On today’s episode of Nick and June: After The Fact, Wanda is joined by special guest and long-time friend, Pastor Steven Alston, to complete our two-part episode in which we dissect 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, the Nick and June scripture, verse by verse. But first, they discuss the history of the Corinthian Church and the significance of Margaret Atwood’s Genesis 30 reference in the first episode of the show.
Then, they deep dive into the four types of love, Storge, Philia, Eros, and Agape and describe how they relate to The Handmaid’s Tale and the Bible. Wanda also defends Nick’s character and uses examples from the four types of love to show his deep sense of care for June and his opposition to the beliefs of Gilead.

Pastor Steven Alston is a published author with a masters degree in Communications and is currently pursuing his educational doctoral degree in Biblical Leadership. He is a Persian Gulf war veteran, having served in the Navy and a Director/Associate Producer of the documentary, Return To Glory.

Pastor
Pastor Alston, is a resident of New York State, and member of St John Deliverance Tabernacle Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher and Youth Minister. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English from California State Bakersfield. A Masters Degree in Communications from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, and is currently pursuing a Educational Doctoral Degree in Biblical Leadership through Colorado Biblical University. He is a Persian Gulf War Veteran, with two Navy Commendation Medals, two Southwest Asia Medals, two National Defense Service Medal and two Meritorious Ceremonies.
He directed and was an Associate Producer for a 45 minute Documentary based on Biblical History called, “Return to Glory and Author of a thought provoking book, “The Eikons of God, Soul vs Spirit, Which one is the Real You?” The President of Information Impacting Change, and Part owner of Avia Technical International Training Academy of the Philippines.
