Spencer Ware: Building Community Support for a Cause

Today Spencer Ware shares how football connected him to other high performers and how he utilizes his network to offer support to the sickle cell community. Listen in as Jen and Spencer discuss the important lessons Spencer learned through football, the importance of focusing on routines and regimens, and how he is working to educate and impact the athletics industry about sickle cell disease.

Spencer Ware is a running back who played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU) and was drafted in the 6th round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, who went onto win a Super Bowl Championship that year. Spencer then went on to play for multiple other teams including the Kansas City Chiefs (twice) where he won a second Super Bowl in 2019. Spencer is also the founder of the Sickle Cell aWAREness Foundation and the founder of the clothing line, Yes Lawd.
