You know what the ups and downs of jet-setting is. Returning from being jet-setted and then just being jet-sat, I feel like something just sat on me.

I'm tired.

Yeah, yeah, I am finding that running all of those programs on the Healy that I set you, like the, you know, geopathy, and some of those have really helped me. But yeah, there's nothing Like if you are six to nine hour time difference and you come home you're going to be a little funky, no matter what you do. Just a touch, just a touch. So we're heading off again to Natural Products Expo next week and someone asked us why we were attending and I was like it led to like this long conversation, this explanation of like oh, this is why we're going and this and this and this. But the discussion was really about, like how we fuel our bodies with healthy food habits, self-care supplements, adaptogens and natural remedies and that's how we are able to show up as the empowerment couple. But you've likely heard us talk about the importance of organic food before and the work I've done inside of the organic movement with social media and just social activism. But, yeah, we're going to talk a little bit more today.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, indeed, you probably listened to why Eat Organic. Bro, which is a stunning podcast. In what? Season two, season one, wow, okay.

Speaker 2:

Just a long time ago.

Speaker 1:

And you've probably heard some of our stories, but today we wanted to highlight all the various reasons we have unlimited energy and share these things as if you're new to our show.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 1:

So we're going to start from scratch.

Speaker 2:

Even from jet setting, we still started working on Monday and have been hauling ass. So, while you're like, I'm a little tired, like part of it is because we are out of balance, like we are out of our habit, right yeah.

Speaker 1:

And we were. We were working in layovers, like everywhere we go, we work.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so there's love to there's.

Speaker 1:

there's love that needs to be served. Yes, that's exactly.

Speaker 2:

So if you're part of our empowered posse or you've been in private coaching containers, some of this you might already know, but some of this might be totally new to you. But you might also be wondering like, what the heck is X-Bow S? So it's the natural products, um X-Bow, and two of them take place, one on the West and one on the East every year. Uh, I've, I've been going since I was very, very young, um with my dad and with different clients and um and it just keeps growing and it just keeps growing. Like it, organic is one of the largest growing sectors and when you go to X-Bow West, it's like 70,000 people I think they're estimating like a hundred thousand people showing up and it's just like a large trade show. But then there's also conference element and you're likely to see like different people who, um, you know, own the brands, of course, but then you see celebrities who, and influencers who are there endorsing different brands and collecting, you know, information about like products that they like.

Speaker 1:

So and it's massive too. I mean, imagine a football field worth of vendors, yeah, and then that's one floor. That's one floor, yeah, and then there's the next floor and the next floor and the next floor, so you can spend a full day in one floor and not see everything.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we are going to be there for a few different reasons, but let's just like dive right in. We will leave you links to check this out. OK, so my order of operation is snacks, because that's seriously that's one of the hardest things to find Like a healthy snack alternative when you're trying to live or you're trying to eat high vibrational foods on the regular.

It tastes good, it's handy, it comes from a box, but it's also, you know it has Like a whole food. Exactly, it has some nutritional density I'm really excited about. You know, of course, anything that's related to yoga and meditation. I'm looking forward to maybe seeing some of the brands that are coming in with some of the meditative devices, some of the devices that help with, like ab rollers and shoulder rollers and foot massagers. You know things like that Because all those things lead to an overall state of happiness, right, because you use those products to get through those hard times, absolutely Traveling and all that stuff.

Yep.

And then I'm really interested in meeting some of the people who have created these brands Right, it's really cool to have that, that handshake, you know, with someone who has produced something that has brought you value.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely We'll bet you. So I feel like every year I get really excited about like product innovations and I'm so excited just to like see what they've come up with. Like every expo has like a certain ingredient that you'll just see like over and over and over again. Like one year it was like, ah, say like maybe 10 years ago, and then you know like it always changes. And then I was like oh, there's coconut, you know yogurt or you know what I mean?

Speaker 1:

Kale yeah.

Speaker 2:

Well, like there's just like specific ingredients that just get so much play. Like you know, a couple of years ago it was like Ashwagandha and it was in like everything. It was like Ashwagandha shots and like anyway. So which is great, like it's just awesome. But I want to see the innovation. You know, sometimes people come up with these things that you're like whoa, that's so cool. So I'm excited about that and just seeing everyone and being at, you know, the award shows and seeing friends and extended family of our, you know, organic movement. So, yeah, I'm just excited to be there. So we will definitely be live posting on Instagram some of our favorite moments people, products and, of course, we are attending all the events like the organic Oscars, fresh ideas tent and so much more. But today we're going to cover four segments so that we can really give you as much fuel and power for you know, whatever you do, if you are a coach, if you are a mom, if you know whatever you do, you were going to need some fuel to get through your day. So the segments we're going to cover are nourishing your body with healthy food.

Speaker 1:

We're going to talk about clean living inside of your home.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so, and we're not talking about like duck and cover, survival, but more like we're not doing bunkers. Oh my gosh, okay. So I hear this a lot, so let's start here, okay, because why are we just talking about this, like, why are we showing up on the empowerment couple podcast talking about food and you know all of this stuff? But I hear this so much in my private and group coaching containers where a client will say, like, how do you have so much energy? And I really want to emphasize that it's a lot of how I treat my body. When I don't treat my body well, mike can attest You're. You know you're getting like the highlight reel of our life, right? There are times that I'm super out of habit and I have zero energy.

Speaker 1:

Honey, you are a Ferrari right and Ferraris you need to, you need to work on them things all the time.

Speaker 2:

So you can't you can't.

Speaker 1:

You can't eat some low grade food and have a high grade performance right.

Speaker 2:

Exactly. So you know they asked me this and I'm just like okay, like, if you don't have energy, let's talk about this. Like, why do you have low energy? Like, what did you eat today? Or like, give me you know your menu for like the last week. And then they tell me, right, and often it's like things that I'm like whoa, people still eat that. Like, and not in judgment, but in like, oh, okay, that makes sense. It's like, really, you can connect the dots, um, you know, and I listen with love and intent to give them the best coaching that I can give them back and serve love. But, like, if they are consuming you know, a bunch of processed foods, I'm like, okay, that literally there's no nutritional value. You are not going to get anything from that. Then, like you know, sometimes their diet is super clean and I'm just like okay, well, you know, onto the next, like, have you moved your body? Like, and how many times? And what did you actually do and did you like it? You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

Things that are obvious, that are always overlooked.

Speaker 2:

Right. And then that's what's so crazy, even for me. I'm like why do I feel like this? And then you know I could be like well, have you moved your body? You know like, and he coaches me because we need people to keep us, you know, to remind us just of. This is how the human brain works, like we need reminders.

Speaker 1:

That's why people find coaches.

Speaker 2:

Exactly. And, like you know, the questions can go on Like so if they've said like yes, then I'll be like oh, have you had clean water? Or, like you know, and how much? How much water did you drink? Um, you know, and how have you put your feet on the ground? You know that's a big one. Like have you gone outside? Have you smelled like fresh air? What? When's the last time you were in nature?

Speaker 1:

When's the last time the sun hit your skin?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yes exactly, exactly. But oftentimes I'm told like, oh, I've had as a diet coke today, you know, and I haven't moved much in a few days and I'm just like, okay. So while these might sound severe, but all of us all of us including me have been out of habit forget just how to fuel our wellness. So that is what today is all about is that you can get a lot of free medicine, which is how we describe health benefit practices that are available to anyone. So for a particular client that wasn't feeling grounded, I would say, okay, let's go get some barefoot on the earth, like put your feet in the grass. You know, obviously, if there's snow outside, then you want to try to find like something that you can stand on, maybe a porch that's covered. But you need to have those negative ions from the surface that is natural, from an outside surface, and they make their way into our bodies and release the free radicals we've been accumulating. These free radicals have been linked to premature aging, inflammation and disease, For example, like hugging is another one. Hugging is free and it will ground you too. So, like if going outside is an option. Hugging releases oxytocin in the brain and dopamine in the brain, which is known as the pleasure hormone. A study of 404 healthy adults conducted in 2014 by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University found that frequent hugs reduce people's susceptibility to stress. Oh my goodness. So and like stress is the ultimate, like damper on your energy, Like the second that you get really stressed and we're going to talk about it. Yeah, it's quicksand. You go and slow down, honey. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Once you're stressed, your body starts working against itself. Yeah, and what I would suggest? You know as far as trees on a sunny day, go outside, hug a tree hug a tree for 30 seconds. You can get both. That's grounding, that's a hug, that's you know you're going to get some.

Speaker 2:

It's all of it, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So, simply put, reducing stress hormones and reducing the intake of chemicals present in foods, self care products and environmental factors are really paramount for cultivating a healthy body and increasing energy levels. Yeah, and by opting for natural and organic alternative alternatives, you can really minimize their exposure to harmful substances that may disrupt bodily functions and contribute to fatigue, fatigue, right, yeah. So, embracing a lifestyle focused on clean, toxic, free choices not only supports overall well-being, but also enhances vitality, allowing individuals to thrive with sustained energy and vitality. Yeah, so you don't have to hit those dips yeah.

Speaker 2:

So just this week, a like the world's largest scientific review of its kind was published in BMJ, involving almost 10 million people. So it found that diets high in ultra process food are directly linked to 32 harmful effects to health 32.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

This includes a higher risk of heart disease, cancer, type two diabetes, adverse mental health and early death. The researchers said ultra process food has little, if any, whole food added, made palatable and attractive by using combinations of flavors, colors, emulsifiers, thickeners and other additives. No reason exists to believe that humans can fully adapt to these products. That's what they said. That's crazy.

Speaker 1:

That's a quote In quote. It's literally opening a box of chemicals and just eating those chemicals, thinking that it's food yeah, thinking that it's going to provide, like it's going to provide your body with what it needs to to to do what you wanted to do. And here's the funny thing.

Speaker 2:

I get this a lot in my like private sessions. So it's like, well, we're all going to die anyway. And it's like, yes, we all are. There is no getting out of this alive. However, there is a choice you can suffer while you're here or you can thrive while you're here. I know eighties and 90 year olds right now that I'm close to that are thriving because they are prioritizing these things that we're talking about. So that's what I want to convey is like, yes, there is no such thing as perfection. Yes, there is no such thing as like getting out of here alive. However, the quality of life that you will experience is diminished by what you ingest and put on your body and what you are surrounded by a period in old stories.

Speaker 1:

You know, if there is a juice that you should drink, a little pomegranate juice, and on the top of it it had a little little sticker that stated be young, as late as possible, Right? So that's what I'm going for. I want to be in my 70s, 80s, 90s, riding bikes, hiking, you know, playing with great grandkids, you know, just having a good time and being being able to do that. My body being able to do that will only happen if I take care of my body now.

Speaker 2:

Word and in some ways, when we do those shows, it reaffirms, a reminder to our self. You know we are always serving love to our empowered posse, but we're serving it right back to ourselves. So just know us doing this and having this conversation is elevating our experience so we can continue to show up and serve love. The best way to learn is to teach Exactly.

Speaker 1:

Let's dive into these segments. All right. So segment number one organic food. Organic food, which is the foundation of nourishment, Right. So eating organic, of course, reduces the amount of chemicals in your diet, namely persistent pesticides. Right, Because that's the, that's the big one, right? In fact, you can skip over 700 chemicals used in conventional food production just by choosing organic food products. 700 chemicals, that's a lot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yep.

Speaker 1:

That alone has a ripple effect, not only in our health but in the environment, because those chemicals used in ag end up harming our soil, our oceans, our waterways, our birds, our pollinators, our fish. I mean, you name it. Every living thing suffers when chemicals meant to kill pests and weeds are used. Yep Boom In fact, studies have shown that organic farms and crops are safe havens for pollinators, which are alarmingly disappearing right yeah.

Speaker 2:

So if you like any type of fruit or if you drink coffee every day, even if you're like I, hate fruit and vegetables, you drink coffee every day. Without bees, we are not going to be drinking coffee Period.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, you'll be drinking a chemical version of coffee that will have no nutritional value. Yes, so I mean, organic crops are pollinator friendly and they protect bees, they protect pollinators, they welcome wildlife and they shield them from the toxic chemicals that are raining down all over the planet.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes, yes, yes, especially with conventional ag, and just like how it just doesn't go away. So like you have to realize, when you are making these choices, you are choosing what kind of world you want to live in. Right, correct, correct. So the second thing to consider is how organic is better for your health, and this is often not talked about a lot. Usually people are just like oh well, you know, you won't have pesticides.

Speaker 1:

And they can't get past the price of it.

Speaker 2:

Right, right, and now food prices are so fucking crazy, right, like we can all just say, yes, I feel you, food prices are nuts. But now if you notice, like organic is actually not much higher than food prices yeah, it's actually even sometimes cheaper Like this is what's crazy that's happening is that the price gouging that's happening with our supply chain is, like you know, not affecting organic as much because it's not coming from overseas. Yeah, you know, some of it is, but most of it's coming from here. So here's, let's just talk about how it's better for your health. So organic food contains more vitamins, minerals, enzymes and micronutrients than conventionally raised food. There is a growing body of science and evidence documenting how farming methods can influence the nutritional content of foods. Some studies are showing more antioxidants, more omegas and higher nutrient density. Plus, you're skipping artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, gmos, which are genetically modified organisms because they are not allowed in organic food Chemicals chemicals chemicals, chemicals and chemicals, then if you're eating like meat or dairy products, your organic selections cannot contain antibiotics, growth hormones and the animals are raised consciously and not tortured. Cleaner food means cleaner diets, which leads to a cleaner bill of health.

Speaker 1:

You know, having lost a number of my family members to cancer, eating organic can significantly reduce your risk of cancer. There's a new study in JA in a internal medicine that found that those who ate organic foods frequently lowered their overall risk of developing cancer.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and the good news is, if you're new to organic, it's not too late to reduce your chemical load. Researchers found the levels of toxins decreased by an average of 60% after six days of eating organic food. Some of them are finding 90%, but the average was 60%, and so what we always recommend is to start just replacing your main food groups with organic, and then each week you can like swap out another one, right?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's very easy, very easy.

Speaker 2:

So let's move on to segment number two.

Speaker 1:

Segment two clean living, natural self-care and keeping a clean, harmonious home.

Speaker 2:

OK.

Speaker 1:

All right. So living clean is multifaceted and as we discuss these things, keep in mind the toxic load we discussed and how it depletes our energy. Right, so let's talk about strategies for living clean when it comes to self-care and keeping a clean, harmonious home.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so there's a lot of strategies for transitioning to natural and organic self-care products. Let's just talk about the elephant in the room. So your skin is your largest organ, and it's estimated that women use 12 personal care products per day and men use six personal care products per day.

Speaker 1:

The creams. I've got a lot of creams. Mine always makes fun of me.

Speaker 2:

He's like oh, did you just put the creams on Like when I go to sleep. It's like I'm just like a wet, like a wet seal. You got me creamed, I'm creamy now and now Mikey's oh, that sounded kinky. But when it comes to personal care products, it's a 70 billion dollar industry and most of the laws governing this industry haven't been changed since the Great Depression. So this is why, when I talk to my clients or when I post on social, I'm always talking about the cosmetic aisle as the cosmetics you know, because there are tons of chemicals used and almost like I want to say there's like 180 that have been linked to cancer, that are still in our personal care products and they're just not regulated.

Speaker 1:

So basically, what you're saying is you're literally buying vials of cancer and spreading it on your body and calling it beauty.

Speaker 2:

Yes, and the thing is is that, like I said, the laws are way out of date. But now, like, there are tons of healthy personal care products in the marketplace and they're not necessarily more expensive Some of them are but like we, you know, get to see like all this new innovation at this conference that we're going to, and a lot of times they are looking to find the cheapest way to serve you the same type of product. So there's so many dupes. I'm a glamour girl. I love like putting on makeup and doing all the things and smelling good and, like you know, like I love personal care, self care, beauty, glamour, and what I can tell you is that, if you're new to this, some of my favorite clean products. I'm going to be posting a lot on my I am Zuri account. You can follow me there. You can also look at all of the different things that I've already shared products that are accessible, cheap. You can even get them at Sephora or Target and you know it's important for you to look at your ingredients on your products and know what they actually are Like. If you're putting things into your armpit, for example, like that's where all of your lymph nodes are Like think, think how this is going to weigh you down and not fuel your body. So another one is like cleaning products. You want to talk about those, of course.

Speaker 1:

I mean, what are you cleaning with? Right so? That's the question you want to ask Do you need to detox your cleaning products? Right? So? According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the EPA, there are more than 85,000 synthetic chemicals in the products we consume and use on a daily basis. So if you're cleaning your home with a product that claims that it is a disinfectant or cuts grease, kills mold or is an antibacterial, it likely contains a pesticide and chemical of concern, right? So what is that? Usually multiple chemicals.

Speaker 2:

Mostly, like most of them, contain several chemicals of concern. And the problem is is that, like, these ingredients are tested separately, they don't get tested as a chemical cocktail. It would be like if I said, ok, this margarita is going to not make you drunk because it only has, you know, tequila in it when it really has, like triple sec, or it has you know it has other things like and it will add to the amount of alcohol that you're putting into your body. Well, the same is true when you look at like a cleaning product or even like skincare products, they have multiple ingredients that are chemicals of concern that have been identified as being cancer causing cosmetics. The same is true for cleaners is that they are not regulated as as a whole product. So the product, the ingredients, are regulated to an extent, but when they get put all together, there's no data that says like, ok, this tied pod, for example, is going to cause X. They don't know that because it's not tested, it's not regulated. Nobody knows. And but we know from looking at the environment and testing the environment, like, hey, actually all of these things are showing up, killing our fish, killing our waters, killing our soil, like they are doing damage to things that were once living, because we are using them without a consciousness of what they actually are and how they're actually harming us.

Speaker 1:

When we when we come up with terms or we come across terms like chemicals of concern, I always want to pause right there and really get an idea of like what does that actually mean? Yeah so chemicals of concern.

Speaker 2:

You're talking about something that is that can cause cancer, something that can, that can kill our fish, like and it's a nice way actually of just saying like you should be concerned if this chemical is in your product, correct, and so, like EWG Environmental Working Group and some of these other nonprofit organizations, do these studies to figure out, like, what are these chemicals of concerns actually doing? Food and water watch is great. Anyway, we could talk all about the nonprofits that are doing some of this like watchdog services on these things, and but I mean really studies are showing that cleaning with toxic chemicals can have adverse health consequences, like lowered immunity and antibiotic resistance.

Speaker 1:

And toxic cleaners also add to poor indoor air quality. Right, we have a huge show about that.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, and according to EWG, inhalation of airborne particles is linked to coughs and respiratory irritation, as well as more serious long term consequences, including lung disease and cancer. Yes, and we cannot talk about attending Expo West without sharing that part of our fuel does come from using adaptogens, almost certainly. In order to understand adaptogens, you have to understand the stages of stress. There are three stages. The first stage is the alarm reaction stage, and this refers to the initial fight or flight response.

Speaker 1:

The second stage is the resistance stage. After the fight or flight response, the body begins to repair itself. It still releases cortisol, but is at a much lower amount, right. So this allows your heart rate and your blood pressure to begin to normalize, but remain on high alert for a while just in case something else pops off right. Your body begins to repair itself, while your hormone levels, your heart rate, your blood pressure regain its optimal pre-stress state, right Getting back to where it's supposed to be.

Speaker 2:

Yes, unfortunately, because we find ourselves in prolonged stressful situations anybody hear me? Our bodies are not permitted to rest and repair and therefore they remain on high alert. Eventually, our body will adapt and learn how to live within higher stress levels. That's super sad, right? This is not a good thing. It is at this stage that the body goes through some negative chemical changes to cope with the chronic stress. That, for the most part, goes undetected. Your body thinks that it is under attack and continues to secrete high doses of cortisol and adrenaline, which keeps your blood pressure elevated, and you may think you're managing stress well, but your body is working double and triple time just to keep up. The body is strong and can hold out for a while. However, at some point your body is producing more cortisol and adrenaline than it can process and at that point it goes into the third stage, aptly named the exhaustion stage.

Speaker 1:

The third and final stage comes from prolonged or chronic stress. Your once strong and healthy body struggles to keep up with the most basic of tasks, where your body's physical, emotional and mental resources are drained and you no longer have the strength to fight stress. And at this point your strength and vigor are replaced with exhaustion and hopelessness. And if you look at the top seven causes of death, each and every one can trace its roots back to stress.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so that's why we take adaptogens. Adaptogens help us stay in the second stage longer, because, while it's pretty much impossible to ward off stressful situations altogether right, we can tap into the power of mother nature, which adaptogens are just from mother nature, no synthetics here and they offset the dangerous effects of prolonged stress on our bodies. But we had a lot of questions that came in about energy and fueling our busy lives, and so I set those aside for this show. There's a handful of them, but a lot it's because people see us traveling or running businesses or coming to something, and these questions, I think, are stemming from that. So we added them to a hat to play questions in a hat. So I'm going to pick the first one and then let's just do two each, ok, ok. So let's see. Ok, that sounds funny. How do you take vacations with the high amount of workload you have? This is hilarious, because I mean, isn't that funny? Ok? So, yeah, well, what I can tell you is that some vacations are very relaxing and they work. You get relaxation out of them, and how we do it really is we have an amazing team. We are not people who are going to gatekeep and say, oh yeah, we just do it all by ourselves. No, we have a great team. We have all of the things that we just talked about. So supplements, we drink water. Our show last week was all about how to vacation. As an organic freak, it was a repurpose from a previous season, but we are talking about how we vacation now is we have to set boundaries with our clients. Sometimes I'm not good at this, so that's why I left, because sometimes clients will be like I have this meltdown, existential crisis, whatever they dub it and they bother you on vacation. And the thing is is that if you don't set a healthy boundary, then that continues to happen, and most of our clients are amazing and they allow that. But sometimes you have to reset boundaries, prioritize your happiness and you definitely want to make sure you're conscious of who you're going on vacation with and who you're spending your time with, because there are energy vampires everywhere.

Speaker 1:

Everywhere? Yeah, exactly. And what I would add to that list really is habits. You have to bring your habits with you. That's where a habit comes in handy. So if you have a habit of say, I created a habit for myself after I get out of the shower I'll do 25 push-ups Not a big deal, but I found myself on vacation getting out of the shower and doing my habits, so which would significantly help me with my posture seeping in crazy beds and sitting on a plane carrying bags. You have to do things that keep your body strong. That's where the habit comes in Wherever you go.

OK, here we go. The question is what's the number one thing you would recommend doing daily for creating energy?

Speaker 2:

Ooh, that's a good one, lovings. Thank you for that.

Speaker 2:

Oh wait, I'm answering.

Speaker 1:

This is your.

Speaker 2:

You picked the question. No, no you go first For me and again, this is what I do. So for me I would say the thing that works best is to move my body. The thing that I like to do I hate to just repeat myself a lot, but it is the simple for me is I like to dance, and usually it only takes one song to totally change my state. So if I'm home I will jump on the trampoline to really get my lymphatic system detoxed. But if I'm not home, just put on a song on my iPhone and dance, that's exactly.

Speaker 1:

I'm glad you said you mentioned the lymphatic system and that's how I was going to answer it. I see you and I have a conversation while we were traveling and I see the body as a sponge and you put a sponge in a pile of stress. It's going to soak up that stress. So in order to maintain energy, you got to squeeze the stress out of the sponge. So if the squeezing is going for a walk, if it's taking a bath, if it's doing yoga, if it's drinking a lot of water and staying hydrated whatever you need to do to allow that stress to cycle out of your body you will then claim back all of the original energy that your body is supposed to have.

Speaker 2:

Yep for sure. So let's do another one. What do you got so okay? Why do you both have so much effortless support for one another? This is hilarious, like whoever wrote this. Like if only you knew, like the times, that we, you know, are in opposition of each other. You know, like you are, you are listening to you're not listening to our fights, like we aren't recording our fights on our podcast.

Speaker 1:

That would be a whole different show. That'd be like some Jerry Springer right there. Right, I'm not saying we're blowing, we're throwing blows, but we're, we're, we're tossing some some verbal daggers.

Speaker 2:

Some times when we get out of habit, we are still human. Sorry, shocker, this is just part of the human experience and being in proximity to each other 24 seven. We work together, we co-parent together, we do a lot, a lot of poop together, and I absolutely love him and adore him and respect him. However, there are times when, yeah, I feel like, oh, he wants to die. He wants to die today.

Speaker 1:

You're getting on my last nerve. You know what?

Speaker 2:

Even you know you can be spiritual, you can be balanced, you can, you can have all of these things and if you don't have a disagreement with your partner, that really to me is an indication that, like, we are still working on each other, we are still growing together, we are still agitators for each other to bring our best self to the equation and to expand. You know, you, you will not experience this life on this planet being only high vibrational. That that isn't, that isn't how we are experiencing life. Maybe, maybe you know, maybe some people will argue and be like, oh yeah, well, I just meditate all day long and I'm a monk and it is all high vibrational. But you need contrast. You need contrast, and so contrast provides definition.

Speaker 1:

You don't know what happiness is until you know what unhappiness feels like.

Speaker 2:

And I would just say that it's not effortless support is just. What I want to say is that it might sound that way because Mike and I have a lot of banter love and respect and we do support each other. But that comes from just a foundation of love, like that's why we shared our origin story, like we just instantly connected and had a chemical and spiritual connection immediately.

Speaker 1:

That was unsevered.

Speaker 2:

That we haven't severed, even when we separated temporarily, like we still had love for each other. We weren't trying to like revenge plot, you know.

Speaker 1:

I would go so far as to say that the separation never existed. Like you and I knew each other, probably from a past life and the past life before that past life and we just kind of showing up.

Speaker 2:

But I would like yeah, we support each other because we like each other, so that helps. So, like, if you're in a relationship, it helps if you like your partner.

Speaker 1:

I would also go so far as to say you know, if you can get to the mental state where you see you or your reflection in your partner, then you have an opportunity to think differently, right. And then you can treat your partner as you would treat yourself. And if you find yourself treating yourself like garbage and you're having some problems with your partner, it's probably because you are also treating your partner like garbage, right? So if you want your partner to be to smile, smile at your partner, right. You know, if you're looking at a mirror, you're not going to tell the mirror to smile by frowning.

Speaker 2:

You're going to smile. Yeah, be the change you want to see.

Speaker 1:

If you want to feel love, give love.

Speaker 2:

Right, right, if you want to stop arguing.

Speaker 1:

Stop arguing. Be the person to stop arguing first, Right? Or if you want to battle it, then keep battling it, but you are still a reflection of your partner.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so let's do one more, okay.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

got, it's your turn, so go ahead and pick, pick.

Speaker 1:

Do you think having a partner that enjoys similar things adds energy to your life and business? I would say yes, but it is. I would also go so far as to say is that what I like about our relationship is that you also have your own set of things that you like to do. Right, so that we can come together, we can do stuff that we like to do together, but you also have a full set of things that you enjoy doing and I have my full set of things so that we're not dependent on one another.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Mike's on that black diamond, you know, going down super fast on his snowboard and I'm just like I'm going to be in the lodge and probably getting a massage from this dude over here. Thanks, Mike.

Speaker 1:

And it works out. It works out at the end of the day. How was your massage? It was awesome. How was your ride? It was awesome. Let's kiss, let's cuddle, let's do some good stuff.

Speaker 2:

I feel like when I met Mike, one of the things I said I was like I have, you know, like really good girlfriends and I'm really tight family, like I'm going to live my life, you're going to live your life, and then we're going to meet in the middle. And that is what I would say also for business is that we have our separate businesses, but we have businesses together and we meet in the middle. And sometimes we don't meet in the middle and sometimes we get off track, and that is just part of being in union and partnership and deciding whether it's worth working it out, and sometimes it's not, and sometimes it is, and in our case it still has been good, so we are still working it out it has worked out.

Speaker 1:

It has worked out and typically you know you, during, during those conversations where we're, you know, battling it out, it's clear when we are in our hearts versus in our heads.

Speaker 2:

Let me see that question again though, because, like they said, similar thing adds energy. So the fact that Mike does like some similar things, it does add energy. Like, for example, if he didn't like nature, that would be hard for me because I love nature, so if he didn't like to go for a hike, for example, that's one way that I build energy. Or if he didn't like to do yoga, that would be harder, but I would still be able to do it without him. I feel like we, you have to find the balance of partnership versus codependency, and it's not somebody's fault if they don't like the same things that you like. Correct, I would find someone if I were giving that advice. I'd find someone who has some similar interests and who is willing to be independently, happy and thriving without you as well.

Speaker 1:

Like, for instance, before I met you, I called you out Right Before I met you. I was like I want to find someone who likes to dance. I love dancing. Dancing is is. I've been dancing ever since I was a kid, like a professional dancer. But you know what I'm saying? Michael Jackson thriller comes on and I can do Michael Jackson thriller dance because I've done that so many times. Right, but when music is playing, I move my feet. That's just the way it works.

Speaker 2:

So when I met Zuri, that first, the very first thing that we did after we talked was we went dancing. We danced well together. Guess what?

I do the incense, I do. I don't do bubbles, but I do like a full on, a full on bath, like candles I set that for you. Yeah, sometime will you clean the bath for me, which is nice, it's very nice. Some epsom salt, little coconut oil and usually some essential oils, and then you know like, yeah, candles, let's go. I make a whole experience.
