Vicky McGrath started running a senior care business in 2016, but like many, her life changed drastically in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. With her daughter attending school online and the world in lockdown, Vicky turned to writing as a creative outlet to manage the stress of isolation. Inspired by her daughter’s love for Harry Potter and desire to become a veterinarian, Vicky wrote the first draft of Tails From the Clinic: Tom in 2021.

What began as a personal project soon blossomed into a thrilling seven-book series, offering an imaginative escape for both Vicky and her future readers. Vicky’s personal story of turning to creativity in difficult times highlights resilience in parenting, and the power of imagination.
