The High Price of Refusing an Ambulance #shorts

Could refusing an Ambulance ride cost you your life?

In this clip from Episode 58 of the “Self-Funded with Spencer” podcast, Will Winters of MASA MTS describes a harrowing story from his days as an EMT.

A father was having a heart attack, but made the decision to refuse the ambulance ride because he couldn’t afford it.

After pleading with him to go to the hospital, the father ultimately refused and Will had to leave.

He was called back 30 mins later and found the man in the doorway of his home receiving CPR from his 16-year old son. Unfortunately that man lost his life.

Will laments that he couldn’t say for sure that the man would have lived if he took the ambulance to the hospital, but he certainly would have had a fighting chance.

It was this experience the drove Will to find a solution to help with the cost problem of emergency transport, which is where MASA MTS comes in.
