Laurie White, a constable with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, was shot in the line of duty, Laurie had to have her right leg amputated below the knee.
She shares about being shot by a pedophile which resulted in the amputation of her right leg. Laurie talks about her physical, emotional, and psychological injuries while struggling to resume her life and returning to full duty with the R.C.M.P. She tells her inspiring story as a first responder with post-traumatic stress disorder, and as a single parent. Laurie's struggle with loss, grief, and trauma are inspiring. All of which led to her book "10-33: An Officer Down Steps Back Up".
