A few things….

About the Yana Hass case: I’m a recently retired teacher. The staff at Peter’s school REALLY dropped the ball. They could’ve saved Yana had they reported what little Peter told them. In the 2 states where I have taught (Illinois and Minnesota), school personnel have been mandated reporters for 30 + years. Teachers, etc. will lose their jobs as well as professional licenses if they fail to contact children’s services when abuse is suspected. I can only hope & pray that Fla. has such a law by now!
