’ve dreamt of writing a book for over a decade, and I still have to pinch myself that it’s actually happening now!
I was actually at an event hosted by my publisher last week and it was the first time I got to say out loud “I’m an author” when people asked me why I was there (it was a party for authors, publishers and agents for some context).
As a little book update, I’m almost 70% of the way done. I’m currently working on Chapter 7 of 10 and honestly it should have been finished by now but it’s gonna need at least an extra week to get done.
But one way I like to remind myself how lucky I am to have this dream come true (as mentally exhausting as the book writing process can be) is to walk around book stores and imagine how cool it’ll be to see my book on shelves.
I’m still a ways away (it won’t come out til Jan. 2025), but hey, part of the fun is the anticipation!
