Retired Broward County Sheriff's Sergeant Glenn Topping joins us on the Law Enforcement Today Radio Show and Podcast. He started his law enforcement career as a Military Police Officer in the US Army. After leaving the Army he became a police officer in South Florida and was a decorated deputy sheriff sergeant in Broward County.

From his experience investigating the killing of one of his subordinate deputies, to other line-of-duty law enforcement officer deaths. Plus being a Hostage Negotiator for the Sheriff's office, he talks about the difficulties and the truth of his law enforcement experience. He also talks about being featured on the television show COPS.

Glenn is also an accomplished author of several books, the most recent is "Look, a Quarter: A Young Boy's Pursuit of a Dream". Which chronicles his life growing up and dealing with the good and bad. Life-and-death situations changed his life forever dealing with the loss of family, friends, colleagues, and coworkers, many to gun violence, and ending with a loving family. Glenn's first novel is called "The Hurt". It follows Glenn's story dealing with the drive-by shooting homicide of a friend from a club they worked at in South Florida in the early '80s.
