Oh, hi guys.
Grass.
This poutine.
It's freaking amazing. It is so good.

It's not toilet plume soup but it's poutine.

I made it exactly how Eric told me to cheese curd brown gravy.

Nothing fancy.

We didn't make it or anything and just crispy frozen fries.

I know the frozen fries part is probably a bit sacrilegious.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

No, I'm gonna be eating this throughout the night.

I will meet my mike the rest of the time, but I can't let it go to waste.

It is delicious.

This is the Canadian episode.

Welcome to another edition of Strange Du Pod.

I am your United Fleet.

Admiral Julian Brown alongside the best bridge crew this side of a secret bunker in Vermont.

That's uh there in case uh the no money socialist utopia thing turns upside down a bit thing bad because you know, no money.

Um Commander Hawk is here and don't ask him where he got that brand bronze candlestick from Captain Draff is here and uh her PLO meek soup brings all the

Vulcans to the learning pod and logically it's better than yours. It's the best one you've done so far.
Thank you.
Thank you.

And finally Lieutenant Commander MC is here and don't ask her about her two collection because she doesn't have one.

Welcome back and welcome aboard. How are we doing guys?
How we been?
We've been good, little warm.

I'm sure the rest of you are here 96 degrees. I'm fine, fine.
This is fine.
This is fine.

I messaged Draff.
This is the, this is the first time.

Not one, not the first time, but one of the first times I've come back from San Diego and I'm like, I really don't want to be home.

We had fun.
We had a good time.
We went to Disneyland together.
That was cool.
We built light Sabers.
Um We went on the best ride at a theme park ever created.

That was also fun.

The rise of the resistance, the worth, the wait and the breaking down.

So, you know, uh it was great.

It was fun.

Um But we are back, the week off was nice but not bullshitting.

You guys missed you bunches.

I love podcasting.

That's why we're doing three shows this week.

Um Vice Admiral Eric, he's not on our view screen, part of the Canadian contingent not here to do the Canadian episode.

He's doing one of the finest Canadian things you could do and he's camping in the fine Canadian wilderness.

So he will be with us tomorrow.

I think he said it's gonna be tight.

It's gonna be tight.

We'll see we'll see we're recording too much this week.

We are recording too much.

I'm a, um, well, we, it's funny you should mention that we're getting a raise.

Well, we can't talk about it quite yet, but there was a meeting with a certain company and, um, we'll have more details on that very, very soon.

But yes, there was such a, that's what I'm here to do. That's what I'm here to do.
Folks.
Let's get into it this week.

Get in bitches.

We're going back in time to Toronto. That is right.

What happens when a dying time agent shows up on the enterprise and asks lean to complete his mission.

How does she wind up with the company of Captain Kirk who's in command of the enterprise?

That's right.

Do sparks fly spoilers.

They do.

What two major discoveries do they make while back in present-day, Canada?

And what happens when the on literally comes face to face with the legacy of her Khan or her?

No sing name?
We break it all down.
But first Hawk, it's back to you, buddy.
We need to thank our ready room level patrons and above.

So we would like to thank Simon Stager, Jeff Reeve, Mariah Gossett, the Lula Jen Stein Tian Alexander, Joe Sapio, Noy Santos Ka Wei Theo, Nomo, Kara Kennedy Fernanda, Nogales SMK, Laura Linderman Colin Davidson, Alan Davis, Jess Co Michael Graham Emily and Travis Gilda Cassie, the homework stealing Vulcan Maggie Light Spa Wayne.

Ritz Sco of Arc Sean, Jay Howard Mahala, UAA Matt Harker, Joshua Lewis, Dave Wood Willett Tara Pollen Slope 74 rude parakeet, Joshua Miller, Adam Sanders, Ari Spin lanky guy.

Cynthia Markey Aaron Voke Carl Angola Michael K TJ Mir and Caitlin Elizabeth, Dean Jim mcmahon, the Chief Ernesto Cas Cassania.

I hope I got that right. You got it.
I did.

And our newest collective member, Sadao, 317. Thank you to everyone who Yeah, awesome.

You guys rock also a special uh big shout out to our executive producers, Commander Chris Simon Steger and the Chief Ernesto Castan.

You guys freaking rock.

Um We have some news, we have some news.

Let's get into some news, the table read.

Yes, it is finally happening.

It was gonna happen in San Diego.

There was just not enough time, sorry guys as these things go.

Um And maybe there was enough time but I was getting sunburn all week.

So uh I enjoyed vacation but it is this Saturday and we are doing um What are we doing?

Thank you.

That one star Trek Prodigy.

This is what happens when I have all the moving pieces in front of me.

Zoom O BS.

You guys.

Yes.

Uh We are doing all the world to stage.

We are gonna draw names.

I said I put fried on the outline, but I'm actually gonna do it tonight and surprise all of you on the pod tomorrow night.

So uh and no one can accuse me of, of, of staging a request. Can I not do all the bridge crew?

Uh No, you will not do all the bridge crew this time. I promise.

Well, I don't promise because I can't promise those things, but I will make an effort not to draw your name for all of the bridge crew.

Um That'll be fun.
I believe we drew our winner from um Patreon.
I will get in contact with you.
Let me know I will draw someone else if you're not comfortable. I think I messaged you already.
If not, I'll message you tonight or tomorrow.

Uh Comic Con Comic Con in a couple of weeks, bit up in the air with all the studios not showing up, but that is in a couple of weeks draft and MC, you're going to be there, what's going on.

I know you can't talk about your panels yet, but what's going on? The panels are gonna be released tomorrow.
So we're gonna be able to talk about tomorrow.
And um, yeah, we don't know what's going on.

I will be there.
And uh that's as far as I know so far.

Yeah, I'll be there on panels and cosplay as usual, but we don't know what's going on with all the studios.

Not marvel is coming apparently.
And uh yeah, well, finally not that it helps us at all.

But uh yeah, so, yeah, we, we don't know, but we'll be here come say hi, we'll have, we have, um, and, uh, yeah, I think if you just yell giraffe through the Convention center, I'm going to be the only one answering.

So, I mean, I hope so.

A guy in a giant, like, you know, like giraffe from Toys R US costume going around Toys R US is making a comeback.

So you never know.

So maybe they'll answer.

But yeah, hopefully his Christian name is Jeff, I believe.

Uh, yes it is.

Jeffrey Jeffrey, the Draff.

Jeffrey the draft.

I don't think he goes by Jeff.

I think it's like the full on Jeffrey as long as it's not Joffrey because that I feel we already had this conversation.

No, I mean, I think somebody already told me his name was Jeffrey and I willfully ignored it and forgot about it.

Um Michael Kwan would like to remind us that Chrissie Chong's second single drops on Friday.

So that's cool.

I'll also tease nothing guaranteed and giraffe will kill me if I even go into any little details, but there's going to be another patron thing, possibly coming up for you guys.

So I need to go to meeting, we're having, we're having meetings, but I like, I like teasing things in advance.

Oh, yeah, if it happens, it's pretty cool and it's gonna be a once in a lifetime opportunity, let's say like that.

Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
But uh yeah, well, maybe we'll have more news next week.

That'd be awesome.

Hopefully next week, uh, Eric Summers is asking when we're going to see again on stranger worlds.

I hope this season we need in like every episode. Honestly, I'm here for dogs.
Always.
Um, every ship needs to have some sort of animal on it. Don't remind that to Archer, please.

Hey, at least Porthos was a kind dog unlike the captain that committed genocide. Don't at me.
Um, should we, should we strange do loop?
I give an opportunity for the chat to attack me on that one.

Let's do the strange do loop.
So today's question, I'm getting some flak for this one.

Apparently, if someone from another time and yes, I had to put this apprentices, you knew time travel was a thing came to uh to you and said the timeline is broken and we need to fix it.

Would you go along with it and try to pre or try to preserve the one you're in?

Um And again, I'm not saying that like it's our horrible shitty like the world is burning timeline.

I'm thinking more in Star Trek.
But if you want to talk about it being this timeline, you can, I don't care. I mean, yeah, our timeline is broken.
It is.
Did you read my notes?

I did, I did uh I, I'll redress parentheses because it's good. I really love that.

You're asking the question while we are watching a billionaire destroy a social media uh live.

We're watching it live and she called me bold. It is bold.
It is bold.
So uh who wants to take this one and chat? Let us know your answers too.

I mean, like, I um if somebody were to come back, like to me right now and be like this timeline is broken, we need to fix it.

I would say I know let's do it.

I I'll ask broken how because like maybe somebody is like, you know, like in my time, like, come from like a old fascist timeline and it freaked out about our timeline.

He mentioned the mirror verse comes so, like, for them, our timeline is broken, right? Or something like this.
I'm like broken house broken.
How, tell me, tell me how, how you think it's broken, then I'll make an educated guess. Ok.

Has a point.
Yeah.
Always be down for like some uh time travel.
I think that'd be fun.
And another thing, sorry.
Um Due to my past endeavors, um people would always ask me because I was, you

know, studying RG.

Um, would you, ah, that'd be so cool.

Would you want like to go back and like, visit these times?

And I'm like, no, absolutely not.

There was no vaccination, no education.

No, you, you know, human rights, you were only living quite ok.

If you were like super rich, you had no running water, no electricity, the cold could take you out.

I'll go, I'll go for a weekend camping.
But that's all I'm going to do is, yeah, we don't need the Oregon trail. Right.
Everything most, probably a lot also, you know, like no oral hygiene or so. Yeah.
Depends where in the timeline also.
Where, where are we going back?
That's another good question.
I have many questions.
Yeah.
Uh, pretty much the same.
It depends on the stakes.
Right.

Because, and you also have to keep in mind that, you know, you go back and you fix something and that time has a way of pushing back and correcting your correction, doesn't it?

So, you know, you go back and you kill baby Hitler and that, well, you know, it's literally

this episode, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, exactly.

Well, what happens when you know his neighbor Gustave takes over, you know, the role instead that's actually the plot of, that's actually the plot of a Twilight zone episode.

The one from like the early two thousands.

They, they, they kill baby Hitler but they replace Hitler with the a with, you know, with a, like this was always supposed to happen and then this was actually Hitler because the baby that got replaced.

Ok.
There you go.

I mean, like, you know what happens if baby Gustav wins the war River song would kill me for spoilers, spoilers.

But I'll say it anyway.

She kills Hitler in doctor who and it fucks everything.

Yeah.

Oh River, we love you so much.

She tried to kill her.

Don't think that she, that's right.

She was going, she was going to kill Hitler.

That was a great episode of doctor who, by the way, uh, over in the chats of good answers, Michael Conray, I still like the meme.

But what if time travelers did try to fix our timeline and this is the best that they could do. Which is absolutely, I agree with what I was saying.
It's like, listen, it's, we're living in the best times, believe me, like there's never been a

time where, where humanity was educated, this rich, these healthy uh these um well fed like I know we're lucky compared to, you know, a lot of people on earth.

But like compared to the past, believe me bank vaccine and modern medicine for real, a lot of us would not be here, not have child.

Like I don't know, I'm allowed to wear pants and vote and vote. Um Tara writes.
Can you ever really quote fix a timeline?
Uh I think Star Trek proves to us a lot that you can and you can't. It's a mixed bag.

Um Jim MC, if someone asked me how to fix a timeline, I'd say go talk to Loki also a great answer.

Um Yeah, and, and I'm gonna say I agree with mostly everything draft says like this is despite, you know, shit going on, especially in the United States right now with the Supreme Court and other factors and the fact that somehow someone who's committed all these crimes still hasn't been put in jail.

Um, the only thing that, like, I feel like the timeline, our timeline started to shift when Prince and David Bowie died and 16 was a bad day.

20 16.
I feel like I'd maybe go back to 2016 and find a way to not let them die.

But then I go back to, uh, that episode of, uh of 12 monkeys and where, um uh what's his Ethan tries to go back and back and back and back and save his love.

But he can't.

It is a fixed point in time and maybe Prince of David Bowie or fixed points in time event.

It is, it is a canon event right out of the spider.

The, what the, what if episode of do with three comic book movies and television shows that have dealt with this the last two years?

Yeah, exactly.
So, um, all good answers.

A great strange new loop. Thanks for calling me Bold. Let's get into this guys. Take it off with the lou. That's right.

The episode opens up with, on going through the rigors of being the chief security officer on board the Enterprise, including a fun bit with Commander Pea.

She also uh she spars with a and she seems to be having issues coping with uh who she is after it all kind of came back up right during un's trial a lot of feelings being asked about her lineage.

What do we think about this, this opener of, you know, just the the rigors of being chief security dealing with all of Paley's stolen shit and just on being on draft.

All right.
Is it stolen shit though?
Is it no statute of limitations is up?
No.
Well, that, that, that um painting that the lou wants has been stolen in the nineties. So I don't know, it's still unknown.
Like we don't know where it is.
So if you have it, bring it back to the lou.
Um No, I love II, I love it.
I love her with subtitles even more.
Um Yeah.
Um I know it's thick, it's thick.
I was like, oh, that's what she was saying.

OK.

Um I love seeing LA job because you know, you, you, you know, it's, that's really the daily job she's handling and I have to say that um Spock saying even Peck saying vigorously leaves Renfrew in my head.

I was like, I will practice less vigorously.
I'm like, oh, but we're done.
Thank you, Jeff.
What is he actually saying when he says that? What is he actually saying when he says that? Yeah, give me like a bad ad lib.

What is he actually saying?

And I don't understand the question because like anybody like would be really pissed and like, that's his way of being pissed off, right?

Is that his way of saying like, fuck off I'll play my music as loud as I want. I was making a sexual joke but sure uh whatever.
I'm sorry, I have to explain that to you over the head.
Yeah, MC got it.

I absolutely did.
Thank you.
Yeah, I'm just cluing into it now.
Oh my God, you guys, it's uh Chad help me please like, yeah, thank you MC. I can make a comment right now and um yeah, he and Chris got mine.
I was being funny too.
Thank you, Chris over the head.
Oh my God.

OK.
It's gonna be one of those.
That's why, that's why sexual orientation is not a choice.
You know, this is how you're born because men are fucking clueless. Like that's what I have to deal with every day.
He's playing vigorously except thank you, Eric.
I got it.
Thank you.
Thank you.
See MC got it right away.
Um Did you have was a mostly female cast?
Thank you.
OK.
So that was my Yeah, that was it.
Sorry.
You missed a joke, man.
The audacity of man, MC.
Love you.
OK.
I'm gonna go back to eating my fries now.
Yes, that long.
No, no, don't try it anymore.
The sheep, that ship has sailed.

It's gone. OK.

So still on this box scene um seeing Ethan Peck in a very comfortable uh bathrobe makes me so ridiculously happy, especially because basically every single Spock fan I read when he's in his quarters, he's all in like proper Vulcan attire and this, he's just like, now it's chilling out and like, like comfy bathrobe and little jammers, like, love it.

Um, is, um, everything I wish they had more for her to do.

Uh, because, you know, she comes like, she, like, I love her in this episode but she doesn't really do much other than, you know, you know, be kind of quirky and awesome.

But yeah, no, I love her, you know, betting on this whole communist utopia. No money thing.
Uh, not work it out.
Her having a bunker in Vermont is just the most like accurate thing.

Like everybody should have a bunker in Vermont.
If you could afford one, everybody's agreeing that vigorously was very sexual. Thank you the chap and it was very, very sexual.
Oh my God.
Like, I don't know.
I feel like I should be praised with not thinking with my dick all the time.
I don't know.
Yeah, I know.
I'm sorry.
Did you, did you not hear Ethan Peck?
Say the word vigorously.
I'd be dead.

I'd be dead.
I'd be like a, a on the floor my plate.
I'm dude, I'm a and I still like was all about it.
So men men ouch.
Um Oh, strange new pot, ladies and gentlemen.

Oh, God, I loved all these, especially Leon's Day, you know, in the montage of it and that, you know, security work may seem like it's glamorous and that, but it's mainly just diffusing, squabbles, confiscating contraband and answering noise complaints.

Uh, and I also like Kale Spock asking, may I ask who made the complaint against me anonymous?

That's just who I know who it was. It was, it was Chief Kyle.
I think he's still around.
Can't say anything.

Um, it was Kyle.
It, I'm telling you, it's done herself.
You think a lot of Share Corridor?
Oh, yeah, because who's going to be? It's an officer, right?
Because it's an officer deck.
So it has to be an officer.
Sam.
It's Sam.
Kirk.
Sam's possible.

I was actually wondering, uh, there's a couple other possibilities.

It could be una because, you know, as an ally, um, enhanced abilities, maybe enhanced hearing or it could be a group also.

They have the thing about together.

Well, I mean, there's, there's a difference between singing together and listening to some guy vigorously play his kara, uh, in the movie vigorously.

I like that, like playing your instrument vigorously is such a sexual innuendo. And people are still like, I don't see it.

I like that, uh, Silver Metal Tavern Matt who's assistant editor on this episode is like, I know who it was.

That is cheating.
So, you know, it was, that is cheating.
Um, by the way, is anybody, right?
And that's a good question.
Is anybody right?
I want to know the answer.
I think I can announce this because he got the, ok.
And, um, he was supposed to be on this episode.
Anyway, Matt and his main editor, we were supposed to be on this episode. Uh, it took a while to get all the pieces in place so it didn't work out.
But, but we are gonna have them on for episode 206.
So that'll be fun.
Um, but still you can't cheat in the chat.
Matt.
We want to know who it was.

We don't know who it was, it was one of us or at least a lineup. Um, Hawk, were you done?
We keep interrupting.
No, that's how the show goes.

We haven't talked really much about the boxing scene, did we with, um, and this has got to be Leon's only form of escape, right?

She doesn't medicate.

I don't think she drinks.

Um, she obviously doesn't really like date much from that.

Um, so, like, you know, and this is her only outfit for all that conflict that are going on in her head.

You know, we can think of her childhood and her survival of the gorn the scorn of the family name and that, and then like, you know, obviously dealing with everything insecurity.

This is like her only form of escape.
And I did, I love the scene.
Um I like seeing how tough even as, as tough and skilled a fighter she is.

And that like, and Bega was, you know, still kind of besting her at every turn and that, but she's got like, a boxer's heart and she doesn't, she doesn't relent and she kind of waits for that opportunity as we see it a little bit later.

Uh, and that's about, yeah, that's about all I got saved on this. So, what you're saying is, needs to get laid vigorously. Vigorous.
I feel there's a t-shirt coming up.

Ok.
You know that even Peck wears like all this stupid T shirt that people give him.

Oh my God, you make vigorously, I'll do it tonight. I'll give it to him at fan Expo.
Fuck.
Yes, like yeah.

Oh yeah, just vigorously dot That's all do.

Oh yeah, these dots needs to get a uh I like it.

Well, it almost happens in this episode.

I mean, come on.

Um I really, I really like this episode.

I mean this, this scene with especially um I just fucking adore Carol Kane.

Um Again, I've said this 1000 times.

I wasn't like ever super duper attached to hammer but um I was still worried like, oh man, like here's this another chief engineer but she is like stolen my heart.

I, I love that she has all of this stuff from, you know, like the 19 hundreds and two thousands.

And um the lou keeps calling her because she's a pack rat and the Louv keeps calling her and I just adore that like the Louver is keeping records on Pale.

Think about that.

They know where she is.

Ok?

The lou is the French government, the French government is not calling anything for anybody.

Believe me.
I don't even know where my taxes are.
Like, dude, they got a lot to deal with right now.

Yeah, exactly.

Um, I'm glad I'm glad that they, uh, after the war there's like Starfleet issue bat in the training room, by the way, someone mentioned that a few days ago.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, totally makes sense.

But, uh, the vigorous lute playing was uh I love that.

I love that scene even if that went over my head.

Um I apologize, I apologize for you.

This was awesome.

II I, you know, like these are like the little scenes of Star Trek that you like to get and you could really only do these when you have episodic episodes, right?

Like if you're, if you're doing something serialized, you really have to like just continue the story, but we get to see her doing her job, which is really cool.

And I like that.

Um One thing that I really like is uh this this upcoming scene because we get so many throwbacks to to so many other shows while she's walking the corridors after doing her round a time aging comes through a portal wounded by a gunshot and he tells the to complete his mission, right?

And get to the bridge, pulling out a device that has a similar display that we've seen on ships in Voyager and on Enterprise when he dies.

We get that cool time shift effect, right?

Like something has changed in the timeline and la on foot on the bridge, she's greeted, not by Captain Pike, but Captain James T.

Kirk of the United Earthship Enterprise.
What do we think about seeing time agents again? Because when this happened, I was like, let's go.

Uh and, and this, this certain way of bringing Kirk back draft.

I love that.

I am here for Time Agent.

I'm a sucker for these plotlines especially um I mean, not like random like time shenanigan but like Time Agent.

I want to know more like, ah, it was my favorite episodes in Voyager.
I loved it in um yeah, in Voyager like relativity and all this.
Oh my God.
And actually the screen shot that is behind Hawk, what we saw is from Relativity. Yes, it is.

And that's so cool because, you know, I was so sad in Pecot season two where they had like a wool as Time agent and they didn't and he was not a time agent and I was like, why?

That was the big one of the biggest let downs of season two of how do you hire him and not have him, not be him and it would be good and then it would be matching the plot also, which was like, we were all expecting it.

So anyway, I was so glad to see a Time Agent.

I love the scene and like, when like you see all like the timeline changing.

This is so cool, like, you know, behind her.

Um And when she gets to the bridge, listen, I, I'm, I'm not here for Kirk but Paula Wesley, he is doing an awesome job.

He is.

He really is.

Oh my God.

He cracks me up so much the way he turns in the chair and like, and Warrior, what are you doing on my ship?

Was like so Shatner.

So Kirk.
So it was perfect delivery, the mug everything um chair, it was, it was great. It was so awesome.

Like even when he turns on the chair for a minute, I forgot for a minute now for a fraction of second, I forgot that it was supposed to be pike because he was so T os you know that it was just like, oh yeah, that Kirk and I was like, oh wait, Kirk.

So yeah.

No, it was, it was great.

Don't, don't, don't uh don't forget to talk about aura's amazing.

Side eye.

Oh my God, bombastic side eye.

This is uh yeah.

Um And there would be more side eyes.

There are so many side eyes.

She is good at the side eye MC at the chat, right?

This episode is just another citation in Kirk's extensive DT I file.

Dude.

I'm not lying at all.

No, it has to be right.

But, but, but the thing is, but but is it, it's still Jim Kirk, right?

Like Kirk but, but the thing is like, I, I don't like how do the um the files work for the time?

Like they must, they are well reported for sure.

So one of his version was involved, I would say that under the main Jim Kirk file, there's like an asterisk that says Jim Kirk also somehow found his way into time shenanigans.

Well, hey, we, uh we really need to do something about this guy and report.

I mean, if you think about it, there must be multiple files for James D Kirk because like Kelvin, like timeline shenanigans, this timeline shenanigans, like there's so many different versions of Jim Kirk and they've all like done time traveled shenanigans and, but it's not fair to put them all on the same file.

It's, it's not beating Jane Way anyway.
No, no one's beating Jane, no one, no one or Chico or Harry, all of them. Just the whole, the whole Voyager crew.
Honestly.

Um that ship man, uh MC uh oh my God, time agents like, come on like um I, I love having this um in, I mean, ever since like, I think deep space time was the first time we got to any um of the time Agency.

It was in the, the trials and tribulations that they were first introduced, right?

Um For some reason I convinced Voyager but yeah, you might be, you must be right.

Yeah.

No, I I'm pretty sure it was because they did, they talk about Jim and they, they give a massive eye roll to Jim.

Yeah. Yeah.

Um, but like all of time travel, like, I mean, of all of the tropes that I complain about turning up in star trek, time travel is the word I won't complain about because let's go.

Um, and I mean, you know, uh, you know, bringing in the time agents and just how all of this, you know, bringing up all of this stuff from like, you know, like I said, Deep Space Nine and Voyager and Enterprise, like it's, you know, really tying all of the worlds together.

And um yeah, seeing Paul Wesley as Kirk, like, I mean, I know we already saw him in um uh quality of Mercy but he, he is better in like he was good in that episode.

But in this one, like he's, you know, I know Shatner is not dead yet but he was channeling Shatner like, but in the best way he was still here and then, but he's got like this wonderful Shatner.

Um which is so funny because in his sorry to interrupt you, I in, in, in the, in the ready

room, he talks about how he's actually trying really hard not to mimic because it just, it wouldn't be fair to it because he's a different actor, but he somehow pulled it off.

Right.

He's, he's not mimicking, he's just like channeling and to be honest, yeah, I could see that.

Yeah.
Um and yes, bombastic side.

I like uh as, as soon as that scene came up, I was like that Leonardo Dicaprio meme just like, I don't want to point at the, the screen too much because I might make my camera go out of focus again.

But um yeah, uh and bringing uh what, what did they call it?

Um Space Fleet or Earth Fleet?

United Earth late, which totally reminded me of like early um T OS, well, early T OS.

And if you guys remember, um, in the future when Earth leaves the Federation, they go back to being called United Earth.

So United Earth is always something that is.

Yeah, I, I thought that was also a neat, it's like another one of those uh timeline, you know, it's like, it's always trying to work another time and we're going to be talking more about that later.

Um Yeah.

No.

Love this awesome hawk.

Uh I loved it.

The whole, the whole coat Cold open was, was great, you know, as far as efficiency and what it, you know, what it did.

And then that starts out with a dreary day, then you do the turn and that, and then the character's reality just suddenly gets turned up and up on its end.

And then we're off to search for the answer.

I love that they employed the time agents and that this is a great part of the law. I'm really pleased and I like that.

The franchise as a whole doesn't overuse it, you know, so that, you know, when it, when it is used, like in these instances, it's done effectively and, and, you know, kudos for that, uh, and this was a great way of bringing Kurt back into this for another episode this season that Paul Wesley.

Yeah, he everly slips into this role.

And part of me is wondering if people's fears about this show becoming a vehicle for bringing back the original T Os crew or true.

Um, because like, you know, like he's really good in this role and that, and it's like, what, what he do about that, you know, going forward, I don't know, I do have me bones or give me death while it is a good vehicle to bring them back.

They've already taken two bites at the apple of this whole alternate timeline. Oops, Jim Kirk is here.
I think that's enough bites.
I, I hopefully iii I hope that's done too.

I agree.
Um It's time for us to get a little bit of real Jim Kirk as well. Yeah.

Um So yeah, going forward, I mean, that whole scene where he basically denies Spock help and that when their ships, when the ship is going down and then, and then Leon, like you basically try and have to explain like, you know, she doesn't know what the hell is going on.

Somebody gave me this ridiculous device.

I'm in this new timeline and that, and he approaches it like, you know, he's skeptical, but he's also not outright dismissive of it.

You know, it was all just classic Kirk and I just loved it.

Um I absolutely, I, I don't want to go too much on what you guys said because you said it perfectly.

But I will say, um I've, I've stand Paul Wesley since uh quality of Mercy.

But I mean, there was a very clear difference right between the like that performance and this performance and the minute he turns that chair, he's like, excuse me, man, I'm not to be rude, but who the hell are you?

And what are you doing on my bridge?

It's, it is, it's just Shatner and it was, it was beautiful and it was amazing.

I was like, it's the elbow on the chair.

It was just so good.

It was just so good.

Um That's all I want to say on that.

So let's get, I mean, I have to say hack bringing up Spock on the monitor.

I have to point out if we've been thirsted over Spock saying vigorously also him and leather Vulcan uniform like for real.

It was like um Bernadette, let's get to Canada. I mean MC wore her Canada shirt.

We have to get to Canada, let's do it on explains the situation to Jim in his ready room, right?

He wants to hand the devices over to engineers maybe Scottie is the engineer of that enterprise.

Who knows?

But he'd let Scottie Tinker with that shit and when he tries to grab it out of her hands, they accidentally activate it.

And we, Karen and I watched this a few times and pondered over who pressed it. They both pressed it.
Um, he inadvertently made her press it so it was a, they both fucked up kind of deal. No one should have had their hand on the button but they did.

Um Did they know it was a button? I think Law knew is a button.
I don't think Jim knew was a button.

Um So they accidentally activated and wind up in present day Toronto, which funny enough, Jim thinks is New York City, which is, which is a joke because they even talk about in the Ready Room.

Ava and Henry Alonzo Myers were like, yeah, we were actually going to film this episode in New York and logistically we couldn't make it work.

So there's your joke.

Um And they also, it's really cool that like there's so many people who work on the show who are Canadian and get to like finally have Canada and Toronto represented, I just want to point that out because they pointed out in the room.

I was like, oh yeah, that's really fucking cool.

So hats off to all the Canadian filmmakers and William, I guess, I guess.

Uh I guess.

Um so we learned that Jim's Earth, right is in ruins and he's never been there.

He was born on the US S Iowa which, you know, again, history having a way of writing itself.

Still born in Iowa.

Um, we get the clothing scene where it remind me you too, where it's filmed again, it's very popular at the Eaton Center.

Yeah. Yeah.

Um, where they laughably match until Jim changes into something more a little rugged and Jim Kirk eats the eye candy and eats the hell out of the eye candy.

I was like, let's go, girl.
Oh, oh, realize that they can't steal their way through the friendliest place on earth.

Uh Coke, Coke Kirk shows us why he's a chess shark. Yes, he is a chess shark.

We see him play chess a lot against Spock and T Os and makes uh some much needed cash though if it was enough is up for debate.

But we have reasons why they got away with so much.

Um What do we think about these couple of scenes like the arrival in the chest draft, the comedy of it?

So it's funny because I watched the season maybe three or four times now and every time it's funnier.

Every time I catch a dumb thing that does that me up like the way he says I'm from, I'm from space.

I can't like the revolving door.

This is so dumb and at the same time it is so hilarious because I'm sure they had to do it like 15,000 times until they got the exact like movement of the door.

But it's, it's perfect.
Kirk again.
It's like everything.
It's Kirk that like no shit, but somehow it doesn't because why not?
Like I was convinced that he was pulling a lot of out of his butt all the time. I'm even more convinced now.

Um I think that it's super funny that he's just like weeping people out at chess.

It gave like Carbon Creek with the Vulcan shocking their way through the through Pennsylvania with po po bedding.

Um No, it, it, it was really, really funny, the close thing, the everything, it's so subtle and um and I think it builds the character because is so, you know, serious and into the thing and being with Kirk was like, well, he's into it also, but he's like, you know, goofing around like her by herself would have been a totally different story and it's very like a buddy cop comedy kind of.

But uh yeah, they're pressing the button at, at the, at the beginning.

I was like, oh, that's a big like, you know, it's a, it's a bit but then they laid into that like physical comedy and that like, you know, it's very well done.

That's the other thing is Paul Wes, he is very good at this kind of like subtle physical moves and make it funny all that while smiling, like, you know, he invented like everything.

No, it, it was, it was great scenes and um I want to know how much you can make by playing chess.

Well, I'm Yum Yum pod has that question too.

Who knew that chess was such a high earning game?

And, and then Bob R did they?

Uh No, not Bob, sorry.

Um masks.

Seriously.

How much money did Kirk win in chess to afford that hotel room?

I'm gonna answer this in two parts.

One watch the queen's gambit.

You can make a lot of money playing chess.

And if he was there long enough, who knows how many hours?

They're probably like, I feel like, you know, the more undefeated he gets probably people are betting more so, but honestly, yeah, double or nothing.

It's probably, it's not hard to believe that he made that money as for the hotel room, even if he didn't have enough money.

We all agree.
We talked about this in the chat.
We know that this is James T fucking Kirk, you know.

Oh he sweet, talked the front desk person at the hotel and be like, listen, this is what we have but we're here on vacation.

You seem really sweet.
Can we get a sweet?
I lost my credit card.
I gave them, man.
Anything like right now you're just like, I don't know if it's OK. Go on.

No, I grew up in, I grew up in New York City, like, like gambling for chess and like any of these games, like chess and checkers, like the shit that happens on the streets in New York, I guessing it's the same in Toronto.

People put fucking serious money down.

I'm not like saying this defend like the writing in the episode.

I thought it was good.

I thought it made sense.

I didn't have a problem with it.

I think it's, it's the kind of like silliness also that, and I, I think it was just going with the mood of the episode.

Yeah.

And, and showing that they have no clue either how much money is worth for anything because they're just like, oh my, and we have enough money for a hotel.

Like, why not?
Uh, MC?
Oh my God.
There's a lot to unpack in the scene.
Like, not in a bad way, but just for some reason, like the scene like condenses like so

much stuff that I'm like that made me think.

Uh, first of all, the whole, um, U US S Iowa I think is what it was, was totally serving doctor who the beast below where they have the, um, Starship UK.

Uh, and I love being reminded of that episode because I like that episode.

Uh, and yeah, no love on like sneaking a peek at Kirk changing because like, why wouldn't she, um, why?

And, um, yeah, and I mean, the hook like fire night it spoke, he started it, he did the whole shark scene.

Um I have a head cannon that Spock is a pool shark because um uh Vulcans like picked up pool because of the whole Carbon Creek thing.

So the, the idea of Kirk, like being a chess shark totally plays into that narrative and just like I live for it.

Uh because also um Spock's like the rebel and Jim is the nerd like this is known.
Um I want to do Louis's first office though that he played.
I know I was wondering that like he said, he said she and so I like is he talking about? Oh, that would be a, yeah, I could see una like being into chess.

Uh But the big thing that uh caught my imagination during this scene was on, you know, identifying where this place was and it's like, it's Toronto, the largest city in what used to be Canada.

And uh so um we've never had any country referred to in this way before.

Like Picard is from France, France, not what used to be known as France.

Well, French language doesn't exist anymore.

You remember like the, the language that used to be known as French or something like that?

But, but France is still like, they still identify it as France and they still identify the U as like as America.

I mean the president is in Paris. Yeah.

Yeah.
Uh So what used to be Canada and what happened to Canada?
And if, if something happened to Canada.
This might explain why we've never had a Canadian in, you know, Star Trek before.
The closest we got is Eddington in deep space nine, having a lucky looney.
And so the fandom decided it's like, oh, his family must come from Canada.
Um, but I, I really want to know, like, did it get absorbed into the United States?
Was it destroyed during, I think there's just, there's car, yeah, just like the little countries. It just like it North America, the north of the country.
I was gonna say North America is just North America now, right?
But they do still refer to different, you know, countries by their name.

Like, because, I mean, I think it's, it's less that there's no like governments for each of these places but they're just like now, geographic markers, listen, they are using Latin alphabet to communicate.

So, whatever.

Like, I think that geography and languages and mhm You get MC, I'm good.

I'm, I'm just looking up something on memory alpha now.

So, uh but no, yeah, the, this show has this great way of pivoting its tone, right?

And it can, can go from doldrums to dire to comical and back again, this episode is just like a great example of that.

Um These scenes were about building up that relationship between two characters who are pretty much without a history to each other, right?

They have no interaction.

Like, you know, not even on the show uh and it was a clever way of showing how the two of them cope, like being transported back in time with no resources of their own in this area to help them.

And it's, and like, and like MC said in that, like with Toronto and that it is amazing, like having Toronto now be like part of, of star lore, you know, and the film scenes of like showcase of the city, you know, like it, it Toronto is like a major, like, you know, world city and that, but rarely do you get to see it like ever featured prominently in major media and that and like that time lapse footage you see at the CNN tower, you know, Toronto is a major city when it's got some of the worst traffic in the entire globe.

So, you know, I want to know why they always time travel in the back alley. You will, it's pike says it in episode one of the whole series.
Why is it always an alley?
It's an alley, it's always easy but there's no back alley in Europe.

So what do they do in the transport in Europe? Under a bridge?
Under a bridge roof is not a good idea.
Yeah.

Under a bridge, under a bridge. I like it.
Ok.
Were you good up?

I'm all good dude.

Um The, the one thing that I, I am gonna say that I absolutely adore about this is when they do go back on.

Um, when they're going out of roots is, it's a, it's a throwback to the pilot again because she, she's quick and uses, you know, she uses her, like security training right in, in the pilot.

It's my neck, my neck.
Oh, I mean, my medication in this, it's put the thing. Yeah, like get the fucking point.

Um, in this, she puts the wallet in the, in the bag so the security alerts go off and they're able to walk out.

It's really cool.

Is, is it supposed to be like a little nod to the pilot?

Maybe not, but I think it is.

I think it's really cool.

That's like I, I adored that.

I love the chess.

I love the hot dogs.

Um I love that Jim Kirk is just loving hot dogs and poutine, which is now all gone.

My plate is hot dogs and sunsets, hot dogs and sunsets.

So, yeah, I, I just, I adored this and II, I loved their chemistry this entire episode.

They are so good together and I know people don't want more Jim Kirk.

I want more, Jim Kirk.

I hope we see II I want to see this relationship bud and eventually, you know, it's got to fail because we know that Carol is on the way at some point.

Or maybe, or maybe Lon's why Carol uh fucks off. I don't know.
Um things happen.
So uh let's keep going.

Anything interesting happening in the chat.
Has anyone been transported under water?
No, but they do jump into water and in darkness. Which is a brilliant scene.

I don't think anybody's been transported was transported like in air. Yeah.

Iii, I think the underwater thing doesn't happen a lot because I think the transporter is supposed to, like, guard against that.

I think what happened with Rios was because like the ship was damaged or something of the whole thing was damaged the whole season was damaged.

Um Sorry, I mean you said it not me. Oh I said it, I said it a lot.

Um the two star trying to figure out where this attack is going to take place that they are there to, you know, save or prevent from happening.

I already mentioned over some hot dogs um noticing that it must not have happened yet judging by how nice everything is and we're going to get a lot into this because in Star Trek Canon and Lore eugenics wars were supposed to happen.

But we know by from the pilot that actually had already changed. Um But yeah, everything's kind of normal how it is now.

Um And it all started uh you know, while watching him change, we talked about this a little bit already.

We noticed that loan has the uh vigorous hots for Jim Kirk.

Now you get it now I get it.

All right.

Um Almost, almost invites him to bed when they're in their fancy ass suite with that chest money.

Um, but she thinks twice about it.
What do we think about this?
I know, I know, I know.
What do we think about the building the relationship up?
I like it because, you know, there's a tendency in Star Trek to put Jim Jim Kirk with

women that have the same energy than him, you know, kind of like bubbly and like, you know, like, uh Gala we see in uh in Star Trek in the Kelvin verse.

But I do think that somebody like Jim Kirk because when you see couples, like somebody will like end up with somebody like LA was like, can you please stop?

Can you sit down, can you do not like, you know, I think they have like this perfect, like um compatibility because they're two very different person.

But at the same time they're very good at what they're doing.

And um you see that they have like this back and forth, she's not letting she interestingly, she's not letting him like, I don't know how to say that she's not being charmed by him but she is like unwillingly.

And um that's the Jim Kirk way, right?

It's not usually like, you know, you don't want it to happen, but it just kind of like he's annoying, you know, like clearly you see like he annoys her, but at the same time he's hilarious and he's so confident also that you're like, this is absolutely wrong.

It's not New York but good, good, good call.
Good.
Try.
Um, no, I think, I think it was, uh, I respect her first. Absolutely.

Like, I mean, I don't understand how, like, you can refuse Paul Wesley the, you know what, who's gonna know?

Nobody's gonna know they're gonna know, doesn't count, you're going to restore the timeline.

But I understand though, like, seriously, I understand why she doesn't because there's this war conversation that they have about like restoring the timeline that if they restore her timeline, then he's gone and he has nothing to do.

And this conversation of ethics, basically how two people that have a very small point of view on their own era are able to say that they are in the best timeline.

And I like the fact that she said, well, we still have sunset but like everything is not perfect in the Federation.

We know that for a fact.

And again, the way we see our own timeline means very personal, like, are we in the best sunlight?

I don't know.

That's why when you ask the question, I was like, yeah, I'll be asking like, why do you want to change the time?

Like, what do you want to rectify?

What, what's gone?

Um But I think they're like a perfect deal.

And um Christina Chong and Paul Wesley work really well together two very ridiculously ridiculously good looking people.

It, it, it's like not fair how good looking this entire cast is, it's just like ridiculous. Yeah.
Oh, I'm sweating MC.
Uh, ok.

So, going back to the hot dog scene.
Um, mm.
Uh, I think that, uh, Paul Wesley is incredibly charming and who is Kirk? Incredibly charming.
But what kind of fucking monster eats a hot dog with nothing on it.
There were the relish where it was some mustard, at least some come on. But still, well, I mean, he, he seemed to know what a hot dog was pretty like. Well, and I mean, like he, he, when he was said, it's like I'm going to go back. I was, I thought he was gonna say I'm gonna go back and put some on this. He just gets to get another plain ass hot dog.

Yeah.
So sorry, you're a monster for that.

I wanted them to have the same Rios reaction when they eat the food because like that's real meat and you know that they don't have real meat.

No, it's shit.

It's replicated, it's replicated protein.

So it's not real meat.

So I wanted, like I wanted something to tie it to, you know, the time traveling Picard.

But see, I know, I know that and I are from the same place because she's right.

Mustard and Sauk for me and like, dude, New York City hotdog stand, sauerkraut mustard.

I do put ketchup too. Just, just kiss.
Sorry MC.
No, it's OK.

I, I mean, it, it's, it's probably the, the Chicago and me that's like saying it's a plain hot dog but and uh them together in the hotel.

Um uh yeah, I would not have blamed on for like inviting him in but I think the writers having her not do it and having Kirk not, you know, try to go for, that was a very good choice because of course, like there is like this image of who Jim Kirk is, you know, for right or wrong.

Um You know, he did have a lot of romances in T OS.
Like he doesn't have nearly as many as people like say he does.

And certainly in the Kelvin verse, they did um by the way, feel free to count how many times I bring up the Kelvin verse, although I actually might just be part of the straight two pod drinking game at this point.

But uh yeah, they exploited that in the Kelvin verse and in this, which is um the first time we see Kirk in a situation like in, in quality of mercy, obviously not that kind of situation,

but this, they had the opportunity and it like barely even like occurs to him like they have a nice little kiss, but that's it.

Uh And, and it's more just to kind of shut her up.
So, you know, but in a nice way as opposed to some of the T Os episodes. Yeah.
A man that is that excited about the mini bar has my heart.
I mean, yes.

Uh, I mean, I think this is mostly like this is huge for lay on and that I'm, like I said earlier, these relationships I imagine are something she kind of avoids not giving her history, romantic ones.

Probably a big, no.
No, because, you know, fall in love with someone.

You also have to accept the possibility that you have to watch them be eaten by the gorn alive.

Right.

Hm.

Bringing us down the hu li babies, what?

Lizard babies eaten by Gorn and then lizard babies, lizard babies.

I guess that is true.

Uh, but the situation being in the place and time where the future is not even written, it seems to soften her a bit.

I mean, like, it's, it's interesting that she is in this place where it's like almost who she is, you know, it hasn't really happened yet and, you know, she can be, you know, the, that possibility that maybe she could be somebody else while she's there.

And, yeah, and plus she's with Jim Kirk.

I mean, like he's got this whole carefree attitude about the whole thing and that, you know, she's trying to figure out what to do next.

And he's like, oh, hot dogs mini bar, which she's the right attitude. Exactly.

But I think part of it is rubbing off on her too, you know, it's like, ok, you know, it's pretty serious but, you know, we could probably have a little fun while we're here.

You know, I'm glad they didn't really go the full, you know, like, throw them like right into a romance and that, you know, it's like, it's always just hinting at the surface and that it's like, kind of great, you know.

Um, but I'm glad they do stick to the buddy cop format. That's dr said I have to respond to the chat.

Um, so a bunch of people have been talking about the opening of the mini bar costing all of the chat, the chess winnings.

How is the hotel going to charge him?

They don't have a credit card for him.

Remember he sweet talked the front desk girl.

Yeah, and he dies.

It doesn't fucking matter.

Sorry, spoiler.

It's been a week.

It's a bit they're going back to the future after this.

So it's like you can't really trace somebody back to the future, not on the edge of forever vibes.

And I want to bring that up at the end of it too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um I have to say echoing what MC said because this is my biggest takeaway.
I wanted to go into that room so badly, but I'm really glad that not only went back

because it makes that kiss like more meaningful later in the episode.

Um Again, Jim, like it's a really good image not to have Jim Kirk after he wakes up and notices she turns the light off to go in there Right.

Like I just, I really not like, noticed that and really appreciated that about this a lot. So that's, that's, that was my take away from this um boom.
Right.
The, the bridge, they wake up to the bridge to nowhere.

They wake up after not having any sex and they're, they're chatting no vigorous sex.

Uh, Jim is having more second, not with each other is having more second thoughts about changing the time um, timeline back until an tells him a little bit about her timeline, right?

And finding out that in the prime timeline, Sam is alive and clearly Sam is not alive in his timeline.

Um So that really gets a thinking for for long murder pancakes do happen. Um Did I get it right this time?
I see murder pancakes flying, murder murder every time.
Sorry.

Uh Before he has time to think about this, the Lake Ontario bridge explodes.

They head to the wreckage and both realize that this can't be the attack that they're there to save because this happens in both of their timelines, right?

So, um, they meet a photographer who will become very much important later.

Um LA realizes that the scarring on the bridge is from a photonic bomb that's tech that's not supposed to be for another 100 years.

And uh they follow the removal of the evidence of the, the big piece of slab by Jim driving a fast car and I'm I I dress first but I know M C's got a thought about this that I share um only to get pulled over.

Lucky for them, Sarah, the photographer who believes in aliens uh helps them thoughts on all of this draft.

OK.
That's a lot. Uh It is, it is.

Uh so, uh first of all, the bridge blowing up was such a surprise um because I didn't know like they were trying to compare and contrast, like what it was going to happen, which is, again, people were discussing canon and like how, like they say that things happened in the nineties, I will take any of you onto a conversation of stuff that happened 300 years ago and then we will see how many of us get the dates, right?

Except if you're an expert or like have a weird like obsession about that time era.

But if I ask you 300 years ago in like China, what was going on?

Let's go, let's rumble.

Like they don't know, they're like talking out of their butt most of the time proven by Kirk thinking that he's in New York when he's in Toronto.

OK.

So um I like the fact that she's like, let's put on paper, everything we know about this, you know, which is very realistic.

If you were like time traveled suddenly, you'd be like, what do I know?

And when the bridge exposed, I was like, oh, well, that's it.

I thought it was easy.

So it's wondering if Kirk knew or not because I was like, how the hell did they end up in that hotel room looking that bridge that day?

Like, did he made the choice to go there?
Because he had a hunch that it was what was going to happen that put that in the chat? Maybe he's leaving.
Oh God, the chat is moving tonight guys.

Well, that was like, because like when he exposed right on their face, I was like to is a big city.

How the hell did you end up like on that hotel overlooking that bridge?

And then I'm like it may it, it's maybe like like a main event like, you know, like what started World War one?

Like we all knew like the Franz Ferdinand like assassination and is it something that he knows from that?

And that's why he chose the hotel to be like, let's make sure if it's that or not.

I found the comment.

Um Jesus Christ, I lost lucky they got a room right next to the bridge.

Well, you know, knowing Kirk that maybe he did it on purpose and I would have liked a little hint that he actually like was aware of this, like all along uh the whole thing.

I mean, you have to love Star Trek like they look at like a burn mark and like it's a photo bomb.

I was like, sure I'm with you, let's go. Um And the car chase.

It cracked me up because it was so much a piece of the action where the girl get in the car and he's like, I know how to operate that.

And this is like, no, you don't.
And he's like, yeah, and it goes up backward and it was, it was so well done.

I, I really like that little, like for me it's clearly a nod to a piece of the action with Kirk who thinks he knows how to drive when he doesn't really.

Um No, I love the, I love the, again, the subtle comedy Sprinkle over the place and yeah, that's, I don't remember.

Ok, there's a lot to unpack in the scene too.
Um OK.
First of all, uh I'm seeing a lot of bridge to nowhere for this, the whole bridge.
I believe the bridge was supposed to be to Niagara Falls.
Um Which if you look at a map of Toronto to Niagara Falls, that actually very much

makes sense.

Them, them trying to build a bridge there, it would basically cut the trip in half.

Um So I, I think maybe it was on Twitter.

I saw like a production.

Well, they said they say somewhere in the episode or like even on like one of like the headlines on the news in Toronto, it's like supposed to be somewhere in, in America.

So like Niagara Falls, New York, not Canada.
So it technically connect the two countries or something Yeah.
Iii, I mean, like Niagara Falls, it's both.
So, yeah, exactly.
So, and it's a very popular place for people to go.
So it totally makes sense that they would be building a bridge to there. Um, the mention of Sam was so good.

Uh, it is the perfect way, like, because we were talking in the strange new loop, you know, uh, you know, whoever is, you know, traveling to us would need to prove that their timeline is better and saying your brother is alive is the best thing that could convince Kirk to go to his side.

And now for Kirk stealing the car, I think that it is absolutely criminal that when he's fu around with the scar, he does not accidentally turn on the radio and have it play sabotaged by the beastie boys.

Come on criminal legend that happened when the music starts doing the car chase. I thought they were gonna boot sabotage.
I would have wanted and matching the theme of the freaking episode.
Oh, I'm not, I'm not finished bringing up Kelvin today.

So, but just to your point like when we see in the, what's the name of the flying murder pancake?

Um That's operation an operation an thank you when you see how devastated he is by

the death of his brother, like, you know, it means something for him like very, so much so.

And I have, you know, the head can and then when Spack tries to tell him, uh, and he, he, he shows him away, like, being like, yeah, I know.

It's not illogical.

I, that Spock was going to tell him about his size, his sister and losing his sister.

We watched Operation Alienation.

You'll see, you'll see him.

Right.

But, yeah, it's, it totally makes sense that it's what convinces him.

I think it's, it's beautiful that it's what convinces him, uh, same.

I mean, like, yeah, sunsets don't really mean anything to this uh timeline's Kirk.

And that because he grew up in space and that the earth being like an ash ball uh doesn't mean anything to him in that family.

That's where he, that's what trips him up.

No, it, that's how the timeline, she convinces him that that timeline is the best timeline.

So that's perfect.

That makes so much sense.

Um Where's my, where's my notes here?

Um Yeah, and the fact that they're both in the same hotel, I think that's a destiny moment, right?

Because it occurs in both their timelines and that and for, you know, from what we gather from the episode and that these events kind of keep occurring and occurring in that and somebody, you know, there was somebody there who stopped them.

So it makes sense that they, they would probably be in that hotel room at that time. And that, since this is a Destiny thing, right?

Nudge.

Nudge, nudge.

Yeah, exactly.

The only beef I had with the whole thing was the fact that they got pulled over with a stolen car with no insurance and no I DS to their names and that, and the cops.

Yeah.
I like, I mean, like, you know, Canada, we are cool.

We're cool people but like, you know, there's no cop in the world that, that, that is gonna be that cool over.

It's Star Trek.
It's the past, they don't know how it works.
Licenses nuclear weasel.
Is this your car ownership?
Jim Kirk is just that.
He's just that hot.
Yeah.
Um Yeah, I, I don't know, I got nothing.
I'm almost thinking about using the past.
You guys hit it.
Uh I really, I really like it.
II I dude, when you told me the whole sabotage thing MC, I was like, goddamn it. I wanted it to be there.
I know I wanted it to be there.
Well, apparently sabotage is too expensive.

That's why. Yeah.
Yeah, exactly. Yeah.

Music rights.
Um Yeah, I'll, I'll let you guys comments stand. They were beautiful and brilliant.

So let's move on the go to a diner with the photographer Sarah who explains all of her crazy theories until she stops out a picture and this is where is gonna give me shit for the rest of the episode of a Romulan Bird of Prey.

Yeah.

OK.

It's out there now.

Um which Jim immediately recognizes uh he realized that with Sarah's take uh talk about a Cold Fusion reactor.

This is the moment they are here to prevent as the cold fusion reactor is destroyed in his timeline, which also wipes out Toronto.

What um what do we think about the divergence in the timeline?
And giraffe Romulans, my sneaky lovely bastards.
You know.
You know, like, first of all, I was so happy because classic to of let's go. But uh it's so hilarious.

First of all, I think it's kind of stupid to I, I was super happy to see them, but that would be my minus here is that you're pulling out a big gun using the Romans for your plot, you know.

Are you sure that's where you wanna go?

That are you sure that's how you wanna use them?

Like I think it was elegant because in the end they still don't see them.

So they still don't know how they look like.

But it was a lot of like flirting with the line, you know, to just like manage your story.

I mean, it could have been like literally anybody, like literally anybody.

It could have been the Andorian could have been.

I, I love that.

It's the, the Roman just sneakily blowing up like Canada and why not.

Um But I, I love the thing.

It was, there was too much foreshadowing also like, like that woman that takes the picture, the right picture then follow them.

You know, it was like kind of like a little bit like too much I was like, I was like, ah, come on, like, can't you see that?

There's something up with that woman and I don't know who's the actress because I didn't have time to go check.

So, um, is heaven here?
Here?
I have it in, like, 2.5 seconds.
Yeah.
Um, so, uh, is she wearing prosthetics?
Because I rewatched it on my TV.
And I was like, I feel like she's wearing a prosthetic on like our nose and forehead. And that gives her, like, that gives her like a look.
And I, I'm not sure, like her nose is like, very, maybe that's how she looks in real life. And I'm really sorry if this does happen.

But I was wondering if they had done anything to her face because I felt like her eyebrows were like, I don't know, her face was kind of like, and probably the way she wore her hair, even though she didn't, she has a prosthetic on her ears, right?

The actress's name was Adelaide Kane.

Not the Riches, the, uh, the, the royal, not the Royals.

It's one of those shows I can't remember.

Ok, hold on.

I'm checking now.

I'm, uh, she's, that's right.

No, I don't know.

I did something to her eyebrows or something.

I'm like crazy.

I don't know.

Maybe I'm crazy but I was like the, the, the beanie, you know, I was like, there's something, something we've done it.

Sorry.
Sorry, Canada.
It's a Canada reference.
They're called, I don't know, in French it's, but, you know, whatever make up words. Um, so, yeah, I was, I was like, it was a little bit too, too, like, predictable.
But when, like, she was like, oh, it's a Roman ship.
I was like, holy shit.
What the mural verse would have made much more sense somehow in my head. But I love it.
What it's like hinting at how insane was the time war?

Like, that's bizarre.

Like thinking that you are just like random ships, especially the Romans because you know that they're gonna play dirty and go back and blowing up whole cities and you had to go back and prevent stuff.

That's insane.

And I really like the fact that they give, finally they give us finally a hint of like, what kind of shit would have had gone, gone down.

That's too much um, during these wars.

And I like the fact that it reminds us that whatever they're telling us in Star Trek may change any time because you still don't know what's happening to the timeline.

Yeah.
Ever just so.
Yeah.
And I was right and I called it and everybody um, shamed me and told me I was insane. I never shamed you.
Oh Right.
You were right.
You bastards.
They're gonna keep showing up.
They have this feeling of, you know, satisfaction that I have to say that I was joking.
I never thought for like in 1000 like light years that they would bring again.

But when they show the picture, I was like my life, my time has come MC I, first of all, I have to protest giraffe lumping me in with everyone else because I am always a very supportive best friend and you're throwing me in with the guys.

Sure, whatever.

Um OK, so about the Tuke, like, I love the Tuke because it's such like this great reference to city on the edge of forever.

Even though she, even though she's had like the, you know, disguised as a human, like magical plastic surgery that makes her perfectly like a human.

But still she could have kept the ears because she had the hat on. So it's like I see, I see you there with the, the reference.

Um I was so happy when I saw that the romulans were gonna be in this mostly because like, I was just like, oh, I can't wait for a reaction to this.

And um of course, having giraffe, like after I, you know, I watched the screen and she wanted to ask me and she's like the romulans in this which like the, the, the amount of times we got asked.

Well, and I was, I was apparently the bad friend because draft wanted to be spoiled and we, we all know that draft does not care about being spoiled, but I refuse to spoil her anyway.

So she went to the other friend and, yeah, I was, like, tell me, just tell me if I'm right. How right am I?
And she was like, and I shamed MC for telling her, like, 70%.
Let's go.

Yeah.

Well, I gave her a percentage of how much she was.

Right.

So, that could go in many different directions.

Um, uh, and I, I was a little surprised, um, with all of this, that, you know, considering Kirk didn't even remember like, what Toronto was that all of a sudden?

He's like, oh, yeah. Right.

It was blown up and, and I'm glad they did change that because I'm close enough to Toronto that, like, if Toronto was wiped off the map, I'd probably be gone to.

So, yeah.

Yeah.
Yeah.
How naive am I?

You know, I guess it's a Canadian in me and that, but, you know, I approached Sarah with that kind of same, you know, she's that trophy character you always meet, you know, when your characters go into the past and that, and they meet somebody who's a, you know, kind of sympathetic, maybe a little skeptical about them, but also at the same time becomes kind of a resource for them in the past.

And I was thinking, ok, that's Sarah and then she kind of disappeared, you know.

So it was like, oh, ok.

Uh Romulan, how, how clever are they in that?

They managed to bring Romulans into this show into an era where basically nobody's seen a Romulan.

You ever?

And we won?

But even they kind of maybe forgot.

No, they're just lying, like, says, like, explicitly that there's been 100 years war with the, like, they absolutely know what the Roman looks like.

Yeah.
Which is amazing.

They're just lying and shutting up because they don't want the Federation to know that basically any Vulcan can be a Roman and, like, imagine that's really bad.

That's really bad for you.

It's still amazing that the Federation and Romulan fought an entire war and never saw each other once.

Like that's also, well, because it's such a technical advantage.

Imagine they can literally pass for any Volcan and you see it in like the we're side track on the but like in with the ambassador, you know, the Vulcan ambassador who like, I

don't remember who ends up being a and that, that's such a technical advantage. It's like changing level of psychopathy.

You know, you can just be any, any Vulcan any time we've seen in peacock so many times also.

So it's all the advantage to never be seen or to be seen transformed, which is the other thing maybe that happened.

Mohawk.

Um I'm just trying to think, didn't Kirk make some comment at the end in that or about how good her, you know, almost didn't recognize the disguise.

Yeah.

Or didn't nobody, nobody's ever seen one, but they're fighting, they're fighting a war in that future that Kirk is from, with the Rams and the Vulcans are in that war too, so I'm guessing they've already seen what the islands look like.

Yeah, cool.

Is getting his ass kicked by the Romulan commander from um from your favorite episode?

That's who's kicking his ass.

Yeah, that would be amazing.

Um I do have to mention that the, the diner that they film.

It is a very famous, very good Toronto diner diner and I believe the movie Cocktail was filmed.

Oh, cool, nice.
And that's where Kirk discovers poutine and it's delicious.

Um Oh, we didn't speak about the toilet plumbing soup but no, we didn't, but it's delicious and you can make it in the toilet green line.

Great again, delivery by Paul Wesley.

Um I adore that this is the Romulan like so much because it connects enterprise in such a big way because um it's, it's a, it's a reference to, right?

We know that the Romulans were fucking around with, with the, the the future man and like this is people I think pass over the fact that this also connects to enterprise in a really big way.

But you all said it too.

Like I want like a Temporal War series and we keep getting hints at just how sucking bad they were.

And I love it.

I absolutely love that the Temporal Wars and I and I like that the Temporal Wars are being used as a way to adjust Canon to catch up to our times because it needs to be done.

Like you need a modernized track otherwise we can, can't keep telling these stories. So I thought it was brilliant.
I love that.
It was Romulans.

I love the connections, beautiful.
Um the Department of Archaeology and yes, you can spell it multiple ways.

Um Jim and Laon realize that they need an engineer to help them track down the reactor.

And Laon remembers from that she was at for a while and had her evil bunker, not her.

I don't know why I called it an evil bunker.

We should all have a bunker.

Um They track her down to her antique shop uh only to discover that she hasn't become an engineer yet.

So, whoops.
Uh that's a problem.
Um I do absolutely love that.
Laon is literally the cause of pee becoming an engineer like she had to go back in time

for pee to become. Yes, I love it.
I love it.

Uh They realize that uh that if they reverse engineer, an old diver's watch that Pell had from the eighties, the tri tritium tritium tritium and it will glow when other tritium which is in the cold reactor.

A lot of technobabble in this uh is present.

What do we think about American pickers pea and this scene giraffe, right?

I loved it so bad because the weight is painted on a freaking barn.

It's cracking me up so bad.

And you know, when she's like, at the beginning in the cold, in the cold open when, like, she's reading a property of the archaeology department.

Uh It's funny because the, the subtitles were written Archaeo geo and it, like, hit me out. I was like a EO for like a museum that's not a museum.
Like, again, there's two spelling of archaeology if you want.
My husband is sleeping right now.

But like, you can, like, hit him up on Twitter.

He'll explain everything to you.

Basically, they don't exactly mean the same thing.

A with eo is more like a, in, um, in a kind of like older kind of way, which really makes sense for what she's doing because that's not like a museum of archaeology, right?

And um when, when they go to her bunker in Vermont, uh in case the uh socialist utopia doesn't function incredible and it's written on the door.

It, I, I died.
I, I laughed so bad.
I want that T shirt, by the way, it's a T shirt and villain.

Yeah, I need it.

I need it so bad because I have the space archology already that they wear all the time and I need this one and the fact that she has like, like, what did she call it?

Like a pack rat pack, rat pack and all her stuff, I just, I just love that character.

It's, and I think like is such a good character to have because basically she's like an awesome plot device.

Like she's been here all the time.

Always, technically she knows everything and she knows everybody and she has a reason to be in any business because you can tie her up to anything.

And that opens so many possibilities.

So I want to know why she knows Spock's mom.

Yes, me too.

Real quick.

A topic happening in the chat right now.

People are saying, did Pella recognize at the beginning?

Yes.

No, I think she at the end, I mean, at the end of the episode, did she absolutely did because that timeline was fixed, right?

So the minute that the cold reactor isn't blown, Pelly is still alive and she's still a LAN. So she had, she met LA.

So they definitely, they definitely, because there's, it's very, there is a look that is given at the end of that episode where it's very much.

Uh I got your back which you missed again in Peacock season two should have been able to recognize Picard and I would have lived for that.

Like, just a look to be like I recognize you from the past. That would have been so perfect.

But anyway, missed opportunity yet again. MC.

Yeah, I mean, like with the look at the end um II, I do think like she absolutely did recognize her because they had this adventure now.

So it had happened because I don't think it, you know, she didn't recognize her before because it hadn't happened yet and because time temporal mechanics are really messed up like that.

But, yeah, uh the department of archaeology, I mean, I love ancient beings just being antiquity hoarders.

It's beautiful and it makes sense. It's, it's, it's, it's so fucking great.

Um And uh some folks in the chat have said that they hope that Pea and Gin have hung out.

I would live for an episode.

That is nothing but Pea and Gin going through history together, like kind of drinking out of a bar, just drinking at a bar.

That's all I need.

I mean, II I would love like there's an um a cold open on Good Omens season one where it's just like, uh um Crowley and Aer fail going through time, like each scene is like in a different time period.

I would love that an epi an entire episode like that for Pea and G um I don't care which version of you can use either you could use both or have it like the, the Sandman or where they meet every century, you know, they meet every century in the same bar to catch up on what's up.

Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh The whole technobabble to find out where the thing is.
I mean, it's, it's Trek technobabble.
It's like whatever like this is, they need to find some reason.

Um I like the um in Inspiring Pea to become an engineer.

Uh Not at all like shocked that pellet isn't an engineer at this point because, I mean, it's like, come on, on, it's like 300 years from now.

Like you do you know how many hobbies I've picked up and dropped in my, my lifetime?

Like, you, you, you think somebody's going to be an engineer for 300 fucking years, she's probably had so many freaking professions.

It's insane.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Or she's always been a hoarder.
There's a missed opportunity this episode not to have the American Pickers guy. Like guys come in and do a cameo, like looking through her stuff.

I would have loved that because they had, they had the guys from uh impractical jokers show up in anyway.

Sorry Hawk, you're up or the Canadian Pickers we have that.

Uh So I don't really have too much more to add in that other than the fact that like the only reason that they had this scene was just because the writers seem to understand who Carol Kane is and like, you know, the fact that they're actually she is a commodity on this show, you know, a valuable commodity and I'm glad the writers are really using her to her full advantage to their full advantage.

Um Just more, give me more of this. Yeah, I agree.

I want to see her be like all the other roles like the grandmother in the Adams family or the landlord in Kim.

You know, of all this though.

I think that she's definitely living a bit of her best life at the Department of Archaeology at that time.

Right.

Like she's adoring, doing that stuff.

Um, let's get into some trivia very quickly.

Um, I'm just gonna do it all for the sake of time.

Uh, someone could read it on tomorrow's show because we'll have another question.

Uh, last week we asked for, uh, the name of the officer we did on Twitter because we forgot to do it on the show because we had a legal gig.

Someone went super long.

Uh We asked uh the name of the officer that was killed aboard the enterprise during an ion storm leading to the court marshal of Captain Kirk.

Um Since he was on social media, we had a lot of entries.

The correct answer was Lieutenant Commander Benjamin Finney.

That's right.

Uh who wasn't actually dead and way too old to be in the same star flee class as Jim.

But whatever.

Um It's true.

The winner for this week is Mike Romero who sent us an email with the answer.

So congrats to you, yay, we will get in touch to get your address and send you a hammers sticker.

Yes, let's go.

Um This week's question, what was the name of the species that turned the temporal Cold War into the full fledged temporal war?

You can email us at trivia at strange new pod. You can DM me on Discord.

I'll leave it up, open up socials you can DM us on blue sky Twitter, Instagram, just send us the answer and, uh, you'll be entered to win a hammer sticker.

And this week, this episode and tomorrow's episodes, trivia questions will both be

answered on next week's pod.

So you have time to get the answers in.

So, yeah, logistics.

There you go, Jim and sitting in a tree.

Kis si ng I had to, I'm really sorry, vigorously, vigorously.

Um, Hunting for the reactor.

LA realized that Jim doesn't recognize her name and they start talking about literature.

Jim flirts, yada, yada, yada, the two kiss.

That's really what we want to see.

Thoughts on the romance.

I know we talked a lot about it at the top but them finally kissing Draff.

I was not about the romance the first time I watched The Epz because I'm a bit tired of the romance.

Um, somehow strange New World has made me tired of people trying to get into each other's pants.

Um, which is weird because, you know, I usually I'm here for that but it's been too much of a driving force for characters in strange new world.

Spock.
Uh, like, let's be honest.

No person is like that driven all the time about like that, especially if you work in a spaceship.

I know maybe people are not going to agree with me but come on, like science Space.

Um, so, yeah, I was like, uh, but the more I watch the episode the more I like it because it is not a driving force for the characters.

It is not their whole plot line.
It is not the only thing they're doing, it is not affecting everything they're doing.

And I think that there are two characters that, like, really go well together, like good job.

Like, it would not have work with, it would not have work with Ortega.

It wouldn't have work, it works perfectly with perfectly.

And I like the fact that they're still, you know, goofy and they're still, like, focused and they're still, like, doing their thing, like, going, like, not losing track of the main objective.

And there's this on the top, which I think is nice because, like, they know that they may be stuck here forever.

Yeah.

And that basically it's that episode of The Orville, but better, you know, the one with the time travel.

I'm not too much.

Yeah.

Right.

Where, like, basically they're like, they're falling in love with each other because they, they're the only ones with a reference for their own life, which I think is super important.

They both come even if it's different timeline, right?

They both served on the enterprise and they are the only one having this, but they will go so well together.

So I was about it after like two or three rewatch and I think I'm gonna get more and more into it.

Um, but emotionally, like I have to say, that, that the end, the end, like, hit me.

I was like, oh, they got me though, they got me, they got me where they wanted me to be.

So, yeah, nice.
I liked it.
MC.
Uh, there was a really earnestness about this relationship and I think actually a lot of it

comes out specifically in how the kiss was blocked.

Uh, when you think about Kirk kissing somebody like Shatner and T Os had a very specific way.

He would kiss ladies like it was always like the arms like at the small of their back kind of like bending them over and just like passionately kiss sometimes a bit aggressive too.

Yeah.
Meanwhile this vigor, he was very big on vigorous kissing.

But meanwhile, when you see this one, they're both at the same level and it's just kind of like this quick press of mouths together.

It is just very, very sweet and very, not melodramatic. It's just a thing that happens.
And I like that.
I like that.

It was just a very spontaneous like moment like I don't like this is not like Jim Kirk the smooth operator.

This is Jim Kirk.
That's just like, hey, I'm kind of into this cute girl.
I'm, I'm gonna kiss her and yes, you know, you were just wrote the art of the kiss. I have been talking about kissing for like the last two minutes.
It's true.

And I think it's, it's, it's also a sign of like, New TV where, you know, there's no, I feel it was beautiful because there's no, like, nobody is like, dominating anybody, like, very often.

Kirk in like the sixties is like, you know, he's the one doing the kissing, right? Uh And that was like, very, like, real kind of, you know what I mean?

Like, they were both into it and I do think it's a sign of the ages also that the representation has like slowly changed.

But can you imagine being like, like no, like no, you know, being like sixties kissed by Jim Kirk, like, come on.

It would be weird.

It's funny you mentioned about Kirk Dominy because that, that line where she's wearing the watch that's guiding them to their destination she wants to wear and she's like, you just want to be in charge.

Yeah, but you're right.

This whole scene, there were, the relationship did not feel forced at all and that it was just great banter between the two of them.

Uh Michael Quan reminded me of one of the best lines in that when he was asking about the, you know, her family and that, you know, it's like a lot of ax killers in your family and that, oh, we never used axes.

Yeah, just like it, you know, it could have been like Bogie and bacall, right?

You know, just like trading lines back and forth and that until finally it just naturally kind of boom comes together and it just feels right.

And at the same time also feels a little doomed. Right.
Yeah.
Definitely.

Oh, definitely.
Yeah, because he's doomed to not exist in when she goes back. And she knows that she's like, well, you could come back.
Right.
We could both go back to, she's falling for him and you know what? It made me think a little bit.

But she, she, but she kind of reminds me of Michael Burnham in the idea of like, see that how to approach relationship.

Like they both had like two different, totally different level but traumatic childhood and like being like, like separated from being able to have relationship with other people and like these adults who like is, I don't know how to have an intimate relationship.

I'm not sure I, I do, you know, and it gave a little bit of that like, but way better done in this episode than in magic to make the go mad with the kids and so on.

Like, but yeah.

Good, good.

Yeah, I, I loved it.

Uh II I just titled the next part of the outline draft is, right?

Because Romulans, I'm gonna try and be very quick about this because this is just leading to, we just talked about it.

Doomed, right?

They get into the New and Sing Institute, we know who's gonna show up in a few minutes.

Uh Her legacy, obviously DNA from her blood to get them into the building, they're stopped by Sarah, the Romulan operative, she reveals the romulans have been trying to slow human progress by going into the past.

Jim tells Sarah she won't shoot because the alarms will go off except she does. What do we think about the twist and the, the, basically the bluff being called draft.

Listen, like they're telling a woman you're not gonna shoot and then shooting was giving so much Indiana Jones, You know, like you really think she's not gonna shoot.

She's gonna absolutely shit.
What are you talking about?
And that's like one of the great constant.
We're like, I knew at that moment that she was so gonna shoot. I was like, what is going to happen next?

I liked, I like the like, I don't know, the cunny and the evilness and the like kind of like a little bit like a, a Scooby Doo villain.

I mean, here it was you all along with like it was the romance all along without these dirty kids, meddling kids, you know.

But um I love the scene.

I, I like the fact that Kirk dies.

I it was good.

I think it was a very well put like story that he dies now and not that she has to make the choice to erase him with the timeline.

I think it's traumatic, but at the same time, it's easier that would have been hard to watch, right?

If all of a sudden all of a sudden Sarah, like, you know, disintegrates herself and Jim has to, like, you could block out the scene.

Right.
Jim, all of a sudden gives a look and he just disappears.
Right.
That would be like, too much, like, back in the future kind of thing. It's weird.

Um, I, I think also that it's very hard to act that kind of like goodbye scene and make it like, heartfelt and like, like the fact that we see Jim Kirk die was like, whoa, I was like, oh I got shot by a um I really like the, the again, like the, the women really have like a such a I think we can like, like have a problem with Picard, but they reinvented the romance so well and gave them such a beautiful style and like, you know, the thing with like the poison uh um like dissolving like that, we seen Peacock season one, like the, the, the the disruptors and all that.

Like, I do think that they reinvented them in such a powerful like opponent, a powerful like looming.

Um I don't know, like catastrophe all the time and I really like, like that stranger world kind of like went into this like, you never know what the hell they're doing and when they're gonna show up, so, no, I loved Sarah.

I think it was perfectly acted, you know, a little bit of like trolling shit. It was almost very to right?

Like a little bit.
Yeah, absolutely.
And slowing human just blow up the planet. What are you doing?

Like what like like slowing down human progress, you can just blow pull up like the main city from space and it can't do anything like if they arrive today would be so done like, yeah, so I think there's like layers, I hope there are layers of like what we're not understanding with the temporal cold wars or temporal wars of like what's going on.

But yeah, I just, I just love that. Sorry for Kirk.
It was sad though MC.
OK.

So just on your last point, the why don't they blow up the planet?

Uh I think that probably comes down to the computer said like if you do that, this is what the timeline is gonna lead to because it does sound like there was very specific calculation patients as to these are the points you have to do because maybe like blowing up earth would cause too many differences that would, you know, even impact the Romulan Empire.

And it's like this is where they are about the supernova. You mentioned the supernova.

No, but like like time travel, they should know because also we don't know when we don't know when she's from.

Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, like we don't know when in the timeline she's actually from the ship is very well.

Um uh But it seems like she was past Kirk because uh you know, she was familiar with Kirk, the, the legend of Kirk.

Um I, I'm not like super into Kirk dying just because I thought it's such a, it's such a, like every single, like time travel thing.

If there's somebody who's from, uh like an alternate timeline, they'll end up like, sacrificing themselves.

It's very Kyle Reese.

Uh I mean, not, not that, but I mean, the thing is, I also don't, it's, it's effective because, I mean, I don't think that there was any other way that, that they could have done it effectively.

So I'm just, you know, picking at the fact that this is how story like that way. Yeah, I just wanted to reference Terminator.

So I like uh I did love the reviewal of Sarah being a Robin agent and that, but I also like how she didn't play it like a typical Rob agent and it's mostly the fact that, you know, she's been stuck there for so long.

I think she's a little crazy, you know, and the like trying to keep pace in her head and that changes and that, you know, it's like, yeah, maybe they, maybe they could just come along and blow up the earth and that, but I think she's aware of that there are consequences to like such an outright act like that.

You know, if, if this temporal war has been going on as long as we think it has, you know, but the fact that she's like in the time compensation pushes back and that and we don't know.

Yeah, I was giving a little bit like, you know, the Time engine in the future tense that he's stuck in the back alley in the Voyager that cannot go back.

But that's, that begs the question like why is she stuck?
It has to do with the mission and it's like she can't go back to.

No, I, no, I think it's because of the temporal wars because she talks about it in her speech and we're actually about to talk about this and this was supposed to happen in 1992.

But the temporal wars are always going on because it's a time war. So shit is always going crazy.
This is like, yeah, exactly.
So she's stuck there because shit keeps on getting changed.

So yeah, like she was there to be there for that particular in 90 two and he didn't come.

But because of something that happened during the temporal war, Khan did not come to power in 92.

I wasn't even born yet.

So she had to, she had to wait for Leon to show up or she had no, she just, she had to wait for k to be born because he wasn't born when he was supposed to be born.

Yeah, but she also needed access to him did not have without I think that was, I think that was a curveball.

I don't think that she knew that was coming and I think she definitely is the one who shot the temporal agent.

Yes.

Yes, most definitely.

Yeah, I think she was aware somebody would be coming.

I think she was, you know, she's playing it basically like a wood, not in the shadows watching, you know, and waiting for a moment, a moment that turned up.

No, but nothing tells you that she's not like out lying and like saying whatever to lawn, just like playing the game inside the game of the agenda behind the agenda.

Like, yeah, you can't trust anything she's saying.
But I, I had a feeling that she'd gone a little crazy.
Right.
So I, I don't think that she was lying in that situation.
I think she was tired of being among all of the nice Canadians. But I do believe, sorry, go ahead.

I do sincerely believe that what kept her, there was like fear of like the she faced from the, you know, the, the because like, you know, she got like, ok, she gets shot twice in the chest by Leon and her last instinct is to evaporate herself.

What is why?
Because she's a, she's a, she's, that's the level of commitment, but it's the same thing.

It's the same thing with Riker in that episode where like, you know, they're not supposed to be here.

Like you can't leave a body and you cannot get to a hospital because she doesn't have internal organs like a human.

So, yeah, like I said, I think, I think what keeps her there is fear of failure.

The Time Bureau of the Tall she are and you don't get the job done.

I don't even want to know what they would do to you.

Well, and the other thing is like, they're like, pretty much like brainwashed.

Like they're about the, also, like, uh, I do think also that she's not leaving a body because again, they're not supposed to know.

So that helps them not being able to know what a looks like because there's no body.

So it's like rectifying also the, the bloodline, you know, um I just wanted for, for all the people that have been saying in the chat too, I think is a very good point to bring up.

And this is the one thing I'll say before we move on because we are running very late tonight.

Um There is very much a big irony of Kirk dying for Khan because that's what happens. He dies so Khan can live.
And that's a very cool reference and I like that a lot.

Um I want to get to the next point and I was actually debating whether to put it in the outline and we'll be brief about it because I don't want to set people off and I know that trolls go and listen to podcasts and listen to this shit, but I'll talk about it anyway.

Um This episode changes Rehan and it gets changed in the pilot.

But this like basically says it out loud and it's, and, and, and I'm, this is a good thing.

This is not a bad thing.

Um She talks about how the temporal wars have prevented events from happening when they were right in T OS.

When Khan shows up, they mentioned that the that he's in power in 92 the eugenics wars have happened, right?

Sarah very much states this didn't happen, right?

Um But somehow time keeps writing the way.

So Khan is born in the eugenic wars, do still happen.

Um The two fight line when Sarah disintegrates herself, I've been amazed, shocked and maybe it's because my Twitter is curated to all hell.

But I've talked to other people who've, who said the same thing that there's been no pushback about the timeline change and how this is canon and this is still the prime timeline very quickly.

Thoughts on this.

Jeff, I think there has been, but at one point, we just need to rewrite Star Trek.

It's ridiculous to think that there was a war in 92.

It, it makes Star Trek go far, far from us and we cannot like see us as the past of Star Trek, which is the whole point that, you know, we're supposed to go there.

And I think that's where discovery jumping to like, like, you know, the 32nd century is brilliant because it just gives like more space to be more sci-fi because look at Enterprise, it's coming nearer and nearer every day.

Uh, the Bell riots on next year, guys, next year, the Bell riots after the system. Yeah.
So, I, it's, it's logical.
It makes sense.

And, you know, I'm, I'm not a stickler for Can, I mean, I like Canon because I like the story of Trek.

But there are things like it's fine.

92 again in my head, they're just all talking out of, out of the, but they have no clue what time they're talking about.

And when they said like the nineties, they didn't know what they were talking about. It was a wrong day.

Let's move on.

Yeah, I think it's brilliant because this is not a, this is just literally history has been changed because and it, it ties to this temporal Cold War that has been going on since Enterprise.

I told you I was gonna bring up Kelvin again and I'm gonna see that right now.

There was a deleted scene that was not like on the DVD, but it was in the, the novelization and in the comic book where Spock Prime talks about how when things are changed, that the timeline tries to like autocorrect itself.

And that's why all of like the, the T Os crew end up in the Kelvin timeline despite the fact that such a big change should mean that they would don't end up together.

So this kind of stuff and it, and I think somebody in the chat said that something like that is mentioned in the year of hell, this happened.

It's like this is this is Trek Canon that the timeline tries to autocorrect itself. But you do have like this whole temporal Cold War going on.

So this is not a recon because a recon is the writers saying it's like this thing that we had is now different and we're not going to create any proper reason for it.

But this is the writers saying it's like, no, the timeline has literally been changed by things that have happened.

Yeah, I agree.
Uh Pretty much the same.
I mean, like I'm, i it's nice that they addressed it.

But I mean, like there's also a part of me is just like, it is very forgiving in, in these kind of things because I mean, like they were writing this back in 63 to them, like, you know, 1992 was like, you know, what time they probably would.

Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
With everything going on. Yeah, exactly.

So, you know, it's not like blade runner in that, you know, 2019 came around and it's like we're still OK.

And that so, yeah.

Yeah, I agree.

I agree with everything you guys said.

Um finally, well, an realizes that she is in the room, the same room as her genocidal ancestor who at this point in time is just a frightened little boy.

That's it.
She reassures him that she's not gonna hurt him.

I get goosebumps talking about because I think the scene is really good and that he is right where he belongs.

And somewhat of a really touching moment in this episode, Thoughts Jeff. I opened so many questions like, you know, did she change uh Khan? Like is she, you know what I mean?

Like is that this is a moment for the kid and is that like something that changed the history and knowingly, you know, um um there are so, so many questions, why was Khan like born later?

Like, what did they do?

Um We know he's engineered, right?

Who's in like, like where is Brent Spiner?

Oh Thank God.

He didn't show up in a little cameo.

I was like, I was ready for him to be like in the room being like, hello, I would have shut the fucking TV off.

Um It opens so many questions because just by that act of kindness, like, how did that impact the con that we see in space sea?

You know, like I, I want, I want to know and um I love the fact that there are so many like

things in that room.

So Khan is working on some Sumerian tablet from Babylon and we don't know what he's doing, but I do think that it just really cool because it opens the story to so many possibilities which I'm here for it, we knew she was not going to like, kill him or something because is not going to do that.

Right?

Um And a little bit of soul serving, I suppose she wants to exist.

So, you know, that's always good.

Um But it's very interesting.

It's very interesting because it bears also the question of like, she knows what is going to happen and she has to let it happen.

So the utopia happens, Her utopia happens. So, yeah, I thought it was beautiful.

I thought I like the, the you see again um coming to term with what, what is her family and so on.

But I, you know, it's one of my like pet peeve in Star Trek, like um genetic determinism. You're not determined by your DNA, you're determined by the people around you.

And I do believe that her act of kindness may have done something well and, and um STM CD E 1701 in the Chaco thought wasn't Khan described in space.

He is one of the less bad of the tyrants.

Maybe the strange woman who showed him mercy had a hand in that.

Absolutely.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Um So, you know, always like, I think in the end sure he's gonna most probably be a, I cannot see that very bad bad guy.

And uh but maybe she changed a little bit of things for people around him.

Um First of all, can we please applaud the fact that we finally have a con of South Asian descent, the right color, well done.

Paramount good job.
And, uh, I mean, like this is a really great little scene.

Um, I, I quite liked it and it is like the whole idea of, you know, even Hitler was a little boy once.

Um, I don't think Khan is affected by this because this is, this is one moment in his life.

Uh And II, I think that he's going, you know, it's, it's genetic and it's not only genetic engineering, but it's obviously they're conditioning him to become who he is.

Uh And I know some people were asking like, you know, how this got, um how it was delayed.

I'm pretty sure not only was he genetically manipulated, he was like artificially created like there was insemination involved.

So I'm gonna think that like, they, you know, they, they did it, you know, back in 92 and they just had, you know, the him on ice, you know, just waiting to be just stated.

So that's like what project Khan was about in uh Picard season two or whichever season, season two.

Well, I mean, this was that city on the edge of forever uh moment and that where, you know, a single act changes the entire world and that uh in city of the edge of forever and that it was, you know, allowing either killer to die in that.

So World War Two could happen so that you know, it, there's this thing about like, you know, they mentioned about there's a need to like, tear it down but in order for it to rebuild and not, um you know, um I don't want to get into too much about it, but this was a great scene.

Um The fact I think it was more about Leon, like looking at, you know, the past and like this mark of who, you know, no and sang that had branded her and her, her, her lineage show for so many years.

And that and to finally like confront, confront it and it's like, oh at one point he was just a little boy.

I mean, at one point she wipes the dirt from his face and I, that, that, that part actually had me a little bit red in the eyes.

I think it was good for her in the fact that like, you know, she could look, you know, it'll, I think it allowed her to let go of like the stigma of it and then, you know, maybe not all there's no but her personally, I think that was the moment she was like, ok, I can let this go.

Yeah.

Um I absolutely adored the scene.

It's probably my favorite scene of the episode just because of the way it was acted.

That kid played being innocent so well that even the wanted to kill him, you just, you just melt down, right?

Like you just melt down at the end and be like, yeah, this is just a little kid and when you see the photo of him with his friends right from wiping the dirt to the way that Chrissy Chong delivered.

I know this isn't going to maybe make much sense right now. But you're absolutely exactly where you need to be.

I don't know what it was about that line, but it just got me, it got me because she knows exactly who he is right.

And that she was gonna have her name frowned upon and she was gonna have to fight for every promotion.

Every every everything get get interrogated about it during a court martial and she just wipes the dirt off of his face.

This was a very powerful scene and I really, really, really liked it.
Um Yeah, let's move on to the end.
Um The timelines are stormed, restored Iowa on earth is back home. She makes sure things are right on the bridge.

Shares an acknowledging glance with Pea uh and is visited by temporal investigations who remind her not to share any of this mission with anyone which is fucking heartbreaking.

Um After this, she contacts Lieutenant Kirk just to see his face, right?
Um And after the convo, she just breaks down thoughts on this moment, Jeff, first of all,

the temporal agent, everything was like on point, I was like, I want that dress, I want these earrings, I want the makeup I want everything.

I was like, so good.

She's here, like, for like a fraction of a second and I'm like everything.

Yes.

Absolutely.

The style that uh everything, um I love how, like, no nonsense she is also like, to the point I incredible.

So I loved that.
I loved that again.

They manage, like, with that character and that line of like, you cannot say anything to just keep everything in the wrap because, you know, that is not going to say and then it's the end, like, why don't they know about Roman?

Because she's not gonna say anything, you know, why don't they know about time because she's not gonna say anything like, end of it.

That's so easy.
That's so like, it's a bit like, too easy, but on the end it works.
It's how, like, it's a good episode.
I, I like the fact that she contacted him too.
I was like, you know, it's like calling your ex, you're like, don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. But then, then you do it.
And like, on that case, I was like, yes, do it.

Um Which is like, really going to be weird when he comes, like visiting his brother and being like, oh yeah, you know, like, you're like security officer, like she called me out of the blue, like, what's up with her?

Like, like, did you talk about me?
Like, um, but I love the fact that she breaks down crying and it was like, that got me.

That got me bad. I was like, oh, no. Oh, no.
She's so sad.

Um, it was really good because it, it shows the weight of like, what happened on her and, like, everything she gone through and for somebody that doesn't want to link so much with people, doesn't know how to, or had, like, lost so many people.

She lost so many people and then for one, she falls in love and she loses him too and she cannot talk about it to anybody, not even to him because he's still alive.

Like that's so bad.

That's a big level of air.

That's so true.

Yeah.

Um yeah, I just want to read Michael Quan's comment real quick.

Once again, Starfleet shows no care for the mental health of its personnel.

Can't we get ad T I counselor to which I say yes, they can time travel into the room for a session.

You lock your door, you leave.
Come on DT I be better mental health.
Yeah, it just, yeah, it's beautiful though like it was really well done. MC.

Uh I am always here for temporal investigations to show up and um I mean, I would rather have more prodigy but if we're not, if we're gonna like getting rid of Star Trek shows and bringing in new ones, I would love to have a doctor who asked temporal investigations show um and the scene with uh Lieutenant Kirk.

I mean, it was so perfect because you do realize just how much like this like we we keep on bringing up city on the edge of forever.

And this episode very much was sitting on the edge of forever where they were able to convey them falling in love in this episode without showing them really falling in love.

If that makes any sense.
It's not like over dramatic.
Uh It is very honest, falling in love.

So yes, she's totally like, but also it's not the same Kirk as this one, but she does still want to, you know, just know that he's ok and there's, you know, Kirk, you know, saying, you know, we can go get a drink, which is, which is like a very Kirk thing to do.

He does, he does it in a very cool way where it's just like, yeah, you know, I I, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll tell you some, you know, you know, bad stories about Sam and it's just like, yes, perfect hawk thing like yummy.

You guys have said it perfectly in the yum yum pointing that out there.

Kirk gets a phone call from a random lady and decides to shoot a shot suggesting for a drink, right?

Oh God, isn't it?

If like, Paul was give me like a phone like facetime and be like, hey, I'd be like, I have a drink so I'm going to get murdered.

Um The only thing this scene is missing.

Is that DT I agent like having some sn remark about Jim Kirk being involved in time shenanigans yet again because we know she's from the future.

She knows she has Jim Kirk's file.
I wish there was that.
But for the end when she calls him, I was devastated.
I was like, oh my God, just like when she breaks down, it's just brutal. It's so brutal and um I want to see it explored more.
I want to see these two in a lot more scenes.
I like that.

We have those promo images of them from before the season started.

Um which gives me hope that there is more of them together.

So, um, yeah, I still have, they still have to get sweaty.

We do know that they meet each other at some point in the transporter room and is like, what's going on there.

So, yeah, love it.
Final thoughts.
Annie, please don't have any because we are so late.
Yeah, let's get on to the rating.
Good, good rate.
This one and chat.
Give us your ratings.
Two out of 10 Toronto hot Dogs will go in reverse order.
Hawk.
Uh This is a 10 out of 10.
This is not just a good strange new worlds episode.
It's a great Star Trek episode, you know, in general.
So 10 nice MC.
Uh I was going in thinking that it was gonna be 95, but I actually do think that.
It's a 10 now that we've talked about it.
Yeah.
Yeah, same 10, not the same 10 on episode two because it's not the same.
But, I mean, yeah, it started at an eight and somehow it ended up all the way to 10. Like, somehow, like, it's a stupidly good episode like that.

I will most probably rewatch because it's so fun.

And Paul Wesley is the only reason that he's not the only reason that it's, it is what pushes it from an eight to a 10.

Let's be honest.
That's fair.
Uh, over in the chat.
Colin gives it a 10 out of 10 Tara nine street Meat dogs.
Er, a 10 gives it a 9.5 out of 10 hot dog, Michael Quon 9.5 time crystals out of 10.
This episode for me, uh, Jim, a 10 out of 10 hotdog hopped with ketchup and mustard. Thank you, sir.
Haven an 8 to 10 hot dogs with mustard from Weiner.
This episode when I first watched it, um, I was chatting with U MC.
I said I really liked it.
I think I was still like an eight with it and then I watched it again and I was like an 8.5. Then I watched it again and I'm like, I'm not going to give it a 10.
Um, just because I can't give it a 10 next to episode two.
This is like a good 995 for me.
It is like, what was wrong?
Well, see, that's, that's what I keep asking myself what was wrong.
And I actually do.
We all have to give this a 10.
I agree.
I agree with you.
It's not a 10, like season two, like two.

It's like season two.

He's like, but I can't have anything wrong with this episode, but it's kind of like your kids where it's like I love you both the same but I love exactly.

Alright.
Fuck it.
It's a 10.
So we all gave it a 10. Holy shit.

Ok.

Wow.

Two tens in a row.

I actually gave last.

Do you think it's because we've seen the like more and like, I, I'm wondering if you know, I mean, and this is also man, just be prepared for tomorrow.

That's all I'm gonna say because not nice. Jolene is coming.
Um I can't say anything else anyway.
10 out of 10.

Uh this episode is fucking amazing.

Let's get to the Subspace pole and mail bag her.

Who wants the poll this week?

Hit at MC.

We asked Trek Twitter what they thought of tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow and this is what they had to say.

69% nice.

Said tiny fun.
22% said here for the hot dogs, 3% said would rather play chess. And 6% said temporal Cold War.
Wow, I want to know why.
Yeah.
Yeah, same.
Uh Let's see who did the last rating it was me.
So we'll go back in our normal order draft.
Can you take Matt's mail bag, please?
Yes, Matt wrote this week was a great bottle episode.

I love lawn having to literally face her ancestral demon and the conflict of both wanting to do something about it while knowing she can't at the expense of the entire prime timeline.

Also, can we say as a kleptomaniac pack rat gave me life with her line about keeping the bunker in Vermont in case the no money socialist utopia thing turns out to be a fad epic.

Indeed, MC with Michael Quan's, please, Mike Quan wrote.

I'm pleased with how this season is shaping up.

This time travel episode is fitting in with the others we've seen.

It's as emotionally hard hitting as city on the edge of forever and even comes to that emotional from slightly different angle.

Chrissie Chong gets to show a broader, more personal range of acting than last season and I could feel how affected she was by the advance of Mira Cato last episode and by the hopeful connection she felt with the Gim Kirk of the United Earth fleet in this episode.

Nice Hawk with Eric the Reds, please.

Er Eric the Red wrote at first, I was worried due to Picard season two of another time travel jaunt into the 21st century.

As were we all when we were, they said it was not all bad fair.

However, the episode did a wonderful job combining a stop Hitler get getting killed to save the timeline plot with the amazing acting of Chrissie Chong and Paul Wesley.

It's painful to say that the darkest moments of human history gave way to our eventual triumphs as we became better as a species.

And the episode tried to demonstrate that Leon reflects that alternative title could have been Conquest.

There's a lot of people making the, there's a lot of wait, do I have it? Oh I Oh Yeah.
There it is.
You deserve that right.

I will take Jedi Katz who I'll remind uh five sentences, five small sentences or two small paragraphs, please.

I think this is your first time, which is why I allowed it.

But next time, next time I will censorship, I thought it would be a come down after last week and was proved wrong.

Star Trek continues its tradition of great time travel episodes and I like the explanation for Trek's ever changing.

Can Canal timeline?
Fantasy's Temporal Wars make sense to me.
I can't say enough about Christina Chong's performance, especially at the end. I figured at some point would have to face her ancestor Khan.

And that moment did not disappoint it was downright heartbreaking and really brings home the notion that most of her limited, that even the worst people were innocent Children.

Once Carol Kane once again made the most of her to limited screen time as pale she actress and character alike are a treasure and I can't get enough of her.

And while I had my doubts, although I liked him in quality and mercy, I am now officially

sold on Paul Wesley as James C Kirk.
I have to say this has to sell people on him because he was so good.
I think we could safely say he's earned his place alongside Shatner and Pine.

And I can just as easily imagine the other of those two in the episode, what I most appreciated as with the two hosts of the Enterprise Incidents podcast is that as Kirk emphasizes his brainier side.

Yes, there's one moment where I literally thought to myself, stack of books with legs.

He also did well with playing the more adventurous, playful and romantic sides of Kirk.

I know this was an A U Kirk, but I liked him and I got why Laon liked him.

The entire s uh end sequence got me.

But what really tore up my heart was Laon called to Prime Kirk, the trailer teas that they'll meet later in the season.

And I wonder how different the dynamic is gonna be since the Kirk will surely have knowledge of Laon heritage.

Like Una said in that clip, she thought it was making uh the thought of it was making me sweat.

Stranger worlds continues to bat 1000 and I can't wait to see what comes next. Indeed.
Back to the top draft you take Cassie's, please.
Cassie wrote.

This is my favorite episode of the season so far.
Coincidence that it only involves two minutes of screen time for Spark Cassie, I kid. Or do I?
Seriously though this episode absolutely sold me on Paul Wesley as James Ker.

Christina Chong was phenomenal and I'm so glad we got a whole episode devoted to our character.

We even got a De Men 10, 10 out of 10, no notes.

That's what we just said, right?

We tried to have notes and really don't have much notes.

It's a great episode.

And again, like we have more on law and we need the same thing with Ortega.

We need the same thing with Christine Chappelle.

Like, please give us MC with Yum Yum Yum Yum Pod Road.

I hate this episode so much for the most.

Yeah, I was just bored with what was given to us and found the humor to be tiresome with so many lines trying too hard to be meme worthy real NCU type stuff.

That scene with the undercover Romulan live streaming the cops arresting Kirk and saving saying all that stuff about profiling him was so cringe inducing that it made me want to leave the room and it didn't get much better than the more time we spent with that Kookie character who knew that Khan was actually Canadian all along.

It's not, don't claim him.
Uh The cod stuff had to be dealt with at some point.
But I didn't expect to laugh so much at the little kid writing.
Really do love that.
His childhood included being made to make his own bedroom sign. Yum Yum Pod.
I know you're in the chat.
Who hurt you guys.
Come on.
No, I agree that the scene with the couple was super cringe a little. That is true.

You see the sea at some point like they had to get them there and it's true that it was like super dumb.

Like I agree on that scene, like see something that we need to duck a point. Like that's a good point.

But I have said before, people aren't entitled to their wrong opinions and it's true about the meme Morphe stuff.

Like I see it on a lot of shows having like these one liners like to make memes. That is also true.
Um OK.
Who's next?

Uh Hawk with Chris, please?

Yeah, Chris wrote, I really enjoy this episode.

It has that fun runaround adventure of the week T Os kind of vibe.

We got a good, a great look at Leon as a person, not just her mask she wears on the ship.

Little twist that the aliens we know from conspiracies are actually Romulans was fun.

It's a good episode that can be watched at any time without needing other episodes around it.

Giraffe is MC and they are always right.

Romulans all the way down, all the way down, all the way down vigorously strange free world road for possibly the first time in her life while an was seen as herself, not as a new sing.

The replay of the question from her testimony really drove that home to me.

She made the choice in this episode that it was worth it to her to have to live with that if it meant a better future for humanity than with, than what the alt Kirk lived in.

And then the double gut punch.
At the end of the note, being able to talk, not being able to talk to anyone about this and

talking to our Kirk.
That was rough.
Indeed.
Back to you giraffe with Taras, please.
Oh, I got the Limmer today I did at Tara Road. I tend to love time travel stories.

So I really enjoyed this episode.

I am enjoying getting to know better.

This new Kirk is growing on me and I like the conflict.

Right.

Right.

Oh Regarding uh sorry recording baby baby baby Bill's character is endless fun and Carol Kane is absolutely killing it.

I love the line about Pits and Poland at the end with no outlet to work through our trauma.

I look forward to more interaction with the Department of Temporal Investigation.

Nitpicks, Kirk's Chess earning Kirk's driving skills learning curve, traveling to Vermont and back in no time.

And now this week's Limerick la is flushed to an alternate enterprise hoping to save her timeline from pros possible demise.

A romance with Kirk was brewing but Sarah's bullet is its undoing and Pea's watch. How very symbolic somehow remains surprise.
Hm.
That's it.

Right.

It's true that, um, the Vermont to no time, she just said that she take, like, four buses and, like, two cabs and bribes an agent to pass the border.

But I was like, that's fast. How long have they? Seven hours each way? Yeah.

Seven hours each way.

I'm gonna be having it in Vermont is left over from more than they planned to have it in New York.

Yeah, probably.

But that still is a long ass drive.

I've done it.

It's brutal.

Um uh Take us home MC with rude parakeets, please.

By the way.

Great Limerick.

As always, Tara, thank you.

Rude parakeet wrote great episode.

It was a bit slow and even silly at times, but it was fun nonetheless.

Was I the only one who was disturbed by the fact that Kirk never added mustard or ketchup to the hot dogs.

No, not at all.

Uh I guess I don't speak for everyone but I find dry weenies rather unpleasant vigorously.

Oh, Christ.

Oh man.

This week's mail bag was hot, man.

So many entries.

We love that guys.

Thank you so much.

Um It's like one of our longest episode reviews ever and I'm here for it.

We started, we started a little bit late but still this is like this chat was amazing.

I love, I love this episode.

I'm glad that you changed my mind to attend because this is really like, it's a great episode.

Um, tomorrow we'll have, and tomorrow and tomorrow we'll have more to talk about because we have a brand new episode coming in about three hours for those on the west coast.

Um, well, and the east coast too.
That's right.

We will be talking about among the lotus eaters.
Episode 204 of strange new worlds.
So I will say for giraffe for MC for Hawk live longer.
