So...life insurance. Just like getting a will, it may be at the bottom of your to-do list. But here's the thing, as soon as you know you need it, get it. Don't believe me? I recently did a workshop where someone in the audience asked me what debt repayment strategy would be the best for a friend of her's. Her friend, after only being married for a short amount of time, lost her husband and was no drowning in debt because alone she couldn't afford the funeral costs, time off work, the mortgage, bills, etc...
This enormous debt burden could have all been prevented if her husband had a life insurance policy in place.
No one likes to think about when they will die, but it happens and usually unexpectedly. So the best thing you can do is to protect your loved ones with life insurance. And guess what, it's not as expensive as you think. As an example, I've got a 20-year term for a $500,000 payout and I pay $30/month. You probably spend more on Ubers every month.
In this video, I share pretty much all the key things you need to know about life insurance, such as how to know if you need it (not everyone needs it actually!), the different types (term vs. permanent), and what factors determine how much you'll pay for your premiums.
