Hello and welcome to episode 118.
00:00:26.995 --> 00:00:31.957
I'm Sarah Noelle Black and you're watching the tiny marketing show, or listening, I suppose.
00:00:31.957 --> 00:00:35.524
However, you're consuming this show.
00:00:36.567 --> 00:00:40.033
Today, we're talking about how SEO has changed.
00:00:40.033 --> 00:00:46.393
We all know it's changed since around like early 2023, when ChatGPT came out.
00:00:46.393 --> 00:00:48.386
Everything has changed.
00:00:48.386 --> 00:00:55.933
It's just been a whirlwind of how we have adapted to search engines.
00:00:55.933 --> 00:01:03.051
We used to go automatically to Google and we knew how to get on Google too.
00:01:03.051 --> 00:01:11.590
It was just a matter of having the right keywords in your articles and making sure your title tags were correct and all of that.
00:01:12.061 --> 00:01:23.867
But it is completely different since AI has entered the scene and a lot of people have claimed it is dead, that SEO is dead, but that is far from the truth.
00:01:23.867 --> 00:01:30.147
It's more of it's dead for people who haven't evolved, and I think that that's the case for a lot of things.
00:01:30.147 --> 00:01:38.387
If you didn't evolve with the emergence of AI, a lot of things have died.
00:01:38.387 --> 00:01:44.063
If you're listening to this, you don't realize that I just did quote, unquote.
00:01:44.063 --> 00:01:46.450
They're not actually dead, though.
00:01:46.599 --> 00:01:55.948
You have to adjust the way you do things to adapt to the way things change, and that's exactly the case with SEO.
00:01:55.948 --> 00:02:10.241
So today I have Greg Brooks and he is teaching us everything that we need to know about SEO when it comes to 2025 and the things that matter now.
00:02:10.241 --> 00:02:17.082
In search, we need to look at the fact that people are using social media channels as search engines.
00:02:17.082 --> 00:02:21.361
Now, more people are going to TikTok and searching for something than they're going to Google.
00:02:21.361 --> 00:02:27.544
In Gen Z, more people are going to chat GPT than going to Google than they used to.
00:02:27.544 --> 00:02:45.149
Things have changed, so we need to adapt the way we use search engines and the way that we optimize our content to be found by these search engines, because search engines are not just DuckDuckGo, bing, google anymore.
00:02:45.149 --> 00:02:52.567
Now they're YouTube, now they are TikTok, now they're LinkedIn, now they're ChatGPT.
00:02:52.567 --> 00:02:55.413
There's a whole other way to look at it.
00:02:55.413 --> 00:03:00.853
So I'm excited to share all of the insights that Greg Brooks shared with me.
00:03:00.853 --> 00:03:10.561
Let's get started shared with me.
00:03:10.580 --> 00:03:11.362
And let's get started.
00:03:11.362 --> 00:03:12.526
My name is Greg Brooks, Hi audience.
00:03:12.526 --> 00:03:20.051
I am a CMO and I'm a partner at Search Tides, which is a hub for all things search and SEO and social search the future of how humans look and acquire knowledge online.
00:03:20.051 --> 00:03:23.562
Search Tides has existed for about 13 years.
00:03:23.562 --> 00:03:26.390
We've worked with all different types of large companies.
00:03:26.390 --> 00:03:47.522
We worked with some small companies in there as well and we've really learned a lot of lessons on how marketing channels and specific marketing channels ebb and flow and evolve over time and where they're going to specifically, and some things we think are intuitive and a lot of stuff we think is really going against the grain in our opinions.
00:03:48.485 --> 00:03:49.847
Ooh, okay.
00:03:49.847 --> 00:03:54.562
Well, now I'm curious can you just, can you give me a little, a little teaser on that?
00:03:54.562 --> 00:03:57.592
What, what do you have that's going against the grain.
00:03:58.600 --> 00:04:19.533
I think right now the grain is that Google is collapsing and it its empire, and it's being split up across chat, gpt and perplexity, dot AI and social search across like TikTok and YouTube, and I think, ironically, google has probably by far the best chance to be the winning AI bot.
00:04:19.533 --> 00:04:28.473
It's called AI overviews, used to be called Google SGE, and the reason is because almost every website in the world blocks chat GPT.
00:04:28.473 --> 00:04:49.107
They block GPT models because they don't want their data being crawled for no reason, but they make sure that Google can crawl their website and so now you have the number one biggest search company in the world that also has the number one largest data set to train its AI model on that no one else has.
00:04:49.107 --> 00:04:57.052
So I think people are kind of calling for the end of something, but you know, those rooting for Google's demise might have some surprising news.
00:04:57.860 --> 00:04:59.124
Damn Before we get into.
00:04:59.124 --> 00:05:01.930
Okay, I'm not going to rabbit hole, I'm not going to do it.
00:05:02.720 --> 00:05:04.526
Okay, the portal's right here.
00:05:04.526 --> 00:05:06.442
I'm just saying I'm so good at it.
00:05:06.963 --> 00:05:20.502
I'm so good at rabbit holing I'm like, okay, I need to dig right there, but I'm not going to, because today we're focusing on the things that are shifting and what we should plan for in SEO in 2025.
00:05:20.502 --> 00:05:31.995
And we're specifically talking to those solo marketing departments and marketing or founder-led businesses that are stuck in the marketing role.
00:05:31.995 --> 00:05:36.988
So they really need to understand what they need to focus on.
00:05:36.988 --> 00:05:41.345
And, quick and dirty ows, how do you make it work?
00:05:41.345 --> 00:05:49.093
So the first thing I want to dig in on is AI, because that I have zero clue on how that works with SEO Zero.
00:05:49.093 --> 00:05:52.706
So I'm a fresh, spongy brain right now.
00:05:54.310 --> 00:05:55.452
Okay, well, here we go.
00:05:55.452 --> 00:05:56.362
I got some.
00:05:56.362 --> 00:05:57.807
I'll get some quick tips for that.
00:05:57.807 --> 00:06:12.752
Ultimately, if you're a solo marketer, or you're a founder-led marketer, then, or really a founder masquerading as a marketer, then we just have to be realistic, right?
00:06:12.752 --> 00:06:18.588
I think the number one thing that you need to decide is if a given marketing channel is worth your time.
00:06:18.588 --> 00:06:24.689
So I'll just say this right away Search organic search results on Google.
00:06:25.500 --> 00:06:56.446
If you are a national search result, so you're not like a location-specific business or stuff like that, as a single person, you're gonna have a lot of difficulty being competitive against larger companies and organizations who have marketing departments, who have SEO teams, who have built out a website over the last 10 to 15 years and have done things like link building and content creation, and you're playing somebody else's game, and so the first thing that I would say is maybe don't do that.
00:06:56.446 --> 00:07:02.206
Maybe there's better uses of your time if you're somebody who is already in a role that's going to be wearing a variety of hats.
00:07:02.206 --> 00:07:20.146
Now, if you're in a business that is geographically fenced, then search is going to be a fantastic option for you, because it's not about your overall authority or power or how long you've been in the industry, for it's about your relevance to someone searching Capital R relevance.
00:07:20.146 --> 00:07:28.947
What that means, sarah, is that where you want to be the best option in a given location, which means you're just competing against.
00:07:28.947 --> 00:07:39.052
If you're, for example, like a car dealership, you're just competing against the other car dealerships, and that also means that you'd want to show Google or any other search engine that you are the most relevant.
00:07:39.281 --> 00:07:40.586
Well, what would that look like?
00:07:40.586 --> 00:07:42.399
You mentioned Chicago.
00:07:42.399 --> 00:07:53.786
Well, we'd probably be talking about different neighborhoods in Chicago, if we're being honest, and maybe a major metropolitan area is not the best example to use for a car dealership, so we're going to use a different one.
00:07:53.786 --> 00:08:00.206
Let's just say, someplace in some sort of outside suburb of Chicago.
00:08:00.427 --> 00:08:01.430
We'll say Hanover Park.
00:08:02.139 --> 00:08:02.480
Beautiful.
00:08:02.480 --> 00:08:03.144
So Hanover Park.
00:08:03.144 --> 00:08:05.250
So I'm a car dealership in Hanover Park.
00:08:05.250 --> 00:08:20.108
I should be outreaching to the local chamber of commerce or local other business entities that exist around that community, be part of them, interact with them or at least minimally get a link from them back to my website.
00:08:20.108 --> 00:08:24.569
My local reviews on Google my Business are going to be really, really important.
00:08:24.569 --> 00:08:28.148
I can go have conversations with people who are in the dealership and ask them about that.
00:08:28.148 --> 00:08:37.984
I, if I'm selling Audis, I can go, and I can go to the regional Audi dealership and say, hey, can you put a link to my website from your website?
00:08:37.984 --> 00:08:52.349
So I'm gaining up relevance and doing literally those three things and nothing else is going to take you a lot further on the local side of things than probably most of the other things that people would know and obviously the basic things like meta descriptions, title tags.
00:08:52.349 --> 00:08:53.140
That stuff's important.
00:08:53.542 --> 00:09:02.890
So, in terms of AI and how this all plays into things, let's scoot back to nationally and say, okay, well, what if I'm not a specific location for a business?
00:09:02.890 --> 00:09:04.464
How does AI impact?
00:09:04.464 --> 00:09:06.289
How I think about search or SEO?
00:09:06.289 --> 00:09:08.908
And the answer is what does it look like?
00:09:09.080 --> 00:09:20.027
How does your content that you create live and win in a world which 99.9% of content is AI generated and this is not the content of today.
00:09:20.027 --> 00:09:22.340
Yet we're probably only at 99%.
00:09:22.340 --> 00:09:24.607
We still got another 10X to go, you know.
00:09:24.607 --> 00:09:33.342
But really, what it means is we have chat GPT 4.0 right now and if you try to push a button and create a piece of content, it's it's not.
00:09:33.342 --> 00:09:34.546
It's not great, it's not great.
00:09:34.546 --> 00:09:39.101
But for chat GPT, 10.0, it might be great, or 15.0.
00:09:39.101 --> 00:09:39.763
It might be great.
00:09:39.763 --> 00:09:46.855
So at some point in the future it is going to get easy quote unquote to make good content, quote unquote.
00:09:46.855 --> 00:09:50.309
So how do you shine through that?
00:09:50.309 --> 00:09:52.005
You bring the human element.
00:09:52.005 --> 00:09:54.720
You talk about your unique expertise.
00:09:54.720 --> 00:09:57.100
You talk about your unique experience.
00:09:57.100 --> 00:10:00.279
You talk about the things that you know because you've been doing.
00:10:00.279 --> 00:10:15.471
And if you don't have things that you know because you haven't been doing, I might ask whether or not you should be the person writing about that on the internet, because now you're just only as good as everybody else's one-button-click-push article creation software.
00:10:16.533 --> 00:10:17.615
Okay Question.
00:10:17.615 --> 00:10:25.552
So whenever I'm Googling lately, it's always I get the AI summary first.
00:10:26.153 --> 00:10:26.293
Yes.
00:10:26.440 --> 00:10:31.854
How do you get your website to be the one cited in that AI summary?
00:10:33.515 --> 00:10:35.342
Yes, well, it's a three-step process.
00:10:35.342 --> 00:10:56.019
Step one and two does, in fact, require us to sprinkle fairy dust in two specific places so that we can make it happen, but once you do that, it's all about understanding that Google, even its AI, even anything on the internet, anything that someone calls AI or machine learning the best way to think about that is as an instruction manual.
00:10:56.019 --> 00:11:05.544
It's just this robot following an instruction manual, and when we call it machine learning, that means that we don't know what the instruction manual looks like.
00:11:05.544 --> 00:11:06.726
We didn't write it.
00:11:06.726 --> 00:11:07.668
We don't know what's in there.
00:11:07.668 --> 00:11:08.149
It's crazy.
00:11:08.149 --> 00:11:11.384
We just said get better at this thing and don't blow us up.
00:11:11.384 --> 00:11:14.760
So that's it and it's going and doing that, but it is following that instruction.
00:11:14.760 --> 00:11:17.619
It and it's going and doing that, but it is following that instruction.
00:11:17.639 --> 00:11:24.897
So when, when, uh, when something from Google or any other website crawls your site, it is inherently not as smart as we think it is.
00:11:24.897 --> 00:11:26.581
And so what does that mean?
00:11:26.581 --> 00:11:30.500
Well, if you have a question, put the answer right under the question.
00:11:30.500 --> 00:11:55.787
If you're writing about a certain topic in the first sentence of your first paragraph, answer and the rest of your first paragraph answer and the rest of your first paragraph provide context about that answer, then the rest of the article should be about further context, or the rest of the piece of content, further context or zooming in deeper into certain areas of the answer, or elaborating on if I'm thinking about this.
00:11:55.875 --> 00:11:58.504
I actually need to know these other three things.
00:11:58.504 --> 00:12:20.726
So I'm going to answer an unasked question which is going to help someone on their customer journey, and what you're doing is, yes, you're providing a comprehensive, basically guide, but on the flip side, you are writing it in the way, assuming that robots, spiders, ai things, whatever's on your website these days aren't actually good at guessing what it's about.
00:12:20.726 --> 00:12:22.643
So you're like here's a question, here's the answer.
00:12:22.643 --> 00:12:25.524
That's the number one way to get into the AI overviews right now.
00:12:26.115 --> 00:12:27.179
Okay, that's good to know.
00:12:27.179 --> 00:12:47.347
So anyone who is tempted to be really creative and write engaging content, you have to do Q&A, dumb it down first before you get into the story piece and what you were talking about earlier, your personal experiences, that type of thing.
00:12:48.556 --> 00:12:50.299
Sure and just a sentence.
00:12:50.299 --> 00:12:53.427
You don't have to eliminate your creativity or anything.
00:12:53.427 --> 00:12:56.427
We're just talking about the end of.
00:12:56.427 --> 00:13:02.986
I look up a recipe online and you tell me about your grandmother's cabin in the woods, Like that era doesn't exist anymore.
00:13:03.775 --> 00:13:06.182
Oh no, I absolutely hated that.
00:13:06.182 --> 00:13:09.778
Every time I have a recipe pulled I'm like I don't care about this story.
00:13:09.778 --> 00:13:13.436
I just want the ingredients and the order they need to go in the thing.
00:13:14.298 --> 00:13:20.663
Right, I mean people don't even realize this, but, like grandmothers also hate stories about their cabin, so there's no winner in any of that.
00:13:22.336 --> 00:13:25.904
Everyone was the loser in this situation.
00:13:26.225 --> 00:13:26.807
Exactly.
00:13:26.807 --> 00:13:27.716
So.
00:13:27.716 --> 00:13:30.365
That's really to answer your question.
00:13:30.365 --> 00:13:33.183
That is the shift in what's happening.
00:13:33.183 --> 00:13:43.124
We're getting rid of the fluff, we're getting rid of the information for the sake of information, or words for the sake of words, or video for the sake of video.
00:13:43.124 --> 00:13:50.081
We use a metric called value per word and value per second, depending on if we're talking about written or video.
00:13:50.081 --> 00:13:56.148
If you can showcase something in a shorter, more efficient period of time, do that.
00:13:56.148 --> 00:14:00.144
Number one it's going to be better for the person who's interacting with that content.
00:14:00.144 --> 00:14:03.865
Number two you actually can't do that unless you're an expert.
00:14:03.865 --> 00:14:07.044
You actually can't do that unless you can synthesize.
00:14:07.044 --> 00:14:10.841
Well, even though this is what theory says, in reality this is what's real.
00:14:10.841 --> 00:14:12.120
So I'm going to ignore this stuff.
00:14:12.120 --> 00:14:14.255
I'm going to hone in on this stuff, and so you're in.
00:14:14.255 --> 00:14:17.701
You're, in essence, showcasing your experience and your expertise.
00:14:18.783 --> 00:14:21.025
Okay, so short to the point.
00:14:21.025 --> 00:14:22.628
Showcase your expertise.
00:14:22.628 --> 00:14:29.947
What's your, your take on inserting personality and stories into the content?
00:14:30.890 --> 00:14:31.351
I love it.
00:14:31.351 --> 00:14:38.208
I mean, at Search Sites, we we divide a search into three different parts of they're, you know, from the bottom up.
00:14:38.208 --> 00:14:45.644
The bottom is the foundational era, which is all the traditional SEO stuff link building, content creation, technical robots.
00:14:45.644 --> 00:14:46.407
Who knows what's in there?
00:14:46.407 --> 00:14:47.067
It's a black box.
00:14:47.067 --> 00:14:48.942
The second one is where we're at right now.
00:14:49.014 --> 00:14:53.465
It's called the influence era, and that's like am I an expert?
00:14:53.465 --> 00:14:55.623
Am I, do I have trustworthiness?
00:14:55.623 --> 00:14:56.176
Am I an expert?
00:14:56.176 --> 00:15:05.565
Do I have trustworthiness, am I an authority, if I'm writing about something that has to do with giving people medicine, should I actually do I have the understanding to provide that advice or financial advice?
00:15:05.565 --> 00:15:07.601
And then the top of the pyramid is the future.
00:15:07.601 --> 00:15:23.866
That's where all the AI content era is going to exist, but we're actually calling it the human era, and that is the equivalent of once things start being able to be mass produced in a factory, that you can go buy it at a Kia and, other than nearly destroying your relationship, you could put the furniture together and it'll work.
00:15:23.866 --> 00:15:26.142
But what do people then go and want?
00:15:26.142 --> 00:15:35.005
Well, they want handmade furniture, and so be the handmade furniture of content, and that, by definition, sarah, that should have your personality in.
00:15:35.274 --> 00:15:38.917
That should have your own personal story in, so really embrace that stuff.
00:15:40.177 --> 00:15:42.298
Yeah, yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
00:15:42.298 --> 00:15:43.840
That's going back.
00:15:43.840 --> 00:15:59.590
That's what I've been telling people is like be more authentically, you and you'll stand out, because everyone else is just becoming more bland as they rely on ChatGPT to crank it all out.
00:16:00.509 --> 00:16:12.279
Yes, people always believe that technology replaces, but what it does is it gives more leverage to the two experts, and I don't mean in the sense that we've been talking about.
00:16:12.279 --> 00:16:18.919
If you know what it is that you're doing, if you're a developer and you use ChatGPT, you're going to be a way better developer.
00:16:18.919 --> 00:16:22.698
If you're a writer and you use chat GPT, it's going to help you out.
00:16:22.698 --> 00:16:24.342
We, we use chat GPT.
00:16:24.342 --> 00:16:26.436
We bring all of our articles through there and we go.
00:16:26.436 --> 00:16:28.721
Or all of our scripts and we go hey, can you remove the fluff?
00:16:28.721 --> 00:16:38.076
Remove the fluff, sure, and he goes yeah, no problem.
00:16:38.076 --> 00:16:39.140
And we're like, oh my heart, but it really.
00:16:39.140 --> 00:16:39.943
You know it works, it works really well.
00:16:39.964 --> 00:16:44.258
Hey, can you go and look at the top five search results for a given keyword and give me a list of all the subtopics that they're writing about?
00:16:44.258 --> 00:16:46.523
And so I want an outline of that.
00:16:46.523 --> 00:16:55.203
Okay, well, if I didn't know to do that, chatgpt is not going to help me, but if I, since I know to do that, I'm going to get a more effective use.
00:16:55.203 --> 00:16:56.065
How about this one?
00:16:56.065 --> 00:17:04.140
Hey, here's Google's helpfulness guidelines that talk about experience, expertise, authoritativeness, trustworthiness, chatgpt I'm uploading this to you.
00:17:04.140 --> 00:17:05.785
Hey, here's my article.
00:17:05.785 --> 00:17:10.866
Hey, can you identify places where I can add more experience or trustworthiness?
00:17:10.866 --> 00:17:16.025
Can you find some quotes that are relevant, some statistics and data that are relevant?
00:17:16.025 --> 00:17:26.183
If you don't know that that's just inherently a good thing to do to create high quality, you're never going to get that, but if you know that now your job becomes, you know way easier.
00:17:26.605 --> 00:17:27.847
Oh, and so much faster.
00:17:27.847 --> 00:17:40.435
Yeah, I have become obsessed with creating custom chats and like inserting brand voice guidelines and all of that because it just makes everything faster.
00:17:40.435 --> 00:17:43.463
But a question that I always ask is is there anything I'm missing?
00:17:43.463 --> 00:17:53.006
Like I'll upload a piece of content, is there something that this audience would want to know, that I didn't think to say, and usually comes up with something pretty brilliant.
00:17:54.075 --> 00:17:59.318
Yeah, I mean, that's so insightful and so okay, how does all of this work in terms of search and SEO?
00:17:59.538 --> 00:18:13.084
And so, again, like, if you're on a national capacity, you should care less about optimizing your article keywords for Google and you should care more about meeting your customer on their customer journey Once they become brand aware of you.
00:18:13.084 --> 00:18:18.566
If you want to go down to the discoverability route, do that on social.
00:18:18.566 --> 00:18:28.263
So, depending on where your audience is, you can win way earlier in your brand's career on TikTok, on YouTube, on Instagram, whatever it is, pinterest.
00:18:28.263 --> 00:18:40.198
You have a way better chance of treating that search bar like an SEO search bar and doing the research to see, if I type in how to you know vacation ideas for blah, blah, blah.
00:18:40.198 --> 00:18:45.538
What are the types of content that are there, what, who are the creators who are creating that content?
00:18:45.538 --> 00:18:48.086
A lot of times, it's way easier to get discovered there.
00:18:48.086 --> 00:19:04.958
So it's really just about understanding where you, where your customers are and where your audience is and then just being really relentless in your prioritizing, gaining in front of them, which is going to be saying no to things that are good ideas for others.
00:19:06.042 --> 00:19:21.845
I love that and I want to highlight it in case anybody missed the brilliance of that that social media engines are search engines and that you can build your audience there and you can use SEO to be able to become more discoverable on those platforms.
00:19:21.845 --> 00:19:30.720
I know a lot of people find me on LinkedIn using the search bar, just using keywords that are in my profile, so you got to take advantage of that.
00:19:31.643 --> 00:20:02.127
Right, right, and especially as a one-person marketing department, you have to choose what you're going to do and what you're not going to do, and most of the time, your success comes from choosing what you're not going to do, and most of the time, that means that your success will come from choosing something that you believe is reasonable enough and then spending enough time and concerted effort on it until you push the snowball down from the mountain and you go okay, now this is turning something for me.
00:20:02.127 --> 00:20:14.722
So I think I think patience and perseverance are both necessary when you are kind of a smaller marketing department team person is really, really about prioritization, which is a trap.
00:20:15.044 --> 00:20:18.872
It's really about deprioritization really about prioritization, which is a trap.
00:20:18.872 --> 00:20:19.953
It's really about deprioritization.
00:20:19.953 --> 00:20:27.080
Yeah yeah, there's so much power in saying no, that thing's not.
00:20:27.080 --> 00:20:38.276
For me, it's so easy to fall into this trap of wanting to try all of the things and just seeing what works, but you're going to suck at all of them if you're doing all of them because you won't have time or energy to focus in on that one thing.
00:20:39.518 --> 00:20:40.038
Absolutely.
00:20:40.840 --> 00:20:52.368
So the other thing that I wanted to touch on in this conversation was voice search, which I truly have no idea how SEO works with voice search, so please enlighten me.
00:20:54.255 --> 00:20:59.338
Yeah, no, well, you know we've been looking for the person who knows how voice search works.
00:20:59.338 --> 00:21:00.078
We haven't found them.
00:21:00.078 --> 00:21:01.099
We'll let you know if we found them.
00:21:01.099 --> 00:21:05.643
But yeah, I think it works, the same as all of the other searches work.
00:21:05.643 --> 00:21:10.006
The difference is essentially one of two things is happening.
00:21:10.006 --> 00:21:13.929
So you're just getting effectively the top search result.
00:21:13.929 --> 00:21:16.030
That's effectively what's coming back.
00:21:16.030 --> 00:21:19.093
You're not going to get the rest unless you're specifically asking for it.
00:21:19.093 --> 00:21:38.326
So voice search is going to be even more top heavy, which means it's going to be even more competitive if you're a national brand or you have no geographical relevance, which also means that on the you know, hey, I'm looking for a restaurant to go eat at, or whatever it is, this is where I'm at.
00:21:38.326 --> 00:21:41.355
Or hey, you know it's going to use gas stations.
00:21:41.355 --> 00:21:46.692
I don't think gas stations are doing SEO, it's more of a convenience purchase.
00:21:46.893 --> 00:21:49.376
Yeah, exactly so.
00:21:49.376 --> 00:22:00.579
Relevance locational relevance then becomes more important again on voice search, and that's again things that you actually can do as a single person marketing search, and that's again things that you actually can do as a single person marketing department.
00:22:00.579 --> 00:22:04.843
So that could be an effect of doubling down.
00:22:04.843 --> 00:22:08.553
But the future for all of this stuff, sarah, is personalization.
00:22:08.553 --> 00:22:18.036
Like the one thing that I think enough people agree with with AI is that we don't know, you know, I don't know if we're going to be going through any sort of like.
00:22:18.036 --> 00:22:18.886
I don't know if we're going to be going through any sort of like.
00:22:18.886 --> 00:22:50.261
I don't know how much space exploration AI is going to be generating in the next 10 years, but there is going to be this one-to-one effect that exists when you have an algorithm tailoring something to you specifically, compared to a person trying to tailor something to an entire audience, and so you will get more personalized results, which means that brands need to shift their messaging to stand for more things and be more vocal about what their own eye.
00:22:50.402 --> 00:22:52.489
We're super product oriented.
00:22:52.489 --> 00:22:54.214
We really care about product.
00:22:54.214 --> 00:23:02.294
If you want somebody to respond to your emails four hours after you write them, at any time in the day, please don't choose us, because that's not us.
00:23:02.294 --> 00:23:07.277
If you want somebody who's just focused on getting you the absolute best product, that is us.
00:23:07.277 --> 00:23:16.986
If you want somebody to pick up the phone 24 seven and help you out, no matter what your problem is, including if it's with your in-laws, that's us, because customer support is super, super important.
00:23:16.986 --> 00:23:18.807
Like it's with your in-laws, that's us, because customer support is super, super important.
00:23:18.807 --> 00:23:21.009
Like it's really about vocalizing those brand values I'm not talking about.
00:23:21.009 --> 00:23:21.170
Like.
00:23:21.170 --> 00:23:23.913
Here's our 10 thoughts about the political landscape of the United States.
00:23:23.932 --> 00:23:25.494
You know like those values.
00:23:25.494 --> 00:23:29.019
It's like your differentiator, your values, your mission.
00:23:29.019 --> 00:23:31.560
Yes, those are the things that will get you to stand out.
00:23:38.045 --> 00:23:39.691
A hundred percent, because what AI is going to do is create more consumer choice.
00:23:39.691 --> 00:23:40.374
We already saw this with content.
00:23:40.374 --> 00:23:42.402
We had three television stations, then 15 channels, then 50, 500.
00:23:42.402 --> 00:23:52.292
And now we have millions across social media, because, instead of a whole setup, you just need your phone which, by the way, you have anyways and AI will do something similar.
00:23:52.492 --> 00:24:23.212
With the amount of businesses that are out there, it'll be easier for one or three people to start a business that used to take five, maybe 10 people to do, and so that just means there's going to be more businesses in a given area, and that means there's going to be more consumer choice in that area, which means you're going to have to stand out more, so you're going to have to talk about your own values and who the perfect customer is for you, and you're also going to have to know them more and what their pain points are and where they are in the customer journey and where they hang out and, again, all the stuff that you say no to.
00:24:23.212 --> 00:24:26.971
That is the thing that's going to put you in a position to be successful in the future.
