Sometimes you have to take a risk in order to find your audience.
Don't be vanilla or safe because that is what everyone does.
It doesn't mean you have to seek controversy for controversy's sake, but let people know what you actually believe, and always be able to defend your position.
Even though a tiny minority of people might seek to discredit you (or worse), you don't need to be scared of them.
Trust yourself. Trust the process. Say something important and your audience will find YOU.
