Our guest this week on the Original Sports Podcast is Rob Havenstein. Havenstein is an offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams. He was drafted by the Rams in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft after playing his college football at Wisconsin.
Havenstein played on Wisconsin's offensive line as a right tackle from 2010 through 2014 after his redshirt freshman year. He held such honors as All Big Ten 1st and 2nd team as well as being named All American by the AFCA in 2014. He was the only Badgers player invited to play in the 2015 Senior Bowl. Havenstein remains a starter on the Los Angeles Rams offensive line where he has been locked in since his rookie season in 2015 when he earned all-rookie team honors and was part of the Rams Super Bowl team in 2018.
We will talk about Rob’s journey from Wisconsin to the Los Angeles Rams. What it was like to play in the Super Bowl so early in his professional career. Who has helped in his career development as far as coaches and veteran players. His expectations for the Rams going into 2021. We will also discuss how he viewed the acquisition of Matt Stafford and what that could mean for the Rams. For our Decade Definers we will ask Rob to share the most challenging defensive players he has faced thus far at any level.
