True Crime Done Right

Erica Kelly does it right! She tells the story in a meaningful and respectful way. We learn the background of the offender and the victim to humanize them outside of the crime. She sets the stage where most podcasts demonize the offenders with bias. Erica states well-researched facts and provides listeners the full picture of the area and of those involved. She sprinkles in side notes of opinion and I often find myself saying the same thing! Erica has a smooth, smoky, Southern voice that lulls me into the world she is describing, where you can almost feel the stickiness of the humidity on your skin. I listen to a lot of podcasts, but I will always come back to Erica!
