Black Ivory's "I Keep Asking You Questions" is one of the samples RZA used in making Raekwon's "Criminology." The song's creator Leroy Burgess explains how the Purple Tape changed his mind about creativity and sampling. Another QLS guest this season, David Porter, recently spoke about The Sweet Inspirations' "Why Marry," a song he co-produced—that was also used by RZA on "Criminology." Elsewhere in the full episode with Leroy Burgess, he speaks about Q-Tip seeking him out to make sure the sampling was beneficial to both parties.
