The alarm bells were going off... I didn't feel like I could tell anyone. Every time the effects of the trauma came up, I put them away until I could deal with them better. Sexually Assaulted As A Young Teen, She Not Only Survived, She Prospered.

Cat Corchado is our guest. She is retired from the US Air Force, after serving for 20 years. Cat is also a podcaster, she works to help veterans and is a personal trainer in NC. She was a dependent in a Military family, while the family was deployed in Germany, as a young teenager she was sexually assaulted by someone that the family knew. Cat talks about the assault, her life afterwards and her refusal to allow the effects of the trauma to dictate the quality of her life. She also discusses how she handled the trauma after until she was able to seek help on her terms. After retiring from the US Military, Cat dedicates her life to helping others, including her work with WOVEN and her podcast.
