This guy has been crowned the next generations greatest players since before he was an Erie Otter. He was given the distinction of taking the NHL to the next century and beyond and he would restore the glory of the Edmonton Oilers and hockey in Canada. He has come up short the last 7 years of his career. Jas Connor McDavid achieved a wealth of individual awards? Yes! Yes he has but will he be remembered as a true champion if he does not bring home Lord Stanley's Cup to Edmonton? Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl right. He was and still is viewed as one of the greatest to ever play the quarterback position. He had a Hall of Fame career. I know at 25 it is difficult to view McDavid that way. He hopefully has many years of hockey in front of him and with the right cast of characters around him he has a viable chance this year. The road ahead could get rocky for this young superstar but NHL and it's front offices should be rooting for the return of the glory days for Connor and gang, he is the face that will be out front of things for years to come.
