Detective Dan Brite was shot by a heavily armed and suicidal man on a SWAT call out. The high power rifle round entered through the side of his vest, causing catastrophic, life threatening injuries. He died twice during emergency treatment, the trauma medical team brought him back from death. Dan was left paralyzed from the waist down. Dan talks about the incident, the struggle to survive and recover and why he feels it is so important to continue to serve the Law Enforcement and First Responder family.
