00:00:01.562 --> 00:00:06.032
What's up, my good people, welcome to the CJ Money Way show Today.

00:00:06.032 --> 00:00:18.045
Welcome to the show a woman who has a doctorate in chiropractor, bachelor's degree in nutrition and published author, dr Lynn Carey.

00:00:18.045 --> 00:00:19.327
How you doing today, lynn?

00:00:20.109 --> 00:00:21.231
I'm doing great CJ.

00:00:21.231 --> 00:00:21.792
How are you?

00:00:22.393 --> 00:00:22.993
I'm fine.

00:00:22.993 --> 00:00:24.603
Thank you for joining the show today.

00:00:25.306 --> 00:00:26.268
Thank you for having me.

00:00:26.268 --> 00:00:27.150
It's an honor to be here.

00:00:36.540 --> 00:00:37.685
I appreciate it.

00:00:37.685 --> 00:00:40.579
So before we get started, can you just explain to us and tell us what inspired you to become a chiropractor?

00:00:40.579 --> 00:00:51.017
Yeah, I really believe it was a divine calling, because when I was a teenager I ended up having spinal surgery for scoliosis and it left me sick and in pain for years that the medical world didn't know how to help me.

00:00:51.017 --> 00:00:56.112
You know, every time I went to a doctor I kept asking why do I keep getting sick, why do I keep having pain?

00:00:56.112 --> 00:00:59.875
And they just kept writing me another prescription and it didn't help.

00:00:59.875 --> 00:01:00.698
Nothing helped.

00:01:00.698 --> 00:01:02.301
So I just thought I was going to have to live like that.

00:01:02.301 --> 00:01:15.289
And while I was in college, just trying to find myself because I was programmed to go to college to be successful, I was in there, not knowing what to do with my life, and someone told me to look into chiropractic as a profession.

00:01:15.289 --> 00:01:16.310
I didn't know what it was.

00:01:16.310 --> 00:01:25.596
I just read the pamphlet and it's part of the philosophy of chiropractic healing was acknowledging that the power that made the body heals the body.

00:01:26.376 --> 00:01:26.456
And.

00:01:26.496 --> 00:01:30.438
I thought how come no one has ever said that to me all this time?

00:01:30.438 --> 00:01:36.376
So I looked into it and it just sounded amazing and something told me to just go.

00:01:36.376 --> 00:01:38.061
I just went to chiropractic school.

00:01:38.061 --> 00:01:41.950
I didn't even get adjusted until I got there, but the rest is history.

00:01:41.950 --> 00:01:43.673
It completely changed my life.

00:01:44.695 --> 00:01:47.100
Oh, okay, so how long have you been doing it?

00:01:48.724 --> 00:01:52.310
Well, I graduated in 1997.

00:01:52.349 --> 00:01:55.495
Oh, long time, long time we all want to know your age.

00:01:55.495 --> 00:02:02.290
So tell us what is the homeschooling process like?

00:02:10.879 --> 00:02:12.263
the homeschooling process, like From homeschooling my son.

00:02:12.263 --> 00:02:15.911
Yes, you know it was something that in the chiropractic world everything is natural and I heard a lot of.

00:02:15.911 --> 00:02:21.831
I had other students that were there that were raised by chiropractors right, their parents were already chiropractors.

00:02:21.831 --> 00:02:27.092
So they went, they were in a natural world and they just didn't like our school system and they were homeschooled.

00:02:27.092 --> 00:02:32.861
I was like, oh my gosh, that sounds amazing because I hated school and you know.

00:02:32.883 --> 00:02:41.750
And then when I got out I knew there was a lot of things that they didn't teach me about becoming financially free, just a lot of life skills, things like that, that were missing from our system.

00:02:41.750 --> 00:02:44.748
So I just knew I wanted something different for my son.

00:02:44.748 --> 00:02:55.167
So I just decided to figure it out as I went along and he'll be 18 in June and it really is not that complicated.

00:02:55.167 --> 00:02:56.830
You know you can kind of do anything that you want.

00:02:56.830 --> 00:03:02.110
People think you have to have all these things to grow up, but you know you don't.

00:03:02.110 --> 00:03:11.989
You know you can kind of learn what you want and I always wanted to teach him things that were practical for the world, number one being coming financially free.

00:03:12.669 --> 00:03:17.215
Okay, so you homeschooled him from you know kindergarten on up.

00:03:18.415 --> 00:03:20.600
I did and you know it was cool.

00:03:20.600 --> 00:03:27.731
I always gave him the choice because I said if you want to go to regular school, because he would see his friends from the neighborhood go to school, you can go.

00:03:27.731 --> 00:03:31.163
You know, I always just wanted that's the thing I think about.

00:03:31.163 --> 00:03:43.885
What truly is parenting, homeschooling, in my opinion, is to let the person know they have a voice, their opinion matters, their perspective matters, make them think for themselves, you know.

00:03:43.885 --> 00:03:47.784
So I always gave him choices and I said if you want to go to school, you can.

00:03:47.784 --> 00:03:49.188
And so he shadowed.

00:03:49.229 --> 00:03:53.486
I remember in third grade he went to school just for the day to see how it was.

00:03:53.486 --> 00:03:55.632
And he came out and I love it.

00:03:55.632 --> 00:04:08.465
And I was like, oh my God, I didn't expect him to love it, because I didn't like being in there all day and I was a good student, honor roll A's, like I worked my butt off, I worried all the time.

00:04:08.465 --> 00:04:10.149
So he ended up going to school.

00:04:10.149 --> 00:04:25.406
Uh, for third grade he had an amazing experience and I but he wasn't up to par on reading like I wouldn't push him to be on certain levels when we would do our work, because I just thought let things come naturally, he doesn't have to follow what they consider normal.

00:04:25.406 --> 00:04:28.677
You know, I didn't want him to hate reading, so that was one thing.

00:04:28.697 --> 00:04:33.093
Like he didn't know how to read and he was going into um third grade.

00:04:33.093 --> 00:04:36.665
So I thought for the teacher conference I'm going to hear it like I was waiting for.

00:04:36.665 --> 00:04:41.461
You know the reprimand that you're look, look what you're doing to your kid.

00:04:41.461 --> 00:04:45.358
Instead I got what are you doing with your son?

00:04:45.358 --> 00:04:48.045
Because we wish other students were like him.

00:04:48.045 --> 00:04:54.728
He loves to learn, he thinks has the bigger picture, he asks all these questions and the reading part's no big deal.

00:04:54.728 --> 00:04:56.240
We can catch him up to speed, no problem.

00:04:56.240 --> 00:04:58.264
I was like, oh, amazing.

00:04:58.264 --> 00:05:02.482
So it kind of gave me confirmation that, yeah, I think we're on the right track.

00:05:03.084 --> 00:05:05.009
Okay, that's cool, that's cool.

00:05:05.009 --> 00:05:10.309
So do we have a major or anything that he's going off to school to do?

00:05:11.711 --> 00:05:13.795
No, he's not in school now.

00:05:13.795 --> 00:05:15.666
He only went for like a year and a half.

00:05:15.666 --> 00:05:16.992
Then we went back to homeschool.

00:05:16.992 --> 00:05:24.069
He is learning trading right now on an online course, so that's what he's doing right now okay, that's cool.

00:05:24.649 --> 00:05:28.021
So, um, can you tell us a little bit about your book?

00:05:28.021 --> 00:05:32.112
Uh, my journey to grace yeah.

00:05:32.172 --> 00:05:36.944
So I always thought that maybe I would share my story because I've done a lot of things.

00:05:37.084 --> 00:05:50.250
After learning to heal myself and becoming a chiropractor, I questioned a lot of the mainstream systems with money, with education, with relationships, just everything and I found a lot of answers to other things.

00:05:50.370 --> 00:06:00.327
So I always I was figuring out business and doing my entrepreneurial adventures and I always thought maybe down the road I would write a book about my story.

00:06:00.327 --> 00:06:04.607
But four years ago, when we had lockdowns, I knew something wasn't right.

00:06:04.607 --> 00:06:14.531
I knew how health works and I knew it just didn't all add up what they were telling us and I was really upset with the fear that people were living in at the time.

00:06:14.531 --> 00:06:27.283
That wasn't doing them any good to live in that kind of fear and I thought, well, maybe this is the time to share my healing story, because I thought if people felt empowered about their health the way I do, it would help change things.

00:06:27.283 --> 00:06:29.451
So I just decided to write my story about healing.

00:06:29.451 --> 00:06:30.601
That's what it is.

00:06:30.601 --> 00:06:34.552
It's just my own personal healing story and finding grace.

00:06:34.552 --> 00:06:48.843
I had an awakening experience of really tapping into higher vibrations that I believe are here for us, but society keeps us in such a fear frequency, you know, but the healing frequency really is in the higher love, happiness, inspiration, vibration.

00:06:48.843 --> 00:06:51.391
And I, and I share that experience in my book.

00:06:52.562 --> 00:06:59.932
Yeah, you said something about you know what you give where the things that you went through with your personal health.

00:06:59.932 --> 00:07:04.360
It helped you and it gave you insight to help others.

00:07:04.360 --> 00:07:06.487
Can you explain that a little bit to us?

00:07:07.740 --> 00:07:15.041
Yeah, you know, I think I became a really good chiropractor because of my own pain and struggle that I went through.

00:07:15.041 --> 00:07:24.971
I really believe I saw a difference in my perception and understanding and knowing versus maybe other colleagues or people who went to school with me.

00:07:24.971 --> 00:07:31.822
You know I saw we both got the same degree but what was our level of experience and skill and knowing right when we got out?

00:07:31.822 --> 00:07:41.629
And I really believe, because of all the struggle I went through with my back and my immune system, because I walked the walk, I had the confidence.

00:07:41.629 --> 00:07:48.052
You know, when someone came into me with pain, I wasn't, I didn't feel fear for them, like I understood what they were going through.

00:07:48.052 --> 00:07:52.696
I had more compassion and I had the confidence to tell them that you're going to get through this.

00:07:52.696 --> 00:07:55.649
You know that the pain is okay, you can walk through this.

00:07:55.649 --> 00:07:57.173
It's, it's part of the healing.

00:07:57.173 --> 00:08:04.754
So it I lost a lot of the fear that comes from dis-ease and all the health stuff because of my own journey.

00:08:05.735 --> 00:08:06.295
Oh, okay.

00:08:06.295 --> 00:08:20.750
So I see what you said now, that because you can be in touch with how somebody feels and the compassion that you have, it makes you even want to go even harder to help them, because you knew the things that you went through yourself.

00:08:20.750 --> 00:08:25.562
So I mean I guess it's just like you know education and things of that nature too.

00:08:25.562 --> 00:08:30.040
You have to really care you do Absolutely.

00:08:30.079 --> 00:08:31.362
Yeah, I mean I think everything.

00:08:31.362 --> 00:08:33.277
People should be in it for the right reasons.

00:08:33.277 --> 00:08:35.597
You know I always want to make a difference for people.

00:08:35.597 --> 00:08:37.376
I've always wanted to find a better way.

00:08:37.376 --> 00:08:40.389
It's my natural instinct.

00:08:40.389 --> 00:08:40.951
You know.

00:08:40.951 --> 00:08:44.878
If I know something, it's like how can you not share with somebody else that there's a better way?

00:08:45.840 --> 00:08:48.344
can you not share with somebody else that there's a better way?

00:08:48.344 --> 00:09:00.383
Yeah, yeah, and like you say, because a lot of times when we figure out stuff and we get things of our own, we like to keep it to ourselves without sharing.

00:09:00.383 --> 00:09:00.984
So I appreciate that.

00:09:00.984 --> 00:09:06.922
So, on top of that, you have a mentorship program entitled Healthy Habits.

00:09:06.922 --> 00:09:09.650
Can you explain a little bit about that to us?

00:09:10.932 --> 00:09:11.153
Yeah.

00:09:11.153 --> 00:09:24.542
So I think one of the ways that you really can take control of your health and your healing you know I can adjust you all day long, but it's really, I believe, the inner work that you need to do on yourself and on your life to take control of your health and your well-being.

00:09:24.542 --> 00:09:43.962
So I just help people create healthy habits with the products they use, the nutrition that they put in their body, and really get in touch with their mental stress level and their mindset and how they're thinking about what they're doing with their health, with their life, with different things, Because it's all interconnected.

00:09:43.962 --> 00:09:53.065
I really believe the stress level that you live in your life is really what dictates how you feel and the wellness that you're going to experience.

00:09:53.065 --> 00:10:11.875
So I just help people you know connect some dots in their own life to become more in tune, to become their own best doctor, to kind of play detective on what's causing the stress in their life and creating maybe the symptoms or things that they don't want in their body and change it to what they do want.

00:10:13.139 --> 00:10:13.620
Okay.

00:10:13.620 --> 00:10:21.710
So, like in the program, you speak of things, certain things that you should eat, certain things that you should drink.

00:10:21.710 --> 00:10:25.158
Okay, so let me ask you a question because I'm an energy drinker person.

00:10:25.158 --> 00:10:27.389
I love Rippets me.

00:10:27.389 --> 00:10:30.937
Ask you a question because I'm an energy drinker person I love rippets.

00:10:30.937 --> 00:10:32.178
Should I take that out of my equation?

00:10:32.178 --> 00:10:33.020
What do you love, rippets?

00:10:33.041 --> 00:10:35.289
the energy drink rippets okay, I never heard of that one.

00:10:35.289 --> 00:10:41.322
My my whole thing is that you really should be aware of how chemicalized is the product.

00:10:41.322 --> 00:10:41.870
You know.

00:10:41.870 --> 00:10:43.374
Are you drinking chemicals all day long?

00:10:43.374 --> 00:10:45.759
Are you just drinking things that are natural?

00:10:45.759 --> 00:10:49.668
And that's that's you?

00:10:49.668 --> 00:10:51.976
Your body is going to respond better to the natural thing.

00:10:51.976 --> 00:11:02.471
It's not that you have to do it all the time, but it should be more frequent than not, where you put more natural things in your body so do that go with also the food?

00:11:02.511 --> 00:11:04.592
so should we be eating more organic?

00:11:04.592 --> 00:11:06.913
Your opinion, your opinion?

00:11:06.913 --> 00:11:13.356
Organic foods or is fried foods okay, or should we take that out of our diets?

00:11:14.557 --> 00:11:21.120
I think you should detox until you get really in tune with what you want.

00:11:21.120 --> 00:11:28.462
If you feel good, if you're in perfect health I don't know how you're judging what your health is.

00:11:28.462 --> 00:11:30.344
You know, how are you judging what your health is?

00:11:30.344 --> 00:11:31.345
You feel good every day?

00:11:31.345 --> 00:11:37.567
If you don't, then it's one aspect is to look at what are you putting in your body, you know?

00:11:37.567 --> 00:11:40.009
Do I think you should be strict all the time?

00:11:40.009 --> 00:11:46.782
No, because I think that's just as harmful, because I think that causes just as much stress.

00:11:46.782 --> 00:11:55.238
You should enjoy what you're eating, but you also should be get to the place where you can feel your natural rhythm.

00:11:55.258 --> 00:11:56.905
For instance, I know I feel like I'm guided moment to moment to what my body needs.

00:11:56.905 --> 00:12:01.759
Sometimes it's a heavier meal, sometimes I'm craving more vegetables, sometimes I'm craving more water or fluid.

00:12:01.759 --> 00:12:02.501
Do you know what I'm saying?

00:12:02.501 --> 00:12:04.474
Because I'm pretty detox.

00:12:04.474 --> 00:12:04.975
I don't feel like I'm.

00:12:04.975 --> 00:12:06.241
I don't have a lot of toxic buildup, so I'm pretty detoxed.

00:12:06.241 --> 00:12:11.778
I don't feel like I don't have a lot of toxic buildup, so I'm pretty clear and I'm in tune with my body's natural cravings.

00:12:11.778 --> 00:12:14.111
Well, I have dessert, yeah, but I don't overeat.

00:12:14.111 --> 00:12:15.215
I eat when I'm full.

00:12:15.215 --> 00:12:17.541
I mean, I eat till I'm full, like I stop.

00:12:17.541 --> 00:12:19.232
You know there's a lot of factors.

00:12:19.232 --> 00:12:26.147
It's not just what you're putting in, because I see people trying to cut things out and and then they go, even like they're.

00:12:26.147 --> 00:12:28.934
They're drinking diet drinks and I'm like they're full of chemicals.

00:12:29.015 --> 00:12:35.155
They're not even healthy so I think people are very misguided on what is considered health.

00:12:35.155 --> 00:12:45.359
I like to bring people back to more of a natural way of doing things okay, so so I just my last question this.

00:12:46.059 --> 00:12:49.485
So it's like being overweight sometimes.

00:12:49.485 --> 00:12:53.110
Does that cause a problem with your back, with back issues?

00:12:53.110 --> 00:13:00.278
Because I know I have back issues at times and it's been said that I, you know you go get on the scale and everything and say obese.

00:13:00.278 --> 00:13:07.563
And so I just want to know is that, is that part of, probably part of my problem, the lingering problem that I have?

00:13:07.563 --> 00:13:20.894
Because with back pain they come and go and so you go to the chiropractor, you get it, get it popped, get it cracked, go three, four times and then you feel it fine and then later on down the line that issue reoccurs itself.

00:13:20.894 --> 00:13:24.783
So could it be overweight at times that causes certain issues?

00:13:25.890 --> 00:13:29.476
Yeah, I mean, for some people it could be and others it may not be.

00:13:29.476 --> 00:13:35.897
More likely, yeah, if you have more weight on your body than is probably healthy for your structure, it's going to cause stress.

00:13:35.897 --> 00:13:46.513
But also there's going to be factors in your physical motion, how you move your body, the stress level that you feel, because you can store emotions in your back.

00:13:46.513 --> 00:13:52.773
I know low back sometimes when it goes out, it can be related to money issues, it can be related to relationship issues.

00:13:52.773 --> 00:13:56.981
So you know, you could take two people who are obese.

00:13:56.981 --> 00:13:58.671
They're both obese.

00:13:58.671 --> 00:14:00.395
One may have back pain, one may not.

00:14:00.395 --> 00:14:02.000
Why is it different for each person?

00:14:02.000 --> 00:14:13.020
It depends on also the obesity may be causing something, but there's also, I'm sure, emotional connections there from stressful situations that manifest as pain.

00:14:13.020 --> 00:14:14.102
That's why it comes and goes.

00:14:15.530 --> 00:14:18.638
You know, that's one I never heard of before.

00:14:18.638 --> 00:14:23.934
I guess that's why we got the good doctor on the day.

00:14:23.934 --> 00:14:29.504
Back issues can actually be caused from stress about money issues or relationship issues.

00:14:29.504 --> 00:14:32.278
I guess I do know why my back hurts a lot.

00:14:37.410 --> 00:14:41.500
That was a good one, I like that and that's why you see that a lot of times.

00:14:41.500 --> 00:14:42.706
That's why does it come and go?

00:14:42.706 --> 00:14:44.591
Why is sometimes it's worse than others.

00:14:44.591 --> 00:14:54.682
So that's why I have people journal pay attention to when you feel things, when you're symptomatic, when you're not, because you start connecting the dots in your life, your body's speaking to you for a reason.

00:14:54.682 --> 00:15:01.653
It could be that you're overweight, it could be you have too many toxins in your diet, it could be money, it could be relationships.

00:15:01.653 --> 00:15:06.461
So that's why you have to kind of pay attention to the whole picture of your life.

00:15:06.461 --> 00:15:10.336
It's hard to compartmentalize because everything affects everything.

00:15:11.359 --> 00:15:11.841
Okay.

00:15:12.081 --> 00:15:12.883
Yeah, that's a good one.

00:15:13.571 --> 00:15:17.120
That's one to grow on right there, so I'm going to put that one in my memory bank.

00:15:17.120 --> 00:15:26.054
So, speaking of that now, this is a subject that a lot of people we kind of miss and that you know we don't like to touch on.

00:15:26.054 --> 00:15:29.813
So tell us a little bit about your spiritual growth journey.

00:15:32.839 --> 00:15:40.623
Well, I guess the more I got in tune with my body, when you get adjusted, for instance, we're working with energy.

00:15:40.623 --> 00:15:45.760
I mean, when I first got adjusted, it was very physical.

00:15:45.760 --> 00:15:47.707
You know, I just wanted to hear the bone crack.

00:15:47.707 --> 00:15:49.576
I just wanted to feel the adjustment.

00:15:49.576 --> 00:15:52.187
I wanted to be better right after I felt it.

00:15:52.187 --> 00:15:53.871
Even though that wasn't my experience, I still.

00:15:53.871 --> 00:15:55.134
I actually had more pain.

00:15:55.176 --> 00:15:59.894
It was a process this whole thing, because the healing isn't usually a quick fix.

00:15:59.894 --> 00:16:04.270
It's usually a journey of untangling energetic patterns in the body.

00:16:04.270 --> 00:16:08.100
The more I worked on people, I realized we're all energy.

00:16:08.100 --> 00:16:14.631
So the more you get in tune with your body, the more sometimes you have to feel, and a lot of times we don't want to feel things.

00:16:14.631 --> 00:16:22.355
We're afraid of certain emotions, we're afraid of maybe stuck trauma from childhood stuff, things that we don't want to touch on.

00:16:22.355 --> 00:16:29.265
But actually if we let all that come up, it can release and your vibration is higher.

00:16:29.370 --> 00:16:34.162
So you know, I would say what actually is doing the healing in the body, it's the life force.

00:16:34.162 --> 00:16:35.996
There's a life force running your body.

00:16:35.996 --> 00:16:39.154
All our organs are working right now as we sit here and talk.

00:16:39.154 --> 00:16:40.720
We're not consciously controlling.

00:16:40.720 --> 00:16:46.602
Can you imagine if we had to like make sure our heart was beating and our lungs were breathing as we're having this conversation.

00:16:46.602 --> 00:16:49.921
We couldn't do it, so and when we take that for granted.

00:16:49.921 --> 00:16:53.533
So it's like your body is always making itself new.

00:16:54.195 --> 00:17:04.952
So it's really an energetic experience and the clearer you are, I believe your vibration goes into a higher frequency and I believe that's connected to we, get connected to our spirituality.

00:17:04.952 --> 00:17:10.756
You know who we are as a person, our source we are, we are a higher being.

00:17:10.756 --> 00:17:13.182
You know we're, we're a spiritual being having a human experience.

00:17:13.182 --> 00:17:22.638
So you start to feel more and the more stuff you clear, the more stress that you clear, the layers of stuff that are suppressed, or trauma whatever.

00:17:22.638 --> 00:17:27.997
When that clears, you just feel happier, lighter, right, more energized.

00:17:28.838 --> 00:17:31.392
That, to me, is that's what happened to me.

00:17:31.392 --> 00:17:32.535
I just had my awakening.

00:17:32.535 --> 00:17:40.721
It was I had a spiritual experience and I realized we can have life from this higher place of really being blissed out.

00:17:40.721 --> 00:17:41.443
That's normal.

00:17:41.443 --> 00:17:47.153
I think that's why people drink, that's why people take drugs, because you feel a lift in your, in your spirit, right.

00:17:47.153 --> 00:17:52.511
But it's not natural because then you crash and a lot of times you get you're dependent on the drug or the alcohol.

00:17:52.511 --> 00:17:57.785
It creates a depression after, because really we have that natural state within us.

00:17:57.785 --> 00:18:12.013
So the clearer you are, you can really start living your life from those higher vibrations and life starts to get really good and you can start to create whatever you want in your life with your intention, with a clearer focus, with a clear intention, a new perspective.

00:18:12.013 --> 00:18:14.123
I really believe that is our natural state.

00:18:15.336 --> 00:18:16.361
Yeah, I agree.

00:18:16.361 --> 00:18:46.867
I totally agree with you, especially when you talk about the habits that people begin to take as far as drinking and drugs, because, at the end of the day, once you get done with appreciate, that too, is that being in touch with your spiritual side, your spiritual being, and know that it's something greater than we are.

00:18:46.867 --> 00:19:02.630
Because, as you say, you know, if it wasn't me and you wouldn't be able to be sitting here talking to one another, and we know that one day, that you know one day you won't be able to talk to somebody and it won't be because of your own will.

00:19:02.630 --> 00:19:05.203
So I agree with you on that note.

00:19:05.203 --> 00:19:13.848
So what was it that was eye opening to you, that first happened to you when you first opened up your practice?

00:19:16.615 --> 00:19:20.145
I realized that no one had taught me anything about money or business.

00:19:20.145 --> 00:19:22.059
You know, I just opened.

00:19:22.059 --> 00:19:23.484
I was kind of ignorance on fire.

00:19:23.484 --> 00:19:27.086
You know, I just want to open up my practice because I wanted to practice on principle.

00:19:27.086 --> 00:19:31.595
I didn't want to put more fear into people that they had to come see me all the time.

00:19:31.595 --> 00:19:37.708
I didn't want to do insurance because I didn't like what they wanted.

00:19:37.708 --> 00:19:39.321
They wanted to dictate how I practiced.

00:19:39.321 --> 00:19:41.576
They wanted me to fix people.

00:19:41.576 --> 00:19:42.861
They wanted to turn me into a medical model.

00:19:42.921 --> 00:19:43.121
It was.

00:19:43.121 --> 00:19:44.265
It was about wellness.

00:19:44.265 --> 00:19:45.317
I knew how I healed.

00:19:45.317 --> 00:19:46.943
It wasn't a quick fix.

00:19:46.943 --> 00:19:49.815
I wasn't trying I'm not trying to cure anybody or fix symptoms.

00:19:49.815 --> 00:19:53.346
So I really wanted to practice on principle.

00:19:53.346 --> 00:20:05.618
And so I just realized I'm like, oh, now I have to get people here in my practice and I'm like, now they're going to think I'm telling them to come to me because I have to make money, like that just didn't feel good, you know.

00:20:05.618 --> 00:20:13.007
And then I thought about well, how many people do I have to adjust to just pay the rent in my office or, you know, all my other life expenses?

00:20:13.007 --> 00:20:14.575
And I thought this is crazy.

00:20:14.575 --> 00:20:19.699
No wonder people do things for money that aren't right, even compromising their principles.

00:20:19.699 --> 00:20:21.599
So I started reading.

00:20:21.599 --> 00:20:28.285
I figured I had to start to teach myself about money, and I read Rich Dad, poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

00:20:28.285 --> 00:20:29.806
Are you familiar with that?

00:20:29.826 --> 00:20:30.946
book.

00:20:30.946 --> 00:20:39.392
That's one of the most popular books out right now, you know you see, that everywhere the programs, the books and a lot of people say it changed their lives.

00:20:39.772 --> 00:20:50.890
Yeah, I mean, the way chiropractic changed the way I viewed health is the way that book I forever changed the way I looked at money and I realized that we have to not just be trading time for money.

00:20:50.974 --> 00:20:57.498
We have to start to learn to build multiple streams of income and asset wealth and understand economics.

00:20:57.498 --> 00:21:13.201
And understand that Because for me it was important, because I realized money was kind of dictating all the choices I made in life and I often realized that's what was happening to people, that I was seeing what was one of the stress, most stressful things that they dealt with money.

00:21:13.201 --> 00:21:17.980
You know, they went to a job every day, whether they liked it or not, to pay their bills.

00:21:17.980 --> 00:21:20.616
It dictated how they took care of their health.

00:21:20.616 --> 00:21:31.627
It dictated how the choices of food they ate, whether they could afford organic or not, whether they could afford holistic treatments or not if insurance didn't pay.

00:21:31.627 --> 00:21:34.921
It dictated how much time they had to spend with their kids.

00:21:34.921 --> 00:21:43.086
It's important, but yet a lot of people never took the time to learn or to get themselves out of what he calls the rat race.

00:21:43.086 --> 00:21:47.507
But I realized that was part of a big part of our well-being.

00:21:49.736 --> 00:21:53.681
That makes a lot of sense, especially because money it does.

00:21:53.681 --> 00:22:11.505
It dictates a lot of things that you do, like you say, sometimes you wake up and go to a job that you really don't want to go to, but because you got to pay the bill, because you got to put food on the table, it dictates what you have to do.

00:22:11.505 --> 00:22:16.421
I never forget, when I was younger, my father I never forget him telling me.

00:22:16.421 --> 00:22:22.640
He said, man, he said, go to school and get you an education so you can have a career.

00:22:22.640 --> 00:22:36.372
You know, like yourself, have a career that you wake up every day and enjoy going to do, instead of having to have a job that you still got to wake up every day and go to that you don't want to.

00:22:36.372 --> 00:22:42.804
So that always stuck with me when he told me that, when you said that it's kind of reminiscent.

00:22:43.286 --> 00:22:47.057
I really think our spirit is to be happy If you can find something that you like to do.

00:22:47.057 --> 00:22:54.663
Even better yet, if you can create up multiple streams of income where you can do what you want every day because you're free to do it.

00:22:54.663 --> 00:22:56.367
That's, I think, true living.

00:22:56.367 --> 00:22:59.826
I really believe that because people don't want to connect the dots.

00:22:59.826 --> 00:23:04.461
But I'm like, if you're going to a job that you hate every day and you don't have a plan B to get out, guess what?

00:23:04.461 --> 00:23:09.162
Eventually your body's probably going to break down because you're not listening.

00:23:09.162 --> 00:23:16.520
You know like you're all that stress energy, all that suppressed energy of all that dread every day.

00:23:16.520 --> 00:23:21.449
Your body stores it, so eventually it can come out as disease in the body.

00:23:23.195 --> 00:23:32.398
And you know, I agree with you too on that note, because, like, one thing that I always say is that we always talk about how we want to make a million dollars.

00:23:32.398 --> 00:23:41.047
That was, that was the big thing then, and we talk I want a million dollars, but what are you actually doing to try to get a million dollars?

00:23:41.047 --> 00:23:42.961
That's the big question.

00:23:42.961 --> 00:23:55.855
We all wish that we was wealthy and had all the money that we could have and, like you say, live accordingly to the way that we want to and this and that, but what are you doing to get to that point?

00:23:55.855 --> 00:24:04.567
If I'm not doing nothing to try to get that extra, that stream of income that I'm dreaming about, then it's just mute conversation.

00:24:06.795 --> 00:24:14.097
And can you know the other part that I've learned and this is for my own journey of trying to get myself straight financially?

00:24:14.097 --> 00:24:34.385
What happens is the journey towards the million dollars is actually just as important or more important than having a million dollars, because you have to uncover all those limiting beliefs of lack, poverty, consciousness, all those things that you hold yourself back, that we were probably raised in the culture or your family or whatever.

00:24:34.385 --> 00:24:37.727
That is really dis-eased energy in the body.

00:24:37.727 --> 00:24:40.788
We are abundant beings but you have to.

00:24:40.788 --> 00:24:49.031
You know, somebody can just throw a million dollars in your lap, but if you haven't done the work in order to hold that million dollars do you know what I'm saying?

00:24:49.031 --> 00:24:54.334
To hold the energy space of that million dollars, it can cause just as much stress.

00:24:54.334 --> 00:25:02.434
So I believe the journey of creating the financial freedom is working to become financially free in the mind, you know.

00:25:03.255 --> 00:25:29.301
Yeah, you know, boy, I guess we probably go on this forever and ever, because I understand what you're saying on that, because a lot of times when things are given to you and you haven't worked for it, you don't understand the trials and tribulations of certain things and like, like, like you say, the journey, there's some things when you striving for that, for that pride, uh, for that chiropractic doctor, and then you're going to school.

00:25:29.301 --> 00:25:48.182
It's going to be some ups and downs, it's going to be some some trials that you go through some days that you want to give up, but it's that inner, like you said, that inner being, that inner, that inner energy that keeps you moving forward and it makes you appreciate things better when you go through the journey.

00:25:48.934 --> 00:25:51.102
It's who you become in the journey.

00:25:51.321 --> 00:25:58.278
It's everything Mm-hmm, and I believe that, and so let's get off of that, because we can stay on that one all day.

00:25:58.278 --> 00:26:08.971
So tell me, what do you recommend that a person start off from to start their healing journey?

00:26:10.195 --> 00:26:14.467
Yeah, I think one of the easiest things you can do is become aware of what you want.

00:26:14.467 --> 00:26:18.425
So I think putting pen to paper is really important.

00:26:18.425 --> 00:26:22.987
I believe that is something very healing that happens for your brain when you actually put pen to paper.

00:26:22.987 --> 00:26:25.523
I know we're so technology focused today.

00:26:25.523 --> 00:26:31.747
We put stuff on our phone, but if you actually get pen and paper and write, the writing is stirs up a creative process also.

00:26:31.747 --> 00:26:32.428
It's very healing.

00:26:33.615 --> 00:26:38.115
And just start asking yourself am I living my desired life, like?

00:26:38.115 --> 00:26:40.182
Is everything in my life the way I want it to be?

00:26:40.182 --> 00:26:41.999
And if it's not, what's?

00:26:41.999 --> 00:26:43.261
What would you change?

00:26:43.261 --> 00:26:45.666
Or what do you want your life to look?

00:26:45.666 --> 00:26:46.516
Like, like.

00:26:46.516 --> 00:26:57.999
And if that's too big for some people to answer, I think the only reason it may be too big for somebody to answer is because a lot of people don't believe that they can actually have what they want right.

00:26:57.999 --> 00:27:00.546
What they dream is their ideal life.

00:27:00.546 --> 00:27:02.161
They think it's too good to be true.

00:27:02.161 --> 00:27:09.804
But you have to acknowledge what you want because eventually, I believe what happens is you start getting signs to how to get there.

00:27:09.804 --> 00:27:11.840
Little pieces show up.

00:27:11.840 --> 00:27:17.634
You can write down inspiration If you don't know what you want your life to look like, yet you can start.

00:27:17.594 --> 00:27:18.994
Another great place to start is just making a gratitude list.

00:27:18.994 --> 00:27:19.555
What are the blessings in your life to look like?

00:27:19.555 --> 00:27:19.675
Yet you can start.

00:27:19.675 --> 00:27:21.258
Another great place to start is just making a gratitude list.

00:27:21.258 --> 00:27:25.375
What are the blessings in your life now, things that you're grateful for each day?

00:27:25.375 --> 00:27:26.578
Start with a list of five.

00:27:26.680 --> 00:27:38.079
I used to do like start with five things and my list grew to like 25 things a day and I realized it shifted my focus from looking at what was wrong with my life to what was right.

00:27:38.079 --> 00:27:45.468
And the more you start looking at what is right, the more you start attracting pieces into your life that make it more right.

00:27:45.468 --> 00:27:51.396
You know more opportunities, the best people, things show up that you need, information that you need shows up.

00:27:51.396 --> 00:27:57.138
The book, the podcast, the person, whatever the message you need will find you and you start getting answers.

00:27:57.138 --> 00:28:02.730
You start creating a picture and one thing leads to to another and that's really how you start creating your best life.

00:28:02.730 --> 00:28:04.255
So the journaling is everything.

00:28:04.255 --> 00:28:11.959
It's just writing down ideas, writing down gratitude, things that you appreciate, um, things that you think were remarkable.

00:28:11.959 --> 00:28:12.922
That happens in the day.

00:28:12.922 --> 00:28:15.667
They become more, more common.

00:28:15.827 --> 00:28:32.291
That becomes your norm and I think that's how we build a desired life and, and I believe I believe that too, because we say with the spiritual being, I know somewhere it says that write the vision down plain so that they who see it you know.

00:28:32.291 --> 00:28:35.419
So you have to write that vision down, write that thing down.

00:28:35.419 --> 00:29:11.055
I remember I was told once before to start writing things down, as you said, like things that I may wish for and hoping for, that that wasn't going to come at that moment, but put it in my wallet, you know, and then once things start checking out, like wow, it was four years later but I got that car that I wanted, or I got, I never forget, um, me and my wife, we were staying in a, a town, a condo, and so I had wrote on the wall on, I wrote on the you know like little sticky notes or whatever.

00:29:11.055 --> 00:29:28.578
So I wrote on the sticky note, um, the vision and what we, when I was, was, you know, lord, open, expand, you know, expand our territory, and I think that it stayed on there for like seven, eight years and eventually he expanded our territory.

00:29:28.598 --> 00:29:33.681
So it's, it's the things that you, you put out there in the atmosphere and these are the things that you striving for.

00:29:33.681 --> 00:29:36.126
And then, once it happens, like you say, it's like.

00:29:36.126 --> 00:29:42.143
These are the things that I'm grateful for, because I know that he would answer your prayer.

00:29:42.143 --> 00:29:58.784
It don't come when you may want it, because it's a journey and you have to a lot of things is a test of fortitude to see how far you will go, because if I, if I, can't be faithful over a little things, how can I be faithful over a lot?

00:29:58.784 --> 00:30:02.170
And so so I you know you need to become.

00:30:02.255 --> 00:30:06.394
We don't always understand the end result yet, right, but it's who we need to become.

00:30:06.394 --> 00:30:08.520
We don't see the things holding us back.

00:30:08.520 --> 00:30:12.000
Otherwise, obviously, there would be no nothing to, there'd be no journey.

00:30:12.000 --> 00:30:13.344
I mean, that's why we're here in life.

00:30:13.344 --> 00:30:16.358
I really we're here to learn, to be create our heaven on earth.

00:30:16.358 --> 00:30:17.359
I really believe that.

00:30:17.740 --> 00:30:22.969
Yeah, yeah, I believe you too, and so my last question I'm gonna ask you on this.

00:30:22.969 --> 00:30:26.682
So what are the biggest obstacles?

00:30:26.682 --> 00:30:35.266
That we just talked about the beginning of your healing journey, so what are the biggest obstacles on starting your self-healing journey?

00:30:36.756 --> 00:30:40.669
I think it's our fear, our belief system.

00:30:40.669 --> 00:30:41.653
What are our beliefs?

00:30:41.653 --> 00:30:48.096
Do we have more belief in something outside of us that's hurting us, or do we have faith in the healing power within the body?

00:30:48.096 --> 00:30:50.761
You know, I mean, we're tested.

00:30:50.761 --> 00:30:54.655
You're tested when you have any kind of health crisis disease.

00:30:54.655 --> 00:30:58.702
It's an opportunity for awakening Financial crisis, relationship crisis, disease.

00:30:58.702 --> 00:31:06.020
It's an opportunity for awakening financial crisis, relationship crisis, any kind of challenge that comes in our life.

00:31:06.020 --> 00:31:08.386
It really can be your biggest blessing.

00:31:08.386 --> 00:31:11.321
I mean, that's what I look at how my health journey was.

00:31:11.321 --> 00:31:14.115
It's my biggest blessing because I'm so free now health-wise.

00:31:14.115 --> 00:31:16.019
There's not anything that can scare me.

00:31:16.019 --> 00:31:17.663
But I went.

00:31:17.663 --> 00:31:20.969
I went through it, you know, I went through it and it was years.

00:31:20.969 --> 00:31:37.479
So anything that you're challenged by today, it's overcoming the fear, turning it into faith, turning it into something better, turning it into an awakening to become better, to become a better person, to become empowered.

00:31:37.479 --> 00:31:39.986
It that it comes down to all of that.

00:31:39.986 --> 00:31:40.715
That's what I believe.

00:31:40.715 --> 00:31:45.406
It comes down to your faith and your fears and your beliefs.

00:31:47.337 --> 00:31:48.762
Yeah, I agree with you on that.

00:31:48.762 --> 00:32:03.625
You said something where you said the relationships and when you go through sickness and health, that fear just creep in, and so you let that be your obstacle that you can't get past because of the fear.

00:32:03.625 --> 00:32:06.403
So I totally agree with you on that.

00:32:06.403 --> 00:32:12.943
So are there any projects that you're working on right now that we can look forward to in the near future?

00:32:14.236 --> 00:32:20.654
