00:00:21.664 --> 00:00:29.301
Hi friends, welcome to episode 115 of the tiny marketing show.

00:00:29.301 --> 00:00:36.033
I'm Sarah Noel Block, or, as my transcripts say, knowles Blocks.

00:00:37.979 --> 00:00:38.401
I don't know.

00:00:38.460 --> 00:00:53.408
Descript can't figure out what my name is, so today I am sharing a clip from my tiny masterclass that I did earlier this week, called the four funnels to booked out one-to-one clients.

00:00:53.408 --> 00:00:59.784
So you were getting a taste of the first funnel on that list, and that is the end of year.

00:00:59.784 --> 00:01:01.127
Biz dev blitz.

00:01:01.127 --> 00:01:05.152
So I'm sharing a clip from that mini masterclass.

00:01:05.992 --> 00:01:11.587
And if you want to watch the entire masterclass and get the other three funnels.

00:01:11.587 --> 00:01:19.844
I have the link down in the show notes and you can grab that along with some fun bonuses that go with it.

00:01:19.844 --> 00:01:21.927
So enjoy.

00:01:21.927 --> 00:01:28.275
And if I don't hear from you until after the holidays, happy holidays, guys.

00:01:28.275 --> 00:01:30.216
I love you, I love you, I love you.

00:01:30.216 --> 00:01:31.784
Enjoy this episode.

00:01:32.367 --> 00:01:32.929
Who am I?

00:01:32.929 --> 00:01:38.673
I have added millions to my clients revenue with content funnels.

00:01:38.673 --> 00:01:40.667
So I'm Sarah Noelle Block.

00:01:40.667 --> 00:01:54.293
I am the host of Tiny Marketing and of the Tiny Marketing Club and I help my clients build organic funnels that bring in clients on repeat.

00:01:54.293 --> 00:01:55.864
That is what I'm about.

00:01:55.864 --> 00:01:59.932
I don't spend any money on ads and I don't rely on referrals.

00:01:59.932 --> 00:02:04.490
I think all of that sucks because you don't have control over it.

00:02:04.490 --> 00:02:10.510
Ads are expensive, referrals are awesome, but you don't have control over it.

00:02:10.510 --> 00:02:11.622
I'm a big no.

00:02:11.622 --> 00:02:12.546
Thank you on that.

00:02:12.546 --> 00:02:15.926
I want organic, I want repeatable systems.

00:02:19.319 --> 00:02:24.122
So here's the story of how I kind of uncovered these funnels.

00:02:24.122 --> 00:02:30.506
So one one year I had a freaking amazing year.

00:02:30.506 --> 00:02:39.411
Well, I had an amazing Q1 and Q2, but then Q3 hit and I had absolute crickets.

00:02:39.411 --> 00:02:41.731
So I had to do something.

00:02:41.731 --> 00:02:43.532
I created an experiment.

00:02:43.532 --> 00:02:48.216
I wanted to recreate what those one-to-many brands do.

00:02:48.216 --> 00:02:52.657
You know, those funnels that they create and you're like why is it so easy for them?

00:02:52.657 --> 00:02:56.980
And it's not.

00:02:56.980 --> 00:02:59.770
When you do one-to-one services it's different because you need to build relationships.

00:02:59.770 --> 00:03:04.050
So I had to rethink what funnels could really look like.

00:03:04.050 --> 00:03:08.139
So I had to rethink what funnels could really look like.

00:03:08.139 --> 00:03:14.442
How could I make funnels that work for one-to-one clients and make it easy and repeatable.

00:03:14.442 --> 00:03:41.717
So I started experimenting and playing with what was working for them to make it work for one-to-one, and I grew my pipeline by multi-figures, multi-six figures, had a wait list and I remained booked out until I wasn't anymore.

00:03:41.737 --> 00:03:42.060
Let me explain.

00:03:42.060 --> 00:03:48.061
I stopped doing these funnels.

00:03:48.061 --> 00:03:49.304
I thought that I had natural momentum.

00:03:49.304 --> 00:03:54.894
I was like, oh, I'm living on easy street, everything's going to be easy, because money was just rolling in for seven months.

00:03:54.894 --> 00:03:56.241
I barely had to try.

00:03:57.743 --> 00:04:02.972
What I didn't realize is that I didn't just have natural momentum.

00:04:02.972 --> 00:04:09.210
What I had was a system that was working, and when I turned it off, it stopped working.

00:04:09.210 --> 00:04:11.086
I stopped making money.

00:04:11.086 --> 00:04:20.754
So I re-implemented my funnels and within 10 days I added an additional $170,000 to my sales pipeline.

00:04:22.961 --> 00:04:25.526
And I learned a lesson too.

00:04:25.526 --> 00:04:37.434
I learned that these systems can be turned on and turned off, but you're not going to just naturally make money unless you're like a Jenna Kuchner.

00:04:37.434 --> 00:04:39.041
It's not going to happen.

00:04:39.041 --> 00:04:47.334
And I also learned that what you do now or don't do now will affect you 90 days from now.

00:04:47.334 --> 00:04:55.473
So I have been running this thing for about five years now tiny marketing as a solo person.

00:04:55.473 --> 00:05:10.843
I was freelancing like I built tiny marketing 10 years ago, but solo for five, and I have realized that the habits that I created, they kick into gear 90 days from now.

00:05:10.843 --> 00:05:13.312
So the things that you're doing will affect you then.

00:05:13.994 --> 00:05:30.516
And when I stopped working on my funnels, 90 days later I had no more funnel, I had no more pipeline left, and when I did do it, it took one quarter and I was filled out for seven months.

00:05:30.516 --> 00:05:35.690
These habits, they're repeatable, but they also build on each other.

00:05:35.690 --> 00:05:42.041
So when you stop doing them, you will slowly feel the pain and then it'll hit you all at once.

00:05:42.041 --> 00:05:46.360
When you're at nothing, the pain.

00:05:46.360 --> 00:05:48.122
And then it'll hit you all at once when you're at nothing.

00:05:48.122 --> 00:05:51.608
What if you had a simple roadmap to keep your client roster full year round?

00:05:51.608 --> 00:05:52.831
And it was just.

00:05:52.831 --> 00:06:04.050
It's a habit that you can just turn on and it's easy and it's possible, because I have done it and I have not done it and I felt the consequences of it.

00:06:07.375 --> 00:06:12.649
Now what you're going to learn today is the four funnels that work for one-to-one offers.

00:06:12.649 --> 00:06:23.151
A bonus companion funnel, which is called the gateway funnel, and it moves prospects from slight interest.

00:06:23.151 --> 00:06:27.963
I'm, you know, moves prospects from slight interest.

00:06:27.963 --> 00:06:31.391
I'm willing to test you out to a high-ticket client and then how to nurture leads that don't convert right away.

00:06:31.391 --> 00:06:51.221
Because, think about it, some of you on this call right now are the type of people who will say, yes, I want to purchase, I want to buy right away, but some of you on here are will want to do your research and you'll get to know the person that you're buying from before you say yes.

00:06:51.221 --> 00:06:52.867
I'm that second person.

00:06:52.867 --> 00:06:59.565
I have sometimes had to be nurtured on list for years before I purchased from someone, and that's okay.

00:06:59.565 --> 00:07:02.050
That's just how consumers work.

00:07:02.050 --> 00:07:08.351
Some people are fast to take action and some people need nurturing, so we're going to talk about that too.

00:07:08.351 --> 00:07:14.723
Need nurturing, so we're going to talk about that too.

00:07:14.723 --> 00:07:15.464
So let's get into the first one Now.

00:07:15.464 --> 00:07:28.149
We know this is quick and dirty, so if you have questions, you can put them in the chat now and I will get to them at the end, cynthia hi, but let's get into the funnels as we're doing this.

00:07:28.149 --> 00:07:34.807
So funnel number one is the one I talked about today on LinkedIn the end of year biz dev blitz.

00:07:34.807 --> 00:07:39.485
So what is it?

00:07:39.485 --> 00:07:46.651
It is a Q4 push to maximize connection calls to secure business before the end of the year.

00:07:46.651 --> 00:07:48.314
Here's how it works.

00:07:49.180 --> 00:07:54.363
You identify ideal fit clients from your network and social media platforms.

00:07:54.363 --> 00:07:58.911
So let me talk you through how I do it.

00:07:58.911 --> 00:08:12.982
One thing I do is I'll go on LinkedIn and I'll check out who has viewed my profile recently, because they are likely interested in working with me and that's the reason they were looking.

00:08:12.982 --> 00:08:19.742
If I don't have any ideal fit people, it's just people wanting to sell me who looked at my profile.

00:08:19.742 --> 00:08:33.366
I'll go to people who share the same audience as me they also sell to the same people as me and I will click on everybody who engaged with their most recent post and I'll find ones that are ideal fits for me and I'll start conversations with them.

00:08:33.366 --> 00:08:47.552
Another thing I'll do is I'll go into my Slack communities that are very niche they have all of the people that I sell to and I'll start answering questions there and connecting with people and scheduling connection calls.

00:08:47.552 --> 00:08:51.542
So those are some easy ways to find good fit people.

00:08:51.542 --> 00:09:03.000
I mean, the absolute easiest one is find people who are doing better like getting higher engagement than you on LinkedIn and just seeing who's engaging with them and then look through that list.

00:09:03.000 --> 00:09:04.725
Are there any good fit people?

00:09:04.725 --> 00:09:10.073
You just say hey, I connected through X and start a conversation that way.

00:09:11.496 --> 00:09:16.528
Next, craft personalized outreach messages that schedule casual connection calls.

00:09:16.528 --> 00:09:21.701
So I rarely have actual true sales calls with people.

00:09:21.701 --> 00:09:44.461
Most of the time I'm just having a casual connection call or a networking call, whatever you want to call it and having a conversation with someone where we're just talking about our business and then if something resonates with them, they'll want to pursue a sales conversation, but they almost always start with a casual connection call.

00:09:44.461 --> 00:09:55.836
Now, a good way to craft a personalized outreach message is, if you guys have listened to my podcast before, as a tiny marketing show.

00:09:55.836 --> 00:10:09.063
I have an episode it's episode 100 with Molly Godfrey and she taught this DM strategy that works so, so well and it basically is.

00:10:09.125 --> 00:10:30.869
When you send that connection request, send a little note with it that says why you connected, like you know what community you found them on or who you found them through, but then put in like a one-liner that describes who you are, what you do and who you do it for, and then send that connection request.

00:10:30.869 --> 00:10:34.365
Will as many people accept your connection request?

00:10:34.365 --> 00:10:47.687
No, a lot of them will be like no thanks, I think that they're going to sell to me, but everybody who does accept them, has given you a little hand raise because they are interested.

00:10:47.687 --> 00:11:02.231
So anytime I am connecting with someone who I think would be an ideal fit client, I send that type of connection request DM and they have been converting like fire.

00:11:02.231 --> 00:11:06.548
So thank you, molly, and if you haven't listened to that episode, it's episode 100.

00:11:09.230 --> 00:11:15.908
And then next, when you're on those connection calls, be naturally curious and have conversations with them.

00:11:15.908 --> 00:11:21.647
Ask them what's going on with their business, who they want to connect with, who their ideal client is.

00:11:21.647 --> 00:11:28.306
If it makes sense, provide a solution, and that solution might not be you.

00:11:28.306 --> 00:11:38.629
So I have tons of connection calls every week and sometimes the solution that they need is a connection with someone else, someone I know.

00:11:38.629 --> 00:11:46.767
Sometimes the connection they need is a free masterclass like this, and sometimes it's my service.

00:11:46.767 --> 00:11:56.404
But I am going to give them the most valuable advice, um solution for them, even if it's not me.

00:11:56.404 --> 00:12:09.597
But that honesty is what drives more sales, and you know referrals still work, so they will also be more likely to send you referrals.

00:12:09.597 --> 00:12:23.125
I actually got a client yesterday from someone who did not upsell to my services, but they loved the honesty and the value that I provide them so much they were like go talk to Sarah.

00:12:23.125 --> 00:12:25.091
I think that she might be a good fit for you.

00:12:25.091 --> 00:12:27.523
So it works on a lot of levels.

00:12:27.562 --> 00:12:35.123
To just be real and why it works it leverages the natural year end urgency for planning.

00:12:35.123 --> 00:12:36.446
That's a huge thing.

00:12:36.446 --> 00:12:44.246
So at the end of a year for companies, they need to do their planning and budgeting for the next year.

00:12:44.246 --> 00:12:46.860
This usually happens somewhere in Q4.

00:12:46.860 --> 00:12:53.041
They also need to spend whatever is left over in their budget or they will lose it for the following year.

00:12:53.041 --> 00:12:55.907
So they need to spend money.

00:12:56.028 --> 00:13:07.251
So now is a great time to do your biz dev blitz, because they might have urgent projects or they might prepay you in order to use up that budget for next year's projects.

00:13:07.251 --> 00:13:13.326
It positions you as a partner to achieve next year's goals, because they're thinking about this now.

00:13:13.326 --> 00:13:20.692
They have to plan their budget at this time of year, so they are thinking about what projects they're going to do in 2025.

00:13:20.692 --> 00:13:35.711
So now is the time to have the conversations with them and last, the connection calls allow you to build a relationship that leads to trust and sales, because you're doing it really organically and honestly.

00:13:35.711 --> 00:13:50.227
It's going to lead to a less power, dynamic relationship when you go from connection, call to that sales conversation Because you're just curious.

00:13:50.861 --> 00:13:52.904
It's like Ted Lasso, just be curious.

00:13:52.904 --> 00:14:06.349
And for you guys who don't have a great one-liner, there is a one-liner workshop that's available in the Tiny Marketing Club so you can.

00:14:06.349 --> 00:14:09.316
If you're part of that, you can grab that.

00:14:09.316 --> 00:14:15.168
It was a workshop that I did earlier this year but it will.

00:14:15.168 --> 00:14:20.825
By the end of it you'll have multiple one-liners that you can use, depending on the person that you're sending it to.

00:14:22.671 --> 00:14:23.673
That was that.

00:14:23.673 --> 00:14:28.764
I hope you enjoyed learning about my end of year.

00:14:28.764 --> 00:14:32.831
Biz dev blitz funnel, which works wonders.

00:14:33.312 --> 00:14:43.528
And I do it every single year at this point, If you want the three other funnels that I taught in that masterclass head to the show notes page and you can download it.

00:14:45.000 --> 00:14:58.591
And on top of that I will send out two bonus funnels in the email sequence that follows, so you can learn a couple more more scalable funnels that work for booking one-to-one clients.

00:14:58.591 --> 00:15:01.020
So thank you, thank you, thank you.

00:15:01.020 --> 00:15:09.923
And if you want to build out your everyday profit habits together, don't forget to join the Tiny Marketing Club.

00:15:09.923 --> 00:15:15.706

00:15:28.645 --> 00:15:35.280
The more you interact with these episodes, the more it gets boop popped up in the algorithm.

00:15:35.280 --> 00:15:40.486
Though, by the way, if you're watching on video, can you tell that it's really cold in Chicago today?

00:15:40.486 --> 00:15:42.489
I'm right outside of Chicago.

00:15:42.489 --> 00:15:45.231
I am in a big sweatshirt.

00:15:45.231 --> 00:15:49.256
In fact it's my husband's and it's five degrees.

00:15:49.256 --> 00:16:04.851
And if you don't comment, like, subscribe etc before the holidays, I just want to say happy holidays to all of you and I will see you next week.

00:16:05.422 --> 00:16:07.690
You love all things tiny marketing.
