Robin Wallace is a medically retired Jacksonville, NC Police Officer. During a routine arrest, that involved physical resisting from the suspect she and her partner were injured. While her partner appeared to recover normally, it became apparent that one of her arms suffered significant injuries. Robin talks about how delays and bureaucratic procedures led to delays in her medical care, which led to surgery and limited use of her arm. She discusses the end of the career that she loved, the difficulties she faced from the City government and her forced transition into opening her own business. Robin also discloses the shocking practices placed by the government, that she must endure to keep her police pension.
Robin is now the owner - operator of a food truck business and she talks about the tremendous support she receives from her community.
