Bio:
Thanhhà Lại is the New York Times-bestselling and National Book Award-winning author of Inside Out & Back Again, Listen, Slowly and most recently Butterfly Yellow, a YA debut the New York Times called a “radiant pearl of a book.” She came to Alabama as a 10-year-old refugee after the Vietnam War ended in 1975. Before writing fiction, she was a journalist in California and taught writing at The New School. She lives in New York with her family and three dogs.
