On this Episode (26) of GOLD SHIELDS, Dan and Tom had the pleasure and privilege of interviewing one of the leading experts in the field of Sex and Human Trafficking, Retired Detective Heidi Chance.  Heidi’s experience reaches so many levels when it comes to this horrible world of Trafficking. Heidi talks about her career, and the Police family that she grew up in, as well as the one event while she was a School Resource Officer that changed her career and propelled her into the criminal element of Trafficking. She will then explain the complexity of these crimes, and her role as an Undercover Detective finding, identifying and arresting these individuals responsible for so much pain and trauma in children’s lives. Heidi details the one, of many cases, that was important to her. The case involved so many victims and the perpetrator that Heidi sent to prison for an incredible amount of time. Heidi’s career and mission didn't stop when she retired, but was sent in another direction of awareness, education and training of Law Enforcement Departments and Agencies throughout the United States.
