This week on the Original Sports Podcast we are excited to interview Josh Brewster. Brewster is in his 15th season as host of “Duck Calls”, a radio show following Anaheim Ducks games on KLAA AM830. The show enables fans to discuss games with players, broadcasters, writers and , executives from around the hockey world. In addition to “Duck Calls” Brewster does work the NHL TV Network and Sirius/XM NHL Network radio.
Starting in 2000, Brewster produced the first web radio series focusing solely on the game of hockey, “HockeyTalk audio features” for Hockeytalk.biz and “The Western Hockey Radio Show” for the American Radio Network. He has done color commentary for Team USA at the World University Games for Fox College Sports and has also narrated programs on Animal Planet and USA Network. He has been a playwright, actor and public speaker. He has written for NHL.com, The Hockey News, The Fourth Period and NHL Digest. Brewster’s career in hockey media can be found in book “Living the Hockey Media” by Brian Kennedy.
We will talk with Josh about how things are going with the Duck’s this season, will they challenge for a playoff spot. Who has been a surprise thus far and who has been a disappointment. Josh will share with us some of his career highlights, who his team was growing up and how he sees the rest of the NHL season playing out.
