad. I’m so glad she’s back! I can relate to you guys so much!

Would be better if…
Would be better without this Brit person chiming in. Not even sure what to call this/that? Maybe this/that is here/there because them/they got a thing??

Always impressed
I’m a Vermonter so I stumbled into Crime Junkie when I found Dark Down East. I’m also watching Presumed Innocent on Apple +Tv. Congratulations on the nod to the international true crime community enough to make reference to the Crime Junkie community on a fictional show. Clearly your show is making enough waves to be referenced on an internationally known fictional platform showing your clout. Props to you and Brit. Keep doing what you do, and maybe Maura Murray and others awaiting justice will finally be have answers.

I love you guys!❤️❤️
Brit and Ashley, you guys are such an inspiration! I’m so astonished that you manage to handle daily life while doing so much research on these cases! Brit, this podcast wouldn’t be complete without you! You guys are so amazing and I love how much of a connection you have with one another! I feel like what you say is very important and little by little, you’re keeping so many people more wary and safe of their surroundings! My heart goes out to the crew who made this podcast possible! I have a pruppet of my own and she and I lay together and listen to you tell these stories of real people going through real things. I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose someone close, to a crime. What you do is so so important and meaningful to the families of these victims. My heart also goes out to the families and friends of the victims and I hope that every single person in or out of this podcast gets closure. Ashley and Brit, you helped me through some dark times and I wouldn’t be the same without you! Thank you so much to everyone that makes this podcast possible! And thank you Chuck for giving my dog something to listen to at the end! Love you all!❤️❤️

Annoyed
All the case notes say “if you have info about this murder call ….” Where are the interesting SOLVED cases? I can’t believe this podcast is still around, it tells nothing and all the host can say is “it’s not in my source material.” We know, you have no info - you’re just talking to talk.

STILL 5 STARS
Have loved this podcast for years and I so appreciate all the work that Ashley and Brit and their behind-the-scenes team put in. I have been beyond impressed with how they have grown their brand; it’s so admirable in addition to the time, energy, and funds to those in need of help solving cases. Lastly— thank you for freesummer in the app! Some day I will be able to join at cost, but as a mom of 5, money to spend on myself is pretty much nonexistent. Some day though, I will be honored to pay because the app is amazing, the show is incredible, and just wow. Love love love. And can there be more than 5 stars?

Hey I’m from Gainesville!
I am from Gainesville. Born and raised. We all know who killed Elaine. It wasn’t a trucker. It wasn’t random. This was not a crime of opportunity. Yall should take a deeper look into this one.

Brit is essential
And stop using the podcast to promote Ashley. She is fabulous but as a crime junkie i tune n for for her and Brit. Also her book was not good like she claimed. Better than I could I write. But can we stick to crime junkie and not a money grab.

🫶🏻
Been listening to this podcast since 2022 ..I love Ashely’s and Brit voice. I always listen to them at work , just that I wish the episodes were longer tho lol . Not a fan of the commercials tho

Obnoxious
I started listening to this podcast and I loved it. Then I branched out to other podcasts and realized how scripted and irritating this podcast can be. The valley girl voice along with Britts voice drives me nuts. Definitely a lot better podcasts out there.

Not Good Anymore
I used to LOVE crime junkie, but it’s just not the same anymore. Ashley gets defensive about minuscule things, towards Brit, and even sometimes towards her own fans…it takes away from the plots of the stories. Also, it’s diva behavior, and we’re just not fans of that.

Used to be great
But the refresh or whatever it is, with episodes categorized as “mysterious” or “missing” etc., and so many unsolved cases now…it’s lost its luster.

Best true crime podcast ever 🥰
I love true crime and Brit and Ashely are the best hostesses ever they make listening to the this podcast so enjoyable and I love listening to this all cozy in a blanket and sipping on a cup of tea on a rainy day but anyway I love this podcast keep the good work 😋

A few thoughts
•y’all are getting lazy!! Going for unsolved stories when I’m sure no one wants to research solved stories! If I wanted to her unsolved cases I’ll listen to the deck •Why is Brit talking so much lately. Her input isn’t needed as much. I like more when she was more reserved with her opinions or just gone

To much banter between hosts
To much banter between the host. Used to love this show. Need less opinions about what the host think. And stick with the facts

Painful
I had given up on this podcast a year ago but thought maybe it had improved….nope still painful to listen to. If you want to listen to two white girls on their soapbox this shows for you. If you want an actual true crime podcast check out morbid, going west, serialously-those are so much better.

Top notch
I’m really picky about podcasts. This is a must listen to!! Amazing!

Used to love
I used to love this pod and was a pattern subscriber for years but lately it feels like the storytelling has gotten rote, emotionless, and overly scripted. They also rarely cover solved cases anymore. I can appreciate the effort to bring attention to unsolved cases but they have other podcasts that focus on this so it’s frustrating to rarely hear about solved cases on the classic CJ☹️

To much chatter, all over the place
I checked them out since they show up #1 on crime podcast but I couldn't listen to them. There is no flow the story is told in a choppy way. And with the voices sounding frantic at times, not for me. I recommended Rotten Mango if you feel the same as me and you are looking for a unique crime podcast. Nothing personal just my opinion!

Paul & Karla
Brit - So she was just sitting around outside at 2:30 in the morning like every normal 14 year old does? That statement was so odd and gross! You lost me with that.

True crime junkies
Love this show for the in-depth look at cases and the chemistry between Brit and Ashley! They’re both great storytellers.
