Lightning Strike, Arresting Armed Poachers. Wildlife Cops. Insider's view on one of the most dangerous and least understood forms of Law Enforcement, Wildlife Conservation Officers. His brushes with death and more.
From apprehending five migrants engaged in deer poaching to surviving a lightning strike while patrolling a state game area for litter and land abuse, he offers a glimpse into the astonishing and often perilous situations faced by conservation officers in the line of duty.
John sheds light on the daily realities and perils encountered by Wildlife Officers, commonly known as Game Wardens. These dedicated individuals serve as law enforcement officers in charge of enforcing fishing and hunting regulations. It has been posited that the role of a game warden is one of the most hazardous and lethal occupations within law enforcement. Nevertheless, there has been limited research dedicated to the examination of game warden fatalities.
He also wrote two books about the many cases he has worked, "Nature 911: The Path" and "Wildlife 911: On Patrol. Through the eyes of John Borkovich. Both books, and much more can be found online at his website wildlife911officer.com.
