Retired Law Enforcement Officer and author Keith Knotek is our guest. He talks about his career and discusses the details of a shooting incident that he was involved in. His partner, Deputy Randy Jennings was killed in the shooting by the suspect. Keith talks about the immediate effects and how his life began to spiral out of control. Post Trauma, feelings of survivors guilt, nightmares and more. He also discusses how he found recovery afterwards and how that inspired him to write books.

Medical reports state that he died three times during treatment. Keith talks about how his experience motivated him to write the book, "Gunrunner The Mario Olivera Story".

And Keith discusses how his trauma experience and the devastating effects led him to recovery and writing the book "From Sorrow to Amazing Grace: One Cop's Journey". The book has been made into an award winning movie called "One Cop's Journey".
