00:00:00.762 --> 00:00:21.486
Hey friends, I am posting a mini bonus episode today because I've been getting so many questions about one specific element of my lean launch strategy and that is my series, my content series, two time sensitive lead magnet framework.

00:00:21.486 --> 00:00:27.736
So did you see my eyes go blue Because I'm completely winging this episode?

00:00:27.736 --> 00:00:46.448
But I wanted to do a podcast episode because, well, I got asked in a few communities to answer this question, to expand on a little bit, and then I did my Lean Marketing Strategy Masterclass a couple days ago and there were questions about it.

00:00:46.448 --> 00:00:49.445
So here I am, let's talk it through.

00:00:49.445 --> 00:00:53.433
It won't be crazy long, it's not that difficult, all right.

00:00:53.433 --> 00:00:57.347
So this is what I do with my core content.

00:00:57.347 --> 00:01:06.590
And, as a reminder for anybody who doesn't know what core content is, it is a specific medium of your content.

00:01:06.590 --> 00:01:09.882
So a podcast, a live stream show, a webinar series.

00:01:09.882 --> 00:01:19.403
So you want to produce it in series of three to five episodes that are within the same umbrella of topic.

00:01:19.403 --> 00:01:29.936
So what this does is a couple things it gets people really entrenched in the topic in bite-sized nibbles and learning bits.

00:01:29.936 --> 00:01:39.989
So they get to learn a little bit about event marketing, for example, over the course of three to five episodes and dive really deep into it.

00:01:39.989 --> 00:01:47.451
They get really invested in it, want to learn more, and all of that should culminate into a time-sensitive lead magnet.

00:01:48.180 --> 00:02:01.748
Now, a time-sensitive lead magnet is most often some sort of virtual event, so I like to end it in a workshop, because I love action, I love to take action, I love to help people take action.

00:02:01.748 --> 00:02:06.450
So all of mine are very hands-on workshops that I culminate with.

00:02:06.450 --> 00:02:10.710
So you just learned about event marketing for five episodes.

00:02:10.710 --> 00:02:17.144
Now we're going to do a workshop where we launch your first virtual event.

00:02:17.144 --> 00:02:18.585
That's an example.

00:02:18.585 --> 00:02:22.250
So that's how it works.

00:02:22.250 --> 00:02:30.508
You get people really excited through that series and then it culminates into a lead magnet that is time sensitive.

00:02:30.508 --> 00:02:35.924
So other versions of time sensitive lead magnets could be a panel.

00:02:35.924 --> 00:02:49.324
Maybe you pull everybody in who was the guest in those three to five episodes and have them do a panel, a Q&A panel, or have them do a roundtable on a specific topic within that topic.

00:02:49.324 --> 00:02:56.787
Maybe you do a webinar swap where one of those guests comes in and does a training for your group.

00:02:56.787 --> 00:02:58.931
Those are some options.

00:02:58.931 --> 00:03:16.907
You could also do something that's not live asynchronous but it has a time-sensitive component, like it's only available for a week, like a private podcast that is turned off in seven days, so they can only access it within those seven days.

00:03:16.907 --> 00:03:19.272
That's another option for time-sensitive.

00:03:20.040 --> 00:03:40.545
The intention behind a time-sensitive lead magnet is you get a surge of people at one time, so it encourages action immediately, whereas a passive lead magnet it's a pop-up on your website, it's a little promo in your email signature.

00:03:40.545 --> 00:03:42.430
It's always working.

00:03:42.430 --> 00:03:49.993
It's always on, so people drip in, but it's not like a tsunami of leads at one time, if you know what I mean.

00:03:49.993 --> 00:03:53.703
So that's how it works.

00:03:53.703 --> 00:04:04.314
And throughout the series, obviously you're doing one umbrella topic and then you do many topics underneath, so it's almost like a hub and spoke model.

00:04:04.314 --> 00:04:17.541
If you're familiar with SEO, promote that lead magnet that's happening at the end.

00:04:17.562 --> 00:04:18.103
Get people excited about it.

00:04:18.103 --> 00:04:19.867
It should be mentioned in every single episode.

00:04:19.867 --> 00:04:23.774
You should have an ad leading to it within your episode.

00:04:23.774 --> 00:04:46.586
Whatever it happens to be it could be a podcast, because I'm using terminology associated with podcasts, but it could be webinars, it could be live events, it could be blog posts, webinars, it could be live events, it could be blog posts, whatever it happens to be, and that will get people really excited and there's no way that they didn't hear about this thing.

00:04:46.586 --> 00:04:47.148
That's happening.

00:04:47.148 --> 00:04:50.701
So everybody who consumed that series is likely to sign up for that time sensitive lead magnet.

00:04:51.382 --> 00:05:01.827
Now you've just converted passive listeners or passive watchers or passive readers into active email subscribers, and that's where the relationship happens.

00:05:01.827 --> 00:05:07.333
That's where you build, you nurture your relationship with your audiences is in the email.

00:05:07.333 --> 00:05:10.028
So that's that.

00:05:10.139 --> 00:05:19.725
It's a super mini episode, but I've been getting this question a lot and I wanted to share it with you and it's just nice that I can reference this podcast episode.

00:05:19.725 --> 00:05:24.994
Now, if you have questions, ask them.

00:05:24.994 --> 00:05:36.211
We have a new feature called fan mail that you can get in the show notes, and the fan mail will send me a message directly to my dashboard and all you have to do is text it.

00:05:36.211 --> 00:05:47.312
I don't have your name or information or anything when you text me a question or a comment, but I do have it in the dashboard so I get your feedback and I'm able to answer your questions.

00:05:47.312 --> 00:06:02.995
So if you have any questions that come up as you're listening to my podcast, you're watching my shows, anything, you're consuming my content in any capacity, send me a fan mail and I'll answer your questions, because I love doing that and I'm happy to help.

00:06:02.995 --> 00:06:06.850
Thank you and enjoy this bonus episode.
