Our guest this week on the Original Sports Podcast with Mark Maradei is sports writer Ian Kennedy. Kennedy is a resident of Erie Beach, Ontario, a fellow educator and journalist with a passion for storytelling. The founder of the Chatham-Kent Sports Network, Ian is currently a writer for The Hockey News and does analysis for Yahoo Sports. His stories have also appeared in the Globe and Mail, Chatham Voice, Outdoor Canada, NHL.com, and Canadian Horse Journal. Ian’s debut book, “On Account of Darkness: Shining Light on Race and Sport,” published by British Columbia’s Tidewater Press, is out now.
We are gonna ask Ian his thoughts on how the post-Covid full season played out and his thoughts on the Stanley Cup playoffs. We are going to get into the draft a bit and look for some predictions of possible trades and free agency moves as the NHL continues to move forward.
