Is there such a thing as a good death? Is there a right to die? When is a life not worth living?  These questions and more explored in an evening with Rev Dr Gareth Sherwood

Rev Dr Gareth Sherwood is the CEO of YMCA Bournemouth, Director of DCCI, Director of Hope Place CIC and Chair of the Health Bus Trust. Gareth has a life history of working in the non-profit sector, in Christian organisations and various charity services; doing so full-time since 2007 when he ceased practising as a medical doctor after 8 years working in hospital medicine.  

Gareth has worked as a doctor, educator, public speaker, ethics advisor, youth worker, church, charity and business leader.  He remains an ordained minister in the Elim church, serves as chair of Dorset Police ethics committee, is visiting Fellow of Bournemouth University and serves on a number of other boards. Gareth has served as a director with numerous charities and non-profit organisations across the UK and has broad experience in starting and developing volunteer groups, organisations and charities.

Gareth is married with 2 children, has a deep personal faith that drives his passion for helping others and making the world a better place. In his spare time he enjoys design, photography, sports, music and learning.
