Our guest, Robbie Adler-Tapia, Ph.D., licensed Psychologist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant/Certified Therapist, will guide us through the unique challenges and stresses that firefighters face in their line of work. Dr. Adler-Tapia began her career as a firefighter and EMT, authored “One Badge-One Brain-One Life: Preventative Maintenance and Brain Health Training for Emergency Responders” and her workshop “Haunted” educates therapists on supporting emergency responders.
Currently, Dr. Adler-Tapia serves as an Employee Assistance Provider for law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency responders, and is the Founder/Clinical Director of FiRSST. As an EMDR therapy Trainer, trained by Dr. Francine Shapiro, she has delivered training since 2005 and has spoken at numerous conferences, including EMDRIA, ISST-D, ERAP, and the National Fallen Firefighters’ Foundation.
