Sometimes I use the onboard mic on my iPhone 8, sometimes I use the wired headset provided with the phone, sometimes I use a lapel mic sold by Powered Wise ($20). I have a splitter and extension cord for use during serious interviews. Make sure to connect the mic by putting the cords UNDER clothing IF on VIDEO. I also have a new mic with a stand and adjustable arm. I'll be talking about using that soon. BOOM - my youtube videos are going to improve immensely.
