Welcome back to the podcast, I'm Jamie Baynes. Today's guest is Jen Satterly; photographer, author and co-founder of the US Special Forces support group, the All Secure Foundation. I spoke to Jen and her husband Tom, in a podcast back in February of this year. That podcast focused on Tom's book, All Secure: A Special Operations Soldier's Fight to Survive on the Battlefield and the Homefront, which I had just read. I wanted to talk to Jen more about her experiences with the Special Forces community, so I reached out to her to see if she'd make another appearance on the podcast. She graciously accepted the offer and here she is.
Once you listen, let me know what you think of Jen. She and Tom have done so much for our Special Forces veterans and their families and there's so much more that they want to do. I'm currently reading a book entitled 'With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa' written by World War 2 veteran Eugene Sledge. His book discusses the horrors that he and other young Marines faced in the Pacific theater of the war and the trauma that the survivors had to deal with when they returned home. Trauma that they had to try and cope with alone. Jen and Tom want to make sure that today's Special Forces soldiers and their families aren't alone when they come back home.

And until next time, take care of one another and take care of yourself. Until next time, thanks for listening.
