Growing up outside of Philly in a community filled with Italian influences, Mike witnessed a lot of brokenness, including issues with alcohol, drugs, anxiety, depression, and even suicide. However, he noticed a common thread among people's behavior - the stories they told themselves.
Mike realized that people often justified their actions by narrating a story that supported their behavior. He saw the power of storytelling and believed that by changing the narrative, one could change their life. He wasn't afraid to call out his own family members when he felt they were buying into their own self-limiting stories, even though it caused some resentment.
From an early age, Mike understood the importance of his environment and how it affected his own trajectory. He realized that keeping his environment clean and surrounding himself with positive influences was crucial for his personal growth, even if it meant distancing himself from close people. This mindset and approach may seem harsh to some, but it helped Mike thrive and shape his identity.
After dropping out of college and exploring the restaurant business, Mike eventually found his way into sales and then real estate. However, he always had an entrepreneurial spirit, starting his own businesses and recently resigning from the mortgage business to focus on his brand, the C-Roc empire.
The C-Rock Brand represents Mike's identity and serves as a platform for his podcast, "What Are You Made Of?" Mike is a firm believer in becoming known globally and helping other celebrities in their respective industries. He emphasizes the power of podcasting and has been a guest on over 500 podcasts, leveraging the medium to spread his message and help others.
