Local Legend Spreads Knowledge
I've been listening to this fantastic fishing podcast for a while now, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Hosted by a local guide(David Perry) who truly knows the ins and outs of Tennessee's fishing spots, this podcast is a treasure trove of knowledge for both novice and seasoned anglers alike. David is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to share his expertise with listeners. Whether he's answering questions from the audience or interviewing fascinating guests, there's always something new and interesting to learn. His passion for fishing is evident in every episode, and his friendly demeanor makes it feel like you're chatting with a good friend. What I love most about this podcast is the sense of community it fosters. David’s genuine enthusiasm for helping others improve their fishing skills and his willingness to share insider tips and tricks freely is truly commendable. Plus, the interviews with local fishing experts and enthusiasts add an extra layer of depth and variety to the show. If you're a fishing enthusiast in Middle Tennessee or just love fishing in general, this podcast is an absolute must-listen. Tune in and get ready to reel in some great advice, heartwarming stories, and a whole lot of fun!

Big Fan of David’s podcast
David has great episodes. I appreciate this podcast because it gives some attention to the special outdoor opportunities the South has. I especially enjoy any podcasts showcasing fishing for bass species. His episodes with Matt Lewis on Redeye Bass and Brandon Bailes for Smallmouth are my favorite, as well as other bass content is why I listen. Keep it up!

Great listen and lots of knowledge
Just stumbled upon this podcast. I can’t believe it took me this long. I actually learned something and I ain’t very smart as I spend a lot of time casting flies to tiny trouts. Plan to listen to the whole season now. So forgive the zone outlook I have. Keep it up

Awesome podcast
I have listened to a lot of fly fishing podcast and living outside Atlanta I get so tired of all the podcast talking about destinations trips. I love this podcast because as a beginner and on a budget these tips and places are close and more affordable. Absolutely love the host and the guest they make you feel like you are friends just sitting with them talking. Cannot wait for more episodes

Favorite fly fishing podcast!

Thank Cod for this Podcast
When I listen to this podcast, I never know which way the conversation is going to mend. I find myself drifting along with David and his various guests, always fish-inated with the very fin-teresting things they have to say. 10/10, don’t trout yourself, give this podcast a listen!

Great Podcast
I live in Nashville and got into fly fishing about 6 months ago. This podcast has been a wealth of great information for Tennessee fly fishing, general information, and stories that get you pumped to get back out there. I’m counting on tips from this podcast to end my 3 trip skunk streak to the Caney!

Highly Recommended
I’ve been listening to a lot of fly fishing podcasts during these crazy times, an honest person would probably say TOO many, but I have to say that Southeastern Fly with David Perry is my favorite. And I don’t even live in the Southeast. David has such a pleasant manner with his guests. They do touch on the technical side of fly fishing, but you also get to learn about the people and places that make this such a great sport. And you get to learn about the background and the history that made his guests into such well known names in fly fishing. After every episode I want to jump in my car and head for the Caney Fork or the Smoky Mountains or the Forgotten Coast. And if that isn’t enough, it’s worth the price of admission just for the Dan Sharley Whiskey River story. Classic. 5 STARS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. And don’t forget to mend!

Top notch
David is thoroughly prepared for these interviews. The pace is perfect and the content is outstanding. I’m a connoisseur of fine fishing podcasts and this is the one which I cannot wait for new content

Great Podcast
David is such a wonderful host, and so knowledgeable with the subject matter. It’s a great experience to hear him speak so enthusiastically about his love for fly fishing and the geography and culture associated with it in general.

Great podcast!
I love Southeastern Fly, and I’m excited he has a new podcast. I’m new to the sport of fly fishing and host/guide, David, has been such a great resource. I love hearing from others about how they got their start in the sport. There’s always something to learn and David presents with conversational ease. Great podcast and great guide!
