GOLD SHIELDS EPISODE 9; RETIRED DETECTIVE TOM MCHALE AND THE 1972 ASSASSINATION OF TWO NYPD POLICE OFFICERS

On this episode of GOLD SHIELDS Dan and Tom interview Retired Detective Tom McHale who was assigned to the elite NYPD Major Case Squad as a Port Authority Police Department Detective. While assigned to Major Case, Tom investigated the case involving the 1972 assassination of two NYPD Police Officers, Police Officer Gregory Foster and Police Officer Rocco Laurie. These brave Officers were assassinated in cold blood by members of the BLA, and Tom will dive into this complex investigation during this interview. Tom will show how complicated a case like this can be, but also show the dedication and focus it takes to run an investigation of this importance 51 years later. The assassination of these Officers is still felt in the NYPD, and Tom did all of us proud with his performance during this case.
