Best Star Trek Podcast Ever
I’ve been watching Star Trek since I was 12 years old – I’m 63 now. I have never enjoyed hearing people discuss the show as much as I enjoy the wonderful team at Strange New Pod.The SN Podcasters have incredible chemistry, are sharp, creative, insightful and kind. they’re very inclusive of their viewers.Listening to their podcast is like getting out with friends.I hope that they will be around for a long time.

Great show
My go to listen each week. I love the diverse opinions and the way it makes me consider aspects of my favorite shows from people with different backgrounds than myself. The different voices have challenged me, which is amazing, and we all agree in our love for Star Trek. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Also- ALL the commentators are amazing! Don’t let the stupid reviewers discourage you from bringing your commentary to us.

Good podcast, but not for innocent ears
I’m a regular listener and I look forward to each new episode of Strange New Pod. Everyone usually has an interesting take on the ST episode of the week.
I don’t consider myself a prude (though y’all can call me one if you like), and I know everyone on the pod is an adult and can say what they want, but there is WAY too much profanity in your casual conversation. You throw out f-bombs to the point of absurdity, like your brains can’t possibly think of any other adjectives to use. It’s too much — your opinions are colored with “f-ing” this and “f-ing” that … it really dumbs down the discourse and distracts from the intelligent ideas you have about Star Trek.
Giraffe is the most consistently profane, and on top of that, she’s too negatively opinionated about SNW and DISCO. She doesn’t need to be so contrary all the time. Why does she watch if she dislikes it so much? She’s the least entertaining of the podcast commentators.

Good natured Star Trek banter
I love hearing the SNP crew’s banter. It’s wonderful how they all love trek but still have respect for each other’s different opinions on specific episodes.

Amongst Friends
I discovered this podcast at the perfect time. The hosts gives an honest review of each episode they watch and are all the better for having a variety of viewpoints! I’m never bored and I always feel like I am amongst friends!

SNP is more than just a another Pod, its a Community!
I joined SNP 9 months ago as a Patron and I’m so glad I did. The weekly YouTube conversations are engaging and fun - as well as the Discord chat that really knits the Pod together as a community. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several of the hosts as well as other patrons in person and they’re all just wonderful folks.

The Best of the best
I’m a regular podcast listener and SNP is by far my favorite. The reviews are top notch as is the community that has grown up around the podcast. Always insightful and thoughtful, these folks are true fans of Star Trek without being blind to its faults.
My favorite Trek Podcast!
One of the smartest and friendliest Trek podcasts I've had the pleasure of listening to. The hosts have created a real community, and you can join in as suits your preferences, but if you do, you will find a "family" of fellow Trekkies, Trekkers and sci-fi fans. I look forward to their reviews, analyses, and hangouts and special pods and watch-alongs. A fantastic group of true Trek fans (each with their fave show/film/universe) of all kinds. Come join the fun!
Not just a Podcast!
I'll admit I'm not the most avid listener of podcasts. However, when a show goes beyond just being a discussion but is a familiar chat among friends, not just the hosts, I can't help but tune in. Strange New Pod not only covers Star Trek New and old in a fun, engaging format with diverse perspectives but also engages its listeners, cleverly named the collective! Between polls, chats, and live Zoom events you are not just a listener, you are part of the show, and the hosts work hard to integrate the collective into the fiber of this podcast! Because of this, I attend the live recordings as much as I can and participate in the chat, or catch up the day after and still feel included in the conversation through the many ways to contribute outside of the live commentary! I'd give 10 stars if I could to this wonderful show hosted by some of the kindest folks this side of the alpha quadrant. LLAP!

The Star Trek podcast Strange New Pod, is truly what Gene Roddenberry invisioned 57 years ago. Not every episode or series is the best, but Julian, Erik, Hawk, Girafe and Emcee find the best in even the worst of episodes. If you have an hour or two every week to spend talking trek (or listening to them talk Trek) then it is truly the best hour of the week. Also if you are on Discord or Facebook, they have communities there to discuss with an ever growing collective, be sure to check them out. Live Logs and Proper.

An Example of Positive Fandom
Found this podcast when the co-host of another Star Trek podcast guested on it. Since then I've been tuning in live when I can, and listening later when I can't. "Captain" Julian runs a tight ship with a fun crew, and the live chat on the live stream on Twitch is always hilarious and occasionally illuminating. Patrons on Patreon get to join the Discord server where the conversations and watch parties happen. Highly recommend!

A Fun, Informative, and Positive Podcast!
Every episode I've listened to is like hanging out with some of my fellow Trekkies. I listen, smile and laugh along, and on occasion learn something new about my favorite franchise. The hosts are a warm, personable group whose love and affection for Star Trek always shines through. Even when they critique something about an episode of film, it's done in a positive way. Podcasts like SNP are a great example of positive fandom, and a great way to spend a spare hour or two. I've been a proud supporter of SNP since day one, and will be through the 32nd century and beyond!
The fun will now commence
Always a fun and engaging discussion to listen to. The crew really takes the time to interact with listeners.

Strangely Soothing
What a great podcast! Great group of folks. They have so much fun, and we get the good and not-so-good of each episode, with differing viewpoints and neat guests.

I discovered Strange New Pod in November 2021. I was a stranger to them & Discord. They were welcoming, gladly helpful & best of all, fun!
There is unending discussion of varying theories & opinions and lots of joking & laughter - all for the love of Star Trek. What could be better?
The podcast itself is well led by Julian who has an obvious creative gift. The other hosts (number varies week to week), including Julian, are highly knowledgeable of Star Trek lore. They are able to tie in even some of the most obscure & forgotten details of past shows to lend depth & understanding to the current shows.
The shows are insightful, enjoyable, funny and friendly. Generally it is a good time every single week.
This lifelong Trek nerd gives a hearty thumbs up!

Strange new pod is by far the best Star Trek show that I have found in 2021. The hosts truly love what they are talking about and if there is something they don’t like well they won’t sugarcoat it but you can tell with all 6 hosts that Star Trek is their passion. To the creator: Mr Julian Brown I am so happy I found your show and to the others Live Long and Prosper and I will see you shortly. Love you all!

Strange New Pod is a weekly podcast that I found thanks to a close friend who recommended it since they know I have been listening to Star Trek Podcasts since 2013! If you are wanting to watch the recording live they give you the option to join them on Twitch, but if you miss the show it will be downloaded to your PADD before you wake up the next morning! I have only been listening since Febuary 2021 but I consider Strange New Pod to be in my top 3 Star Trek podcasts ever! But don't take my word for it, join us on Twitch and see for yourself!!

I have been listening and interacting with this podcast for about a year now (specifically since their episode on Discovery, 'People of Earth'), and it has been a delight, particularly for helping to get through the existential hell that is this pandemic.
All of the hosts are charismatic and engaging, yet also diverse and not monolithic in their opinions on the franchise.
Even in discussions of films, episodes, or events that they personally may not love or agree upon, the podcast always maintains a wonderful sense of optimism regardless. And I enjoy that. What could be more emblematic of Trek as a whole?

The heart of Trek
ASNP features hosts which, in my humble opinion, reflect the best of Star Trek and its ideals. The hosts have such an amazing dynamic which makes their hot takes on Trek feel like you're sitting next to them as they discuss everything Trek. Also the puns..so many fantastic puns 😆
