00:00:01.743 --> 00:00:02.525
Hey, hey, hey.
00:00:02.525 --> 00:00:06.073
This is Sarah Noelle Block and you are listening to Tiny Marketing.
00:00:06.073 --> 00:00:16.609
This is the uncut summer series where you are getting the raw, unfiltered, unedited recordings from our interviews, webinars and workshops.
00:00:16.609 --> 00:00:20.070
So sit back, relax and enjoy the ridiculousness.
00:00:20.070 --> 00:00:37.588
I am taking you behind the scenes on creating my long, four-hour in-person content creation party workshop for the entire state of Illinois.
00:00:37.588 --> 00:00:41.295
So let's get to it.
00:00:43.542 --> 00:00:56.613
I worked with my husband, who is in leadership, to design a workshop that would keep people engaged because, let's be real, four hours is a really, really long time.
00:00:56.613 --> 00:01:07.441
So I needed to make sure that this workshop was extremely, extremely, extremely engaging and kept people interested the whole time.
00:01:07.441 --> 00:01:12.371
So he helped me develop the agenda that would facilitate that.
00:01:12.371 --> 00:01:29.444
So the first 15 minutes of it is introducing the event myself and starting a discussion on what people really want from the event, so we can sort of set the stage on what a win would be by the end of the workshop.
00:01:29.444 --> 00:01:32.850
Next thing is the teaching element of it.
00:01:32.850 --> 00:01:41.081
So I am going to teach them how to do content planning and introduce a content calendar and how they can use it most effectively.
00:01:41.081 --> 00:01:56.375
After this teaching moment, which would be about 45 minutes to an hour, we'll take a break so people can step away, get a little mind break and have some time to adjust.
00:01:56.375 --> 00:02:03.207
Next up, we're going to come together and do something physical to get people on their toes, physical to get people on their toes.
00:02:03.207 --> 00:02:17.187
So we're going to do a four corner question and with this I'm asking them two to three questions that will get them moving into different corners of the room to get them, you know, energized.
00:02:17.187 --> 00:02:28.100
So they're moving, they're thinking, they're talking, and then the final question will get them into their final groups for the activity that will come.
00:02:28.100 --> 00:02:33.152
So the next piece of it is explaining the activity.
00:02:33.152 --> 00:02:45.229
So I'm going to take just five minutes to set the stage on what the activity will look like, how they can complete it and say okay, these are your groups, these four corners are the groups.
00:02:45.229 --> 00:02:48.587
Then we'll go into the activity.
00:02:48.699 --> 00:02:52.711
The first one is a content calendar planning activity.
00:02:52.711 --> 00:03:01.099
So they're going to spend about 45 minutes working together to create one season of content.
00:03:01.099 --> 00:03:08.417
The objective by the end of the workshop is to be able to have an entire year's worth of content.
00:03:08.417 --> 00:03:23.984
So this first section is breaking up into those four quarters and each quarter is going to be assigned the content calendar for that quarter and then they're going to share it, so they'll have a full year.
00:03:23.984 --> 00:03:27.919
So that's what they'll be doing for the next 45 minutes.
00:03:27.919 --> 00:03:30.706
What do we need to talk about for this season?
00:03:30.706 --> 00:03:45.930
Then we will get back together and we'll start sharing out what are things that we added to our content calendar, and does anybody else have ideas on what we should include in the content calendar for that season?
00:03:45.930 --> 00:03:49.281
So we'll be able to talk to the larger group during this next part.
00:03:50.383 --> 00:04:09.432
We'll take another break, move people away, get them moving again, and then we're going to come back to another teaching moment where I will teach them how to use AI and repurpose the B-roll, the videography, the photos that they did earlier, before my session started.
00:04:09.432 --> 00:04:20.125
So I'm going to teach them for about 30 minutes how to use chat, gpt, how to use repurposing and AI tools to do it really quickly.
00:04:20.125 --> 00:04:29.266
Then we're going to do a group activity where I walk them through how to do this for one particular project.
00:04:29.266 --> 00:04:33.653
Then they'll be able to see what it looks like in real life.
00:04:33.653 --> 00:04:45.923
And then they are going to go back to their groups and they will complete their own activity where they will repurpose, use AI in order to create the content.
00:04:45.923 --> 00:04:55.841
Last, after they created their thing, they will share out their project and share it with the room and we'll wrap up the workshop.
00:04:55.841 --> 00:05:02.892
So that is what a four-hour workshop looks like agenda-wise.
00:05:03.834 --> 00:05:06.201
Now let's get into the content of it.
00:05:06.201 --> 00:05:15.235
The first thing that I need to teach in this workshop is content planning and calendar creation.
00:05:15.235 --> 00:05:21.197
So the first thing I do is explain what on earth is content planning.
00:05:21.197 --> 00:05:24.528
No one attending this workshop is a marketer, so they're not going to know.
00:05:24.528 --> 00:05:28.920
So we want to define your goals for the quarter.
00:05:29.161 --> 00:05:31.786
What programs or events do you need to promote?
00:05:31.786 --> 00:05:39.043
Audit existing content Is there anything that you can repurpose that you've already created?
00:05:39.043 --> 00:05:41.627
Assess the competition.
00:05:41.627 --> 00:05:49.108
Do you have any ideas that would work for you, based off of what the competition has done in previous seasons?
00:05:49.108 --> 00:05:53.790
Scan through their socials, scan through their websites what works.
00:05:53.790 --> 00:05:56.461
Build an editorial calendar.
00:05:56.461 --> 00:06:01.694
Create three to five pieces of content for every piece of content.
00:06:01.694 --> 00:06:03.420
Repurpose to high heaven.
00:06:03.420 --> 00:06:09.767
Create engagement points within your content.
00:06:09.767 --> 00:06:15.355
So how do we get people to engage with your content and plan for that ahead of time?
00:06:16.139 --> 00:06:18.930
And then, last is pre-repurpose.
00:06:19.699 --> 00:06:23.692
So understanding what content that you've created this season.
00:06:24.595 --> 00:06:29.490
Is there any of it that you can use for next year at the same time.
00:06:29.490 --> 00:06:30.963
Who's going to remember?
00:06:30.963 --> 00:06:37.882
All right, and then the last bit of the workshop was around repurposing an AI.
00:06:37.882 --> 00:06:50.528
So I put together slides and prompts to show them how they can repurpose their content super easily using tools like Opus, canva, capcut.
00:06:50.528 --> 00:07:00.305
And then I taught them ChatGPT prompts to help them come up with content ideas and repurpose the content that they've created.
00:07:00.305 --> 00:07:18.701
Last things last, I put together a comprehensive workbook that they would be able to use, and it is broken down by season, so each will have four groups working on content creation for their season.
00:07:18.701 --> 00:07:22.928
So every group will have all four seasons.
00:07:22.928 --> 00:07:30.005
By the end of the four hours they will have an entire year of content created for their group.
00:07:30.005 --> 00:07:36.315
It should be amazing and so beneficial they won't have to think about content again.
00:07:37.259 --> 00:07:41.288
So that is the behind the scenes of my workshop.
00:07:41.288 --> 00:07:47.622
If you have questions, go down and to the fan mail and send me a message.
00:07:47.622 --> 00:07:51.067
I am happy, happy, happy to answer it for you.
00:07:51.067 --> 00:07:55.173
Okay, bye, be happy to answer it for you, okay bye.
