Star Trek: Discovery’s fifth and final season has been long awaited, and now we finally have a better idea of when it will appear. Today, on a panel at Brazil’s CCXP, showrunner Michelle Paradise and star Sonequa Martin-Green announced the 10-episode final season will begin airing in April 2024 on Paramount+.
Along with the airing announcement, they previewed a new clip from the season featuring Burnham and Book, which was then posted to the Paramount Plus YouTube channel:
Before Star Trek: Discovery begins its final flight, Strange New Pod and The Duras Sisters will honor this landmark show with The Last Days of Disco Festival in March. We will be joined by other podcasts to celebrate and examine everything that made Star Trek: Discovery a worthy entry into the canon of Star Trek.
We will provide more information on The Last Days of Disco Festival as we get closer to the event. But we look forward to looking back at the show that brought Star Trek back to our screens.
