Have you ever spoken to someone who truly knows their purpose? Someone who knows why they are here, what their gifts are and what they are supposed to do with those gifts?
Tamaira "Miss Tee" Sandifer is that person and she is having a major impact on Southern California and beyond. In the SoCal Voices episode, "How the Arts Teach Life Skills: Dancing with Tamaira 'Miss Tee' Sandifer," she shares her amazing journey from humble beginnings. She says she "grew up hard" but found joy in dancing, and soon learned that creative expression helped her cope with challenges she faced.
In the episode, Miss Tee describes how her life experience informed her path to create Studio T Arts & Entertainment, where she teaches young people about the social and economic stability and success they can experience through dance and other arts, whether they choose to be on-stage performers or work behind-the-scenes. Many of her students have gone on to graduate from college or have become in-demand dancers in Hollywood, working with major entertainers including Rihanna, Usher, Justin Bieber and more. She has taken her curriculum throughout the state of California, working with partners in cities like Los Angeles and San Diego to show how youth who may be poor or underprivileged can become successful.
Listen to this episode, and be inspired by Miss Tee's energy, transparency and clarity of purpose. She may even motivate you to take that next important step to enhance your life, or the lives of others in your community.
